  1. I would like to see them co-operate.
  2. History. When PEI joined Canada in 1870, it had a significant portion of the population, and definitely more than Toronto, and the then non-existant city of Calgary. While the rest of the country grew tremendously in population, PEI did not. Which, while not beneficial to the Island, is not grounds for stripping them of their provincial status. I believe there is a requirement of 100,000 people to have provincial status. If 30,000 Islanders leave, maybe they would be reverted to territorial status? I don't know.
  3. Have a digital camera? Take a picture of them.
  4. Hugo, the Liberals have the largest membership in the country.
  5. It would be cool to see you win your seat though Pell, how is that campaign going?
  6. Harper has been bringing up the merger for months.
  7. I agree completely, and thank you for challenging my posts. I hope I've explained it adequately.
  8. Online polling is generally inaccurate, yes. However actual polls from Ekos, Enivronics, Ipsos-Reid, Compas all show the Alliance on decline at around 10-12% in national polls. Polls have shown that Canadians want public health care. The Alliance has made it their policy to move towards some privatization of our health care system.
  9. I agree it's a poor question of little value.
  10. Canadians just aren't too fond of regional parties.
  11. Your definition of provocative is not the same as everyone elses. You can't tell people what to wear.
  12. The Alliance is unlikely to go anywhere on it's own. They tried to form a national party in 2000, and it was not a success.
  13. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the thread below, Cameron, regarding a PC/Alliance merger proposed by a PC senator.
  14. My only concern would be on the leadership of the new party. The best way to do this would be through a delegated convention with 1000 PCs and 1000 Alliance delegates so that neither party can force their current leader on the new party.
  15. Wow. Welcome aboard Cameron.
  16. Not sure I agree with that analysis Craig
  17. How would our government respond if it did happen?
  18. Hugo, You have raised interesting points.
  19. I doubt Eves would ever get into federal politics.
  20. Eves is a Conservative.
