Voter intelligence is being insulted again

In truth? I was pretty drunk when I registered mid-term for that one. Thought it was advanced physics. Freaking shocker there! -

That's all there is to many of the courses. Unless you're living in res, there ain't much more in some of those classes. -

Meh. Didn't really grab my attention. Except Metaphysics 321. Had to have another elective. Weird ass prof gave the strangest assignments. Spend the first 5 weekly labs on a paper to prove the number "2" existed. Did pretty damn well too. Next assignment? The bastard made me write a paper proving that the number "2" didn't exist. Just weird. But fun. -
Damn! You've completely changed my mind! I'm voting NDP! Screw Harper!

Knowledge is never a bad thing. However, if you ignore that which can support you in a career and pursue only that which satisfies the soul (!) you will be the most highly educated guy on welfare. Thus, we have far too many teachers. -

I would love to go back and study astronomy. I also spent a lot of time studying physics which I found amazing. If only those pesky little things like mortgages and children's education would quit getting in the way. -

I should add that I'm not against a university degree. I'm against a university degree in liberal arts that gets you...nothing. Except a sizable student loan. -

Oh, they're not nearly that high up the ladder. They're scrubbing threads on drill pipe and tubing. Think rig scrub brush and a 3'x5' tub of varsol...12 hours a day. It's funny to think that with all that "edu-macation", the best they can do is stand beside a Newfoundland fisherman (who's only out here for the season) and earn his 50-60k. Guess this is what they mean when they say that if everyone gets a degree, that degree is useless. -

I don't know. I hire lots of university educated people and then watch them work side by side with my guys who have grade 6 (usually fishermen from the east). They don't do any better, but they sure complain a lot. Guess they couldn't find "jobs of distinction" that fit their qualifications. Makes me giggle like a school girl everytime I tour the shops. Edit: Those fishermen with the grade 6? They don't ever whine and they do a hell of a job. Wish NF, etc would send more. -
Added and updated.

Actually, I'm not disagreeing. What you said makes sense...just never thought about it that way. What's really nice is that now I can explain my hatred for Liberals with data.

I never thought I would say this, but... it would appear that having the NDP in second place is actually the natural order of things. It does make sense when you look around the world. Either the management controls or the unions do. Back and forth till eternity. It's happening right now in almost every city in Canada. The poor, ridiculed management team who really have never done any harm to anyone. And the pro-union thugs who try to lie and cheat and steal and insult the unfairly demonized members of the management team. It's just so clear. (Punked, in case it's still broken, your sarcasm meter should be bleeping and vibrating by now)

Point made. You're not as dumb as I think you look.

Layton found nude in massage parlour!
Hydraboss replied to Mr.Canada's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I'll say this: I kind of wish this would just go away. It's a real non-issue (other than the obvious aggravation factor for dippers - which is fun). And no doubt, it will. For now. If John actually becomes PM due to a CPC minority, I'll wager this comes back full force. And then it will be the CPC, the Libs and the Bloc doing it in the HoC (with parlimentary privilege of course). John Layton will regret this little "indiscretion" if that's what it was. -

.......and? -
The NDP haven't done well with or without a popular leader. No change in leadership. No change in policy. No change in anything. So that should make eyebrows raise when you consider it. If nothing has changed except the popular vote, then it should be reasonable to assume that the "surge" is not for the NDP but against the other parties involved. This too will die down.

Generally, I just tell them to go back to Toronto. Or Starbucks. -
I was about to make a Belinda Stronach crack, but I think yours is better (and far more true). Nice.

Wrong. It's not a "margin of error", it's a lower limit for alarm. They can dial it to wherever they want. Just an interesting fact. -

Okay. One is orange. The other is either red or green. Don't think I didn't notice that you completely left out a blue fruit. Hmm. Except he didn't. "Let's be clear" (now I'm starting to love that saying), Stockwell Day is and was a complete tool. He never made a bunch of statements that amounted to "my religion will affect my political decisions"...he was just stupid enough to actually answer questions honestly when it came to his religious beliefs. Did I mention he was a tool? -
Maybe it'll open again with a big orange and green circle in the window with a "thumbs up" and a caption that reads "John Approved".

I'm glad this is winding down. That being said, this is the first time since the 2006 election that things have actually been interesting. The ones in between have been extraordinarily boring. Minority. Minority. No doubt...CPC minority. Anyone else notice that the "most users online" has been going up? Nice to see.
