  1. But for equality sake, gay couples should have the same benefits and protection as heterosexuals. I guess just like common-law spouses. But you did raise a very important issue here: What about benefits for polygamists and bisexual marriages? How many spouses in one "family" will actually collect survivors' beneift? This can be exploited, fraud-wise! Who ends up paying??? Taxpayers! I am livid enough to find out that we are now required to pay for our own eye-test (which is a natural occurence as the population ages)....and yet, EGALE is lobbying for or had already succeeded in requiring provinces to pay for transgender surgeries! Liberals really screwed things up! For equality sake they should have the same benefits? Barf!!!!!! What next beastiality couples getting the same benefits and protection. Yes I can understand gays not getting beat up for their lifestyle selection but for taxpayers to foot the bill that is where I draw the line. I am willing to give some tax credits up to $200 a year for their gay essentials such as vaseline (that is a whole lot of vaseline for 1 year), whips, canoe paddles etc :-).

  3. Great what the hell else is out there. Welcome to Canada the land of the fags, lost souls and assorted other goofs, oddballs and freaks of nature. Good god and this is supposedly the best country on earth to live - makes one wonder what is going on in the rest of the planet...
  4. This is exactly what we need cut and dried papers taking diametrically opposed views. One conservative and one liberal. Then you will know where each stands and which paper to buy. Good for the Winnipeg paper for being so one sided makes it easy for us poor cotton pickin' common folk to pick a side for us. Thanks ya'll.
  5. Ooooo Justin....I can hear it now Trudeau Mania II. Fiddle Faddle let's skeddaddle. It would be a terrific hoot. Party on Garth, party on Justin.
  6. Rick Mercer
  7. yes it is against the rules of major parties. That is why they have a (selection) process to get nominated in your riding.
  8. Run like your da boss. Pussy footing around kissing arses will last about a year and then we'll punt yer party outta office. Realistically party pressure will make you snuggle up to anyone that will help you move your party's agenda forward. Good luck and see you at the poles in 2007-2008.
  9. Who will pay for survivor benefits and other benefits the governments provide for gay marriages? What will additional (gay) marriages end up costing the Canadian taxpayer. I really don;t care if Mr. Cornhole-E-O marries Mr. Dark BumCrak however no one has asked the question as to how much this will cost us. It may be nothing or it might be billions. Does anyone know?
  10. Then why the hell is oil so expensive here? Bla bla bla I can hear everyone now, it is expensive to get the stuff and refine it. (sure it is when you see the wages they earn). Seriously we need to produce more for our own use and become energy self sufficient instead of relying on the R.H.'s and sell the stuff to whoever will pay the most. China, India, Europe and the US will increasingly place more demands on supply and we will have them by the bal_ls. Come on Canada.
  11. The ramp mandatory requirement is now gone due to political pressuring (lobbying by Bombardier) to gov't/DND, ADM/MAT, PWGSC. The proposed Bombardier product does not have one and as such all involved in the project have been directed to re-focus their attention to a non-ramp FWSAR platform. Let the BS begin. Who would think political and industrial meddling would end after the MHP debacle and the Liberals not me...
  12. I read each of the parties platforms and if the level of effort from the Liberals platform is any indication it is no wonder they lost. The NDP's and ther Green Party was was pretty good and the Conservatives too. They addressed more than the liberals, The liberals siimply stated how good they were fiscally. There was little if anything else on crime, taxes, etc. A very poor effort that any grade 12 student could have done 100% better.
  13. The maritimes is so lame. I am a maritmer and the old farts there still wants ACOA, their plants to be continually bailled out, the fishing opened without restrictions, child care, welfare with out work, and EI paid for 42 weeks after working 10. I also worked in the US where you work 10-14 hours a day often on Saturday's it is the norm in their culture and in Asia. What happened to earn yer own way? What would these people do when I was young in the 1930's? They would fart, choke and die I guess. We made our own way in the depths of the shittiest decade with out a social net. Why can't people show some fortitude, move where the jobs are (Alberta beckons) instead of sitting around with yer finger up yer arse and make a go of it. (everyone needs a good hand knite pair of sock ya know - now get cracking or is that knit one pearl one)
  14. Apparently by her actions she goes either way...
  15. He should appoint space dude Marc Garneau because: - he is a space cadet like George W.; - he could have Georgie Boy over with his toy spacemen and play "circle the planet Yeranus" - Georgie could have Marc over to the white house and play hide the space probe...in the black hole Could greet one another with snappy yet childlike phrases such as: "George is that a piece of Canadian softwood in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"
  16. Reality First of all I think it was time for a change, I think parties simply get stale and need time to rebuild and come up with some fresh ideas with new people. I think this election sent a message that corruption, scandle and entitlement are at least getting the visibility they deserve, the democratic process was followed and the governing party was voted out of office. We will see if the same BS continues on the hill, I fully suspect it will due to the culture that permeates throughout Ottawa with all parties. You have to have a just culture, one that puts country before self or the party to which you are affiliated. This is not the case in Canadian politics. Each organization, community, town, village, city and province wants, wants and wants more. The way it works here is you bug the crap out of me your MP until they say "I will get you the funds to help build the Jane Doe Memorial Arena". What the hell? We are real downhomers when it come to ass scratching politics and it will only continue with every union, car maker, farmer, fisherman, military leader, environmentalist, day care workers, healthcare workers, universities etc etc begging for limited dollars. I see these continues pressures along with kissing the other parties butts a difficult challenge and I see us again at the polls in 12-24 months. Don't worry everyone it only cost us the taxpayer $275m+ each time we go through this process ugh.
  17. A French Canadian will take over or some old party hack that is bilingual; definitely not someone from the flatlands, BC or the Maritimes. Now you old hacks dust off those old Redbooks and get going, there is a party leadership race about to start. Yee Haw Now lets see what would my platform entail: I think the government should support childcare for all children to the age of 21, pay all their university or other post HS education up to including their PhD's. Eliminate all taxes on booze and smokes, legalize maryjane, let the military members and RCMP grow hair down to their as_ holes, and issue everyone in Canada a small tree, bush or other live plant to help clean up the air and beautify the country. Think I gots a chance ya'll?
  18. McKenna is a fine polititian. The key word being polititian. Actually from all accounts he now is doing a good job on behalf of the Canadian government regardless of which party he is affiliated, however if we want to start relations on new footing with the yanks we just might have to replace him. Sorry but polly-tics is a dirty game and heads might have to roll.
  19. Well done to all party candidates for running - thanks for the great laughs. During this election it was mainly the liberals who were the supplier of the jokers. They kept coming out with one comedian after another that the other parties could not match. When 'Bonehead' Buzz came onto the federal stage it was almost too much for me...he was aptly supported by such stooges like Blindsiding Belinda and Scottie "how does my make-up look" Brison. Thankfully the election is over & I can resort back to wearing normal underwear instead of Depends undergarments which I had to wear to stop those embarrassing moments when I pissed myself laughing hahahahahaha.
  20. Don't hold your breath getting new FWSAR aircraft just yet folks, the C-130 replacement project has been blessed to procede however the heavy lift helicopetr and the FWSAR program are stagnant and wilting on the vine. Things may become clearer in the muddy waters once the election is over and the winning party changes their mind (or is that looses their mind) about whcih direction they want to lead the military (god help them).
  21. As long as Canada allows BS like a provincial sepratist party be allowed into federal Canadian politics you could be in for a never ending series of minority govenments and instability both economically and from those from outside wondering what the heck is going on there and how fragile your nation really is.
  22. Pretty grim isn't it that this country can get 6 lousy fighters overseas to support our own forces. In 1994 the defence budget was over 10 billion and we were short of cash then. Fast forward and things have gotten worse no matter what the CDS the MND or any other politition says (the CDS is also a politition so take his comments with a grain of salt too) With the additional funds we will be able to maintain the fleets we have however there is no long term replacement plan for major capitol requirements i.e. fighters that are now from the early 80's, FWSAR etc. there is no long term vision. The military is a cash intensive business and if we don't want to play in these missions then sell all the toys and buy sports gear or something useful. In planning these operations it goes from one deserate proposal to another (look at all the new gear the army is getting all of a sudden - were these dificiencies not know, of course they were) and the F-18 deploying was not do-able due to limited airlift capability and we are still waiting on the CC-150 air to air refueller conversions to be finished and fully operational. Gen Hillier is an army general and is limited in his understanding about the air force and how expensive it is. His focus appears to be on the army right now and the airforce and the navy especially will be backseat players...should be fun to watch what direction the military takes once and if the conservatives win the election.
  23. Is there a DORK removal button within the forum. A. why did you move to Canada? B. do you have any idea of what you are talking about C. go to OZ and like the scarecrow get a brain Yikes no wonder this world is nuts. I am so afraid I am sure Harper alone can have us all in lederhosen goosestepping in downtown Ottawa... hahaha this is retarded. I must now releive my bladder from too much laughter.
  24. This was also in today's Ottawa Sun. Incredible but true. Looks like the girly Liberals are pooping in their panties(insert Arnold Schwarzenegger voice). Can you imagine the cahoonah's of the guy. I guess Mike Duffy can at least be counted on for responsible and honest journalism. We owe him a big thank you...
  25. Backfirng on all cylinders Pull-ease these ads are so ridiculous that no sane person would belief any of this. Oops all those that voted in the previous election must have been easily swayed judging by the outcome. Let us hope people are a little more educated about the BS by all parties during election time. I seriously doubt any of the parties (except the Block[heads]) would be elected and royally screw the country into oblivion. I know they are ernest, hardworking individuals (check their work schedules) that firmly believe they have the best interst of the country at heart. I see no dictator in the bunch however I do feel that we are due for a change as governments of any persuasion get stale and stagnent.
