Should Harper govern like a majority?
Spike22 replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Can't we all get along? Let us all bask in the political freedom we all take for granted and relax. I am sure the conservatives will not destroy the country. No party except the Block wants to destroy this country that we all love. No I want everyone to take a minute and reflect on what a fantastic place this is to live and work together to make this the most harmonious and pleasant place to live. -
I like the NDP, I also like the green and liberals and conservatives depending on the issue. Jack has done a good job for his party but he really should remove the cardborad from his shorts. He always seems so uptight. Perhaps if he kicked back in some jeans, took some sotol softener and belted one back before he goes before the media he might come across as being a average joe.

Looking at the leadership candidates.

I think the liberals need a real headliner that is good with the media. Rex Murphy is a good looking guy or how about Rita MacNeil - OK maybe not. -
Yes unregulated industry that is what is needed here like China or India. Great places to do business and no environmental stuff to worry about. "Now Lee dump that mercury in that lake over there - good boy. Yes the one with all the fish swimming upside down."

Betsy you go girl, boy whatever you are...the gay agenda must be stopped and these organizations are ridiculous.
-
Shakeyhands I didn't know you cared.
-
Black Dork you devilish brute you...I am so m-bare-assed.

I think as long as the CBC makes any money at all and rebates the Cdn taxpayer for funds it receives from other sources they should go for it. Oops this will never happen what was I thinking of. It will no doubt not work because they are a government run/funded organization that always manages to mismanage. They are a cash sucking money pit that can never be satisfied no matter how much you feed it. You are right I want my money back CBC!
-
Well sir, if furthering the human race means more folks like you, then I can see a definite upside to its end. I also find your apparent fascination with the mechanics of anal intercourse to be pretty interesting. Methinks thou dost protest too much. You an expert Black Dog?
-
I hope CBC makes some huge coin. Man oh man they are a money losing pig. Then we can stop supporting the drivel that is on there through our taxes - ya good one what was I thinking. Go Howard, you porn loving, goofy looking freak ya.
-
From Black Dog "But you are a bigot. You believe your worldview is superior to that of gay people who's sexual prolictivities differ from your own. That's the dictionary definition of bigotry. My problem with you has been your avoidance of simple facts and logic" Yes we are bigots. Yes our worldview is superior except when it comes to gaylike things like balet and flower arranging and interior decorating (also those gay dudes eye for the straight guy show - learned some new grooming tips). Also we have not avoided the simple facts and logic. Gay couples can not reproduce together and hence furthering the human race. Driving down the Chocolate Autobahn does not count as being a married couple. Is black dog your married name or pet name - woof.

"No wonder Canada is viewed as the laughing stock of the world as it seem's the only ones that can produce good, clean, high quality, un-biased programming." What the heck? You mean CBC's dry as a popcorn fart programs - yeck. For a billion dollars of taxpayers $ I want better entertainment then a remake of the Beachcomers or a Rita MacNeil special. [like HNIC, news and documentaries though]

Like I stated before it is a rsiky and extremely expensive venture to extrapolate oil offshore. The governments of all parties in each province have attempted to drum up business however they are at a geographical disadvantage. They would love to have the revenue from the oil fields in Alberta there. I wonder what would happen if the roles were reversed? Would Alberta still be a cow patty and Atlantic Canada a booming ecomomic force. I see things changing in major centres like Halifax and St John's for those involved in the industry however the average person has seen nada.

Hopefully they have left earth and gone back to their mother planet Corn-Hole-E-Oh.

I think Rick Mercer will be recruited, maybe Anne Murray or some other Canadian icon i.e. Stompin' Tom Conner - can you hear the tunes he would write and sing during a debate? I see no one on the radar that would have mass appeal. Most are carboard politicians we need the equivalent of a Bill Clinton to spice things up - cigar anyone?

There is no denying that Newfoundland has oil reserves off the coast. The problem has been it is extremely expensive(and risky) to get it. There have been oil rigs off the coast of Newfoundland since the early 1970's . How much revenue has anyone seen in NL - very little. The price of doing business there and the payback to the companies and investors has not exceeded their expectations (repayment) and as such little economic benefit to the average citizen has taken effect. Alberta on the other hand has easier access to its oil wealth and the associated infrastructure to turn it into a useable consumer product. They also have been getting oil and the revenue from it for a long time now. To say they are are not directly benefiting from oil is hogwash, imagine if there was no oil, it would look a lot like Sasketchewan and the same climate where people are leaving due to limited opportunities. Newfoundland due it's geographic location ansd small poulation also is not a great place to be in the manufacturing sector. The cost of doing business is too much: wages, shipping and having enough skilled workers are siome of the issues along with high taxes. When a Newfoundlander says their ecomomy rests on the ocean they are correct as it has been for the past 300 years. They are understandably worried about the right wing agenda and what it might mean. Will ACOA remain, will social benefits for seasonal workers be eliminated etc. I think the Canadian government can do more to promote our resources in the world and the opportunities for companies to do business there. Why Alberta did not fully embrace the conservatives is interesting. Perhaps they just want to maintain the status quo and not rock the boat. Perhaps there will be more asked of Alberta assisting the 'have not provinces'.

Fixed-Wing SAR - Can we get it right this time?
Spike22 replied to cappy67's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Globemasters for search and rescue? Sorry not a viable option given the regions we have to cover. Good for airlft though. -
geoffrey I do represent a lot of peoples views - the old silent majority. Like I said it they would all get off their rear ends and speak out about this issue we would have a more balanced story unlike what is depicted in the media where a lot of the left wing liberal gays work. Starnge how the US military still has not bought into the gay thing. This is an interesting article and associated forum here: http://www.military.com/NewsContent/0,1331...C=airforce-a.nl The Canadian military on the other hand has video's depicting gay's and that they are part of the team and not to pick on them boo hoo. not in my fox hole buddy.
-
Now how do we show this video to the rest of the planet that are poor as dirt and whose regimes use these weapons? Having seen the effects mines cause they should be eradicated.
-
Call me a homophobic or old fart whatever I don't like to see the gay agenda thrown at me all the time or for that matter sex of any kind (yes I am old) everytime I watch TV or my grandchildren are exposed to it. Yup that's me Mr conservative with a big capitol C. I can't believe how complacent the majority of Canadian are. The "well I guess we just have to live with it" attitude, why because it is told to us in the media: barf, puke spew and for the gay's "meow" if you don't like it.
-
When I went to boot camp and other training in the military way back when that was hard damn time. Sounds like in jail you have time to meditate, learn a trade, go to school, get high etc etc. Sounds like a glamourous life for these misfits of society. As for chain gangs (that now refers to S&M) and sex toys. I guess they will get more work now that jails have banned indoor smoking. Butt out in jail now actually means putting out your butt. Well this is just great, then when they get out and no longer have a virgin rear end they can legally get hitched and live happily ever after (except that their toys are no longer supplied)

Should Harper govern like a majority?
Spike22 replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
He's da man right now. Tough on crime, free vote to rid marriage of da fags & lesbo's, beefing up the military, eliminating political curruption, arming the border guards[you can come out now the shootings over], helping every city, joining hands across the nation singing cum ba ya (sorry that was one thing Harper voted against doing). Polotics is a dirty game and if he can get into bed with the right parties at the right time and if they don't respond to their plans he should and probably will use the media to undermind the party(s) that don't support their conservative initiatives. This will make them [those opposed], if properly managed, look like dolts. We will see how the advisors/handlers, MPs and the PM handle these situations once the first major platform item is tackled. Should be great fun to watch. -
Blackdog your a gay old fella aren't ya? Standin' up fer gay rights and parading it as a social movement. A bowel movement maybe. Bartholemew : (spoken with a gay lisp)Bruce I found a new way to do it. Bruce: No shit? Bartholemew: Nope, not a trace. What happened to the good old days when the closet doors were securely locked and we didn't have to see the gay's prancing on the streets and boob tube. I can imagine back in the 30's when I was young if this gay movement had taken place what would have happened?
