  18. I said like all parties...no exceptions> All parties have the same official mantra: we will take your weak, freaks, ethinic, racial, political, handicapped, mentally unstable retards into our fold and make you one of u$. Now lets hold hands and sing the (insert name of the Canadian political party of your choosing) song...
  19. Once again it comes down to the budget to determine the fate of another possible election. This country is so messed up right now. The block should have never have been allowed to exist IMHO as it represents only the Quebec issues not anything nationally (name another democratic country that would have allowed a seperatist state party within their federal political system - how about the Alabama Legency party?). This has thrown federal politics into dissaray as often they seem to wield the balance of power. The polls always show the liberals & conservatives within a few percentage points of each other (33-35%) the NDP's alway hover around the high teens to low 20 percent range and the BQ are potentially/often the deciding voting members. What a country!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Heard they are speeding up some of the major projects in DND to get out before the budget announcement. Look on the Merx site for the RFP for the Tactical airlift project (www.C-130J.ca )on or about 10 March. In fact all the govenment departments are looking to burn their money before the yearly 31 March fiscal year end.
  21. Afghanistan: in the Thesaurus it shows up as a "poppy growing shithole, loved by vacationing Pakistani's and terrorists alike". Canada we like to solve the worlds problems however this is a cultural issue the hardest enemy to fight. Hundreds of years of inbred retards living there who are dumb as dirt that would gladly sell their mother's soul to plant a bomb against innocent people. (OK they can be bribed for $50) the next minute you are having tea with them. What a delightful place. We are in a no win situation given the limited resources provided for such a huge area. By the way where the hell is Bin Laden hiding. Surely to god the western world has some intel on the dude by now?
  22. I see that the liberals do not want to alienate the all too important East Indian, ethnic, minority vote. They have to be perceived like all parties should to be a centre based. Affend no one, be pro-security one day, freedom far all the next, gun laws in, gun laws out, porn good, porn bad all depends on the audience, mood of the country at a given moment bla bla bla.
  23. I wish I had the money in 1990 when we started to have kids. Boohoo so you get some free cash some of which is taxable. Folks we got nothin' when we had kids . We made the choice to raise kids the old fashioned way: Dad worked, Mom stayed home and raised the kids (I would have rather stayed home if my wife prefered). Yup we sacrificed the new cars so that someone else would not do the job that our maker entrusted us to do ourselves. Why is it whenever someone does something nice for someone (in this case the gov't) it is never quite good enough and they expect more all the time? Next Canadians will want nursemaids provided for free because working mom's don't have time to breast feed or use the breast pump ugh...
  24. Wow what an excellent debate this thread has created. Hillier has done a good job (for an army guy haha- I am air force). He has instilled pride in the military and has stuck his ass out - sometimes to his detriment. The political bosses (lib or con) seem to either be afraid to get rid of him or there is no one else they could get to do the job 'properly'. His speeches lately I have to agree could be construed as biased towards one party, the conservatives. It may be justly warranted as they see the need for a strong military and the structural re-organization that is presently underway with DND. Some of these new inititatives were desperately needed: command restructuring and puchase of trucks, ships and aircraft. The debate will never end whether Canada has a big enough military, if the funding is adequate etc etc. I can tell you we definitely need new equipment and recapitalization $$$. Our personnel work miracles everyday to operate and maintain what amount to antiques in less than desireable buildings. I really don't care who's to blame liberals or conservative's, what is important that the country needs a military force and we need the tools to do the job mandated by the government, whatever colour it happens to be.
  25. Nation within a nation within a nation is that what the henglish and da natives inside Kweebec are going to call demselves eh?
