Trudeau was a national disgrace. He is no Obama. Trudeau threw gas on the fire of national unity problems, and embarassed us on the world stage. I guess that's what happen when socialists take power.

Piss on them. They can raise their own damn money. Why should tax dollars be going to political parties. That money can be used for so much more other purposes than financing posters and tv ads. The tories can raise money with small donations, why can't the others?

Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. It had everything to do with socialism. Nobody was allowed to make money there, it all went to the state. Like what Cuba, North Korea, and Venezuela, yah those are real winners. Communism sucks and the Americans winning the cold war proved it. Any ideology that punishes people for succeeding is doomed to fail.

A lot of people don't want to farm for a living, that's why the big guys are going in and buying up everything. Then there are those idiots from Europe who are manipulating the Ag market with their enormous subsidies. Bigger farms, yes are inefficient, you would end up getting what would happen in the auto industry. Keeping grain prices somewhat high provides incentive for smaller producers to stay on. A lot of the big ag biz corporations do not want to start up something so risky or there would be a lot of producers bought out already. Don't blame ag biz corporations, they're just making money. However there are some where the competition bureau should investigate. Blame the Europeans for their ludicrous subsidies that they pay out and they're ridiculous importing restrictions.

Having that attitude helps a person get through messes like this a lot faster. I believe it, you know reputable sources have mentioned that.

McD's workers are paid minimum wage becasue that's all their worth. Those McDonalds workers are getting paid that much because they agree to it. Tims workers in Alberta were getting 19 bucks an hour. Poor people don't get treaded on in a capitalistic society, they tread on themselves. How does treading on poor people make for a successful capitalistic society, if anything treading on poor people makes it worse. Having more people who can afford to buy your goods is what makes for a successful capitalistic society and that is why they invest in poor countries so people there have money to buy their products. These guys spend their piles of money because they bloody well earned it. If people in Africa decided to civilize themselves and not kill each other, they'd be better off as well and could be rich themselves. By exploiting resources, big business is improving their lives, their customer's lives, and their worker's lives. That's what gives them the right, plus taking the risk and providing the capital to do so. Well since that private hospital is going to be paying taxes, the public hospital who receives those new taxes will be running good as well. Part of the two tier system is doctor pay equity so that both sides get the same skilled doctor and equipment. To sum it up. Socialism is a dead horse and a bloody joke.

Agribusiness however does employ a lot of people, so does food processing. There are a lot of jobs dependant on it. I'm talking about either working as a laborer, or getting jobs with ag companies. I run a bare bones outfit. And do custom work to supplement income and pay bills.

Inputs paid for, and as much grain/canola as possible sold when news of the housing credit crunch first hit. I'm looking at demand in general, more people in the world can afford to buy grain than ever before, and there are more uses for it than ever before. Lots of farmers went on a shopping spree and expanded over the last two years. People are prepared for this mess. This mess will be over in a little bit as the market corrects itself. Like I said, even in October when the world was in its economic nosedive, Jim Rogers was predicting a bright future for agriculture. Cattle ranchers are the ones really suffering as they don't have experience in running a business with restricted cashflow.

By forcing everyone to take public healthcare, you in essence believe that millionaires should be eating out of soup kitchens. Two tier is needed in Canada and badly. Poor people get their care, and people who can pay don't plug up the system. A big business pays corporate tax and their shareholders get taxed on their income, same as CEO's and boardroom members. If anything big business gets gouged at tax time. Robert Herjavec came to canada with 20 dollars in his pocket. He became one of the richest people in Canada, and not by accepting handouts. Centre right wants to give opportunity to succeed, the left wants to take it away.

I'm not saying it's illegal, i'm saying its immoral and sleazy. There is another option an election. Why is the left so afraid to go for one. They plan on spending tens of billions of dollars in bailouts, what's a paltry 300 million? Why can't the people vote if the coalition should take power or not? All politicians act in self interest, that's how the game is played. It was Chretien who passed laws severely impacting party financing. The tories figured out a way to raise money, the Liberals didn't. Cry me a river. Mulroney had a majority and decided to screw around, what happened to the PC party again???

Still better than manufacturing. It's even still better than it was 4 yrs. ago when the economy was booming.

Tell me how and specifically how centre right policies don't help out lower or middle classes? They would rather see them keep their money they make. Sounds helpful to me. They cut taxes for small business and big business because it makes it easier for them to employ these people. But some people seem too dumb to understand this.... it's the reason the tories have stayed in power for so long in Alberta and it's a reason tories are up in arms against the coalition... Left wing parties don't know what the hell is going on and it's time for coalition supporters to take a class in economics and commerce and pass exams on them before they should be allowed to vote... because honestly this is just ridiculous.

When Harper gets voted down at the end of January, i'm guessing there will be an election. She does not want protestors at Rideau Hall. It's the only fair way to decide if a coalition should take power. There will be a large amount of Canadians voting because this is such a big issue. The coalition is so unpopular, that the GG would be a fool to grant it. The GG would not want her name to be associated with enabling such an unpopular seizure of power, she will grant this election and let the people decide. It's simple logic really. As for Canadians not wanting an election, well lots of Canadians don't want to pay taxes either.

Some people who don't celebrate christmas at all are excluded because the Christmas lights are up. If your going to censor christmas then it's all or nothing. Anything else is a double standard.

The gov't can present itself how it wants, if people don't like it then that sucks to be them. The current gov't is right of centre, a lot of people don't like it, and it sucks to be them. A lot of people don't celebrate christmas period, are they excluded for the gov't putting lights up? Why the double standard? By your logic, parliament should be bare.

I'm not saying to exclude anyone. They can have a nativity scene, the jewish candle, and a statue for baal set up there for all I care.
