Omar is a terrorist and therefore does not have any rights as a Canadian. He gave those up when he went overseas to kill Canadians and Americans.

Indirect vulgarity is in the eye of the beholder. To a pro-lifer, any talk of abortion is vulgar. While it is very possible, in fact likely, that I have missed a lot of his comments I have read through this entire thread and do not see what you see. His point of view may be offensive to you and others (sometimes me as well), but I challenge you to quote anything he has posted that is outright vulgar by any definition. If the criteria is so lax, then there are a ton of us on the board that fit the description. I find any talk of federal Liberals being honest to be distasteful at least; horrific most often. People who state that Omar Kadhr was an innocent child and should be brought to Canada and set free make my skin crawl. The belief that Kwebek is an equal part of Canada makes me want to puke. Vulgar I say. But that's just me. Put him on "ignore" if you wish, but advising others to do so because of what you think is childish.

So, they defend their arguments with facts instead of real life? You mean stories of "I once knew a guy..."???

And according to your posts, everything is about Muslims. Fixated much?

(As much as this is gonna hurt) I'm going to have to side with lictor on this one. For that group of people on this board that espouse Charter arguments and freedom of speech and equality for all, it seems rather hypocritical for that same group to badmouth and issue warnings to ignore him simply because they disagree with his point of view. (This still hurts) While you may disapprove of his arguments and the content thereof, he posts in a very respectable manner. I have yet to see him resort to vulgarity or personal attacks even though his "opponents" have. I disapprove of a lot of his thoughts, but he is a far more astute poster than you, or me for that matter. Play the ball Remiel.

Now that's really interesting.... Let's recap shall we: Black (race) Arabic (race) Muslim (???? Is Muslim a race now?) Chinese (race) Kinda weird how you threw that one in. I'm also pretty sure that there are a number of (racial) businesses that only hire people of a race acceptable to them.

This should have nothing to do with Canada. He murdered an American in Afghanistan. He should remain in the States or be sent to Afghanistan to stand trial. If only some Marine had put one behind his ear, we wouldn't have to go through all this foolishness. Thanks for making this about Muslims instead of murder.

That and $0.35 will get you a pay phone call.

Also, Canadians are White and Christian. Didn't you know that?

...and Canadians aren't allowed to carry ceremonial daggers in public. ...and Canadian kids aren't allowed to carry ceremonial daggers to school. ...and Canadians aren't allowed to carry ceremonial daggers on airplanes. ...and Canadians aren't allowed to wear any type of headdress in the Legion. ...and Canadians are allowed to celebrate Christmas with concerts & plays in school. ...and Canadians don't think that caning a women for drinking beer is okay. ...never mind. This would take all night.

Should we adopt two-tier health care?
Hydraboss replied to Machjo's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
It starts with money, but it is much, much deeper. Average Joe taxpayer cannot receive the same level of treatment that these individuals/groups do, and considering that most of it is not available to other members of the public (private MRI machines, personal doctors, etc) it is full-on private healthcare. For example, doctors I deal with on a regular basis prescribe treatments to WCB patients that completely skip the queue but are still allowed to work in the public hospitals/system. That's not currently allowed in the "single payer, public system". Jack Layton received treatment at a private clinic, the armed forces have their own parallel healthcare system (which I agree with completely). One thing all of the above parties have in common....they can afford to pay cash for their enhanced medical services. The question is not whether or not Canada should adopt a two tier healthcare system, it's whether or not it should continue to publicly deny that it already has a multi-tier healthcare system. Anyone who tries to argue these facts is simply being hypocritical. -

Agreed. But it goes further than that. In Canada, we not only have private healthcare with regards to different treatment, we also have different levels of healthcare availability depending on who you are. Athletes, politicians, armed forces, WCB. All have access to the same services covered under the "public system", only faster and better. -

Posters have an affinity for posting on how the US has multiple tiers of health care, and yet not one of them want to address the multiple tiers in Canada. Still no responses????? -
Interesting numbers. I agree with you...I would love to see the Libs dip to the 20's and the Dippers rise to the 20's.

Well, according to the "unofficial polls" the nurses at this particular hospital do (when they triage patients), about 70 percent of the people waiting should have gone to a medi-center or a GP. People with emergent situations are taken in as fast as possible, but it's the ones who have an ear infection that always seem to find their way to a news interview after they waited four hours to be told that there's nothing that can be done. The medical system in Canada is broken. We could easily get more doctors and nurses if a public-private system were adopted that would allow them to make enough money to be comparable with the US. -
I'm with Moxie on this one. If the US and Canadian governments don't have the intenstinal fortitude to deal with the little murderer, then it's time to let someone else do it. He wants freedom? Send him back to Afghanistan.

Well, my wife works emerg (when she's not at the Stollery Children's Hospital) and you wait and wait if they are giving you "flourescent light therapy". If you're critical or near-critical, you go in immediately. -

Then you've never been to the University of Alberta Emergency unit. Average is about 4-8 hours. -
Do you ever get tired of people thinking you're a joke?

Your bullshit means absolutely nothing. "Social cooperation" means absolutely nothing. Health care is what you absolutely need when someone you love is sick. If you're indifferent, you don't actually care deeply about the ill person. -

Fairness means nothing when you're holding a very sick 3 year old in emergency. You'd steal your best friend's place in line, given the chance. Fairness, with regards to health care in Canada, means everyone dying in a nice, orderly fashion. Without jumping the queue. -

Bang on. CRSP is recognized throughout Canada. CSP in the States. There's not that much involved in attaining equivalency from CRSP to CSP though (just a couple courses on OSHA and some local regs). My advice: Get both even if you plan on staying in Canada. Immensely valuable to all of the US companies that operate here (in all fields). Get it and lock in a practicum with a reputable company and you're set. -
You're the one who brought up ISO. Another "Mystery Men" post.
