  1. He'll be remembered for the desperate and dirty politics the Liberal used in this campaign. The serious blunders and unbelievably numerous gaffes that happened in such a short time will be disected in political talk shows and print. Tell-all books will come out revealing more corruptions that went on. I think this intimidation of the press....there's more to it than just what we've seen in the past week.
  2. sorry. Now....where is that ad thingy? Boy, TGIF.
  3. <JINGLE> hands in my pocket hands in my pocket hands in my pocket Oooops. I was misled by the title of this post. I thought this was Attack The Liberal ad.
  4. So the Liberals are claiming to be having the Big Bounce Back. You think that's true? On the CBC news (radio), they were interviewing people....probably around ten to twelve of them....and only one was going for the Liberal. Most were voting Conservatives and a few undecided who will not vote Liberal. Three radio announcers with MDuffy were all claiming Conservative is surging. They're not referring to the polls but actually basing their comments from what they're hearing "from the ground".
  5. Just finished MDuffy Countdown. Apparently, this dumped Liberal guy is said to be a friend of Paul Martin.
  6. Kyoto....hmmmm.... Why, oh why does the UN remind me strongly of the Liberal party?
  7. What is this? "...or risk becoming a pariah on the world stage." I thought you guys are so concerned about earth melting down hence all these excited bleating about Kyoto. Never occurred to me it's all about lofty international posturing! FYI, the CHanber of Commerce Of Canada, in its review of all political platforms, favoured the Conservatives on its stance of "looking beyond Kyoto."
  8. They seem to have mastered the art of bribery. Mind you, what is corruption without bribery? Shows you they've had a lot of practice....or maybe, it had already become second nature? They do it without even realizing it?
  9. As opposed to the loathing I feel for the Liberals, love is a pretty strong word to use when it comes to how I feel towards the Conservative. Let's just say: The Liberals had already proven their dismal worth. 12 years. That's a long time, eh? To tell you frankly, I've come to the conclusion that most things done under the Liberals are more of nice trimmings and packaging...all posturings and window dressings....but terribly lacking in substance. So forgive me if I don't actually buy that Early Childhood Learning sentiment you Liberal thinkers want to believe. In my views, there's nothing wrong with early childhood learning done at homes. Society had flourished...and had produced countless productive upright individuals without this Early Childhood Learning. It may offer some help, I cannot deny that....but it does not have to suddenly be the only means, just because, as usual, the Liberals (and the liberal thinkers alike) had decreed that it is what THEY THINK is good for everyone, and therefore it is. To put it plainly, anything I hear being endorsed by Liberals...I automatically think just plain b*******. You can bet that somewhere down the line ....somebody is making money out of it. Do I sound cynical. You bet. Do I seem skeptical? Damn right. I want them gone.
  10. Yes I don't deny that I hate the Liberals! I hate them for all the corruptions and their way of systematically destroying our system. But when the Liberals had stooped that low with their venom....demonizing and callously smearing my military....all for self-gain...it is more than anger that I feel. I AM LIVID! You bet this is a love fest for those who silently stood back all these years watching helplessly while these Liberals ransacked our country not only financially...but morally! Liberals and NDP say repeatedly that it is the cause of crime that we should look into..... .....yes, let's do that. Let's start looking into the supposedly perfect "role-models" for our youth. No wonder crime is rising. The Liberals and the Liberal supporters are proving that indeed, CRIME DOES PAY!
  11. Don't forget too that Harper was just new the last time and people didn't really know much about him. That's why the people got scared. The media was not on his side. And he'd just became the leader of a newly formed conservative party, with no clear platform at the time. This was the theory given by some pundits...saying that this time it's quite different.
  12. Ahhh. Another variation of the "strong leader" motif expressed as: "even if he was totally wrong he stood up for what he thought." You must really admire that strongest leader of all time - you know, Germany, 1930's, little mustache, bad hair . . . man stood up for what he believed in, even died for it. He fits your definition perfectly as he: "stood up before the others and gave his own personal views . . . knowing the consequences that would possibly arise from his speech" "he was not afraid to say what was in his mind even though he knew it could cost him dearly" "I admire him for saying what he felt he should say. That's how he won me." The more things change, the more they stay the same. And yes, I find in Harper a strong indication of a strong, credible leadership! The current leader we have now have demonized our own military...and yet glorifies the UN!

Are we surprised with all the shenanigans happening around here now...when the ones our leaders are looking up to is an organization dominated by dictators and crooks?
  14. FYI, Harper caught my attention when he alone, stood up before the others and gave his own personal views about Iraq and the USA. He did this knowing the consequences that would possibly arise from his speech. I found in him a strenght in character where others failed for all they did care about was what was popular at the moment. Harper stood for his principles. He may have changed his stance now....but nevertheless, he was not afraid to say what was in his mind even though he knew it could cost him dearly. I may or may not have agreed with him on the issue of Iraq. But one thing sure, I admire him for saying what he felt he should say. That's how he won me.
  15. Just who sits prominently in the UN? Why do we need the approvals of dictators? Why do we give so much importance to this joke of an organization?
  16. By the way, why do we have troops in Afghanistan?
  17. They were having a good laugh over this on Mike Duffy Live today. Apparently one Liberal honcho had apologised and asked, "Who was the idiot who approved this?" Then right on cue this morning, Martin in his campaign had announced, "I approved it." I mean, I wonder if running a skit ala-Farce show is now one of their campaign tactics. Maybe we got it all wrong. We were bracing for a really scary show....when actually their top secret weapon is comedy!
  18. Check out this post I posted last nite. Martin really screwed the pooch letting that bomb drop. Last Night's Post Thanks for the link. Boy, if there is any solid proof needed showing they're not only desperate....but running around like chickens with their heads cut off, this is it. Imagine that.
  19. CPAC Radio phone-in with Dave Rutherford discuss the media's treatment of Harper. A junior reporter challenged Martin after he dodged a question. She came right back at him and demanded for him to answer. This, coming from a junior reporter, is apparently unheard of in this field. It's noted that with Martin....there is an element of "bashing". It's also noted that the media is now endorsing Harper. Toronto Sun and Globe and Mail (especially these two very Liberal-leaning papers) are showing flattering sides of Harper. True, Harper peaked last election...only to fall back again. They say the big difference this time is that, Harper has the support of the media. They say his numbers in the polls is therefore much more solid.
  20. They're talking about that on CPAC radio phone-in, this time by Dave Rutherford. Apparently if Martin takes away the not-withstanding clause, the courts will have the final decision and Parliament will have no other option. But, the courts had already decided that it is unconstitutional for the public not to have private care. So, there goes public healthcare? They're pointing out that he's going against his own policy on healthcare that is written in the red book. Oh boy....
  21. ....was half-empty. They had to scramble to offer free seats just to fill it up. Source: from Mike Duffy CountDown guest journalist who was there! Toronto Rally: they had to email all candidates' campaign supporters urging them to attend to fill up the place. Source: CBC
  22. Yes! They should put out an ad emphasizing the full meaning of that! That should scare the pants off those who think we're in hog heaven with the Liberals.
  23. Honourable?? Since when do honour and politics mix? I definitely agree with you though. Any public official should step aside when they are the subject of a criminal investigation. I can't find fault with that guys... Yes he should. I just forgot how Harper worded it....but since it is illegal for Harper to pull him out of the race at this time....he made it obvious that the guy should offer to step aside voluntarily. I won't be surprised at all if they reason or pressure this guy to step aside.

  25. UPDATE: Harper's Campaign Harper explained that, legally, it is too late now to pull him out of the campaign. But he said if this candidate wins, he will not sit as a Conservative until the matter is resolved. Like all Conservative supporters, I guess we all waited with bated breaths to see how Harper will handle this. Well guys, our lad did it with flying colors!
