  1. That is a silly thing to say. It is no better than saying a man who does not hounour his marriage vows (i.e. cheats) is not fit for office. A politician who cheats on his wife will cheat on you (the taxpayer) without batting an eyelash. Dishonesty is dishonesty no matter what form it takes or who is being betrayed. What about a woman politician committing adultery with another woman's husband? Isn't she a party to cheating too? What someone would call..."morally-bereft individual?" And what if this said woman politician is using the fight for women's rights as a convenient tool? Isn't she only hurting the movement....by trying to cover her own a**? In other words, she's damning the credibility of the movement! For what? Self-interest! For the moment! Just to get to McKay! An EX-LOVER! To smear the Conservative government! Gee...this self-absorption and opportunistic sleaziness is getting out of hand, don't you think so?
  2. Calm down, Gerry. Take a deep breath.....
  3. Maybe you should send a copy of said book to Stronach...so she can stop yapping her pretty little head about an apology over a put-down remark from an obviously still-sore ex-lover...and move on. She should also try to find some nice excuses to justify why she is a walking contradiction to her crusade against sexist attitudes against women. Perhaps a good start would be to demand an apology for Rona Ambrose as well, a female colleague facing what Stronach had described as the cold reality of dealing with men in politics. Then she can apologise to women in general for being a sorry role model that she is, pandering to the sexist attitude of a married man....and she should just admit that, like McKay...she's also only human. Then while we're on a roll here....we should send copies of that book to all Liberals and NDP MPs...so they can stop wasting tax dollars by spending what precious time there is to argue about more important matters: like maybe the genital mutilation of women. Or soldiers committing rape? the global sex trade? Reviewing Immigration policies? Strippers or doctors? Or how to stop corruption in politics? Abuses by Refugee board members...especially political appointees? or what to do about the Senate...especially political appointees? etc..,
  4. Yes. We are fortunate that we do not live in such kind of cultures. Although....for some Muslim women, living in the west may not necessarily mean no longer having to deal with that kind of barbarism. Our liberal society seems to be determined to bend backward and had chosen to ignore the very thing they've been criticizing....that of inequality among women.....happening right in their own backyard. There is some serious reason to suspect that sharia law is indeed here in Canada ....and being practiced. And yet these feminists are crucifying men for sexist jokes and put down remarks....what a load of c***. No wonder women are not being taken seriously when they have something to say. No wonder women are jokingly said to be "petty-minded" airheads. It's because of these blasted confused feminists! And yes I'm angry. Because these airheads are purporting to be speaking for me! So all these incessant battle cry about prejudice against women....here is what I think of it....pfffft.
  5. I've read of genital mutilations. But, some would argue that this is a cultural thing among Islamic-based countries....and that there is nothing barbaric or wrong about it. In fact, we'd be the ones who'd be called meddling conflict-seekers if we try to impose our belief or culture on those from other countries. And some women from that culture have no problems with that. So what do you suggest we should do?
  6. I've had several experiences of sexual harrassment from University to various jobs that I'd held....but I must say that never was I forced to compromise myself nor give in for something in return. Boy, I tell you...it feels so good putting one over those bastards....and knowing that they know they'd been had. So why do I defend men from sweeping male-bashing? Because I've also met a lot of good guys from university to the various jobs that I'd held....guys who'd felt compelled to try and protect me. Some of these men helped me deal with those bastards mentioned above. And they asked for nothing in return. I guess some men have this man-thing that makes them feel that they need to protect or shield a woman. Hey, I find nothing wrong with that. You won't hear me complaining. Some of my treasured friendships were with men. Straight men. Purely platonic. I've met their various girlfriends through the years.
  7. Somewhere in Africa, they sell men too! I remember a Christian movement a few years back trying to buy back the freedom of those enslaved people. These flesh peddlers are criminals of the worst kind! Perhaps Margrace should ask the Liberal appointees in immigration how come female strippers are being allowed pronto in Canada? Isn't that considered degrading and sexist by feminist?
  8. C'mon Margrace...be honest and admit it. Sexist remarks are being made by both males and females. Put down remarks as well. I had a couple who used to come to pick up their kid together. The woman almost, always never fail to make fun of her husband in a derogatory way to us...from how much he earns to his ability around the house. The poor husband just had to grin and bear this "jokes" about him. Needless to say, they are now divorced....the husband left her for her bestfriend. I have nothing against women empowerment at all, however the odd thing about some modern women today who'd embraced "empowerment" is just how insensitive and offensive they'd become. It seems empowerment to them means "now it's my turn to step on you men!" I wonder at times if they do carry big chips on their shoulders. So much anger and virulent animosity emanating....
  9. On Question Period with Jane Taber and Oliver Craig today, apparently Rona Ambrose is demanding an apology from a Liberal MP who'd also called her a name. Helena Guergis is asking how come Belinda Stronach is not speaking for both women (she and Ambrose)...when both had been insulted by male colleagues.
  10. I disagree, it is an important point and one that shouldn't be swept under the carpet. Women and children are still being treated as second class citizens. This is unacceptable behaviour and will not be tolerated! It is not alleged, as there is a tape of what he said, and it is more than juvenile, it is discrimination. The cost of such intolerance and discrimination is going to be every woman in the country voting for The parties of these two women. If you just sweep it under the table with such a down-playing statement you are in the same catagory as the sexist jerk who made these discriminatory comments. Well, if you are equating rape and slavery to that of a juvenile remark....aren't you the one who's down-playing the gravity of rape and slavery? Sorry, but I find rape and slavery quite, quite serious. Something you cannot simply ignore...unlike everyday jerks who'd developed the habit of making "sexist" references as one crude bloke would just as easily spit in public while grabbing his crotch.
  11. Just got this instant message from my friend in Iran. a FEMALE! an EDUCATED female! in IRAN! becoming an ARCHITECT! wimim ar sew stoopid and unedukated eh argus!? Good for her! Planning to migrate to the west, I suppose?
  12. Anyway, talk about hypocrisy. If Belinda is so critical of Mckay....and calling him and the Conservative Party, "sexist".... ...what I want to know is..... What the heck is Belinda doing, letting herself become the mistress of a married man? Why is she pandering to this married guy's sexist attitude towards women? Nice role model she is for women and girls eh?
  13. I do have an answer, and you know what it is. I'm just playing the game you started. Nah. I don't believe you.
  14. Why not? Because this is a forum, not a game board. Oh well, okay...I won't pressure you. So you've got no answer, big deal. I guess there's no surprise there anyway.
  15. I never called you a slug. Never. Don't lie. Is that an "imputed" meaning then?
  16. Refresh my memory please. Who? You can't guess? No. I can't think of anyone...either from the NDP or Conservatives. So whom are you refrring to? And what incident? Search your memory, I'm sure it will come to you. Hah! Just as I thought. You've got no answer. Oh, I know exactly what I'm refering to. I want to give you the opportunity to demonstrate that you have recall capabilities better than a slug. Hello? You've made the claim, not me. I called you on it. Why should I go through a "guessing game" on who you were referring to? And here I was being nice and all.... giving you a second chance to redeem yourself....after you've tripped all over yourself at the other thread. And what do I get in return? Getting called a "slug." Go Fig-ure!
  17. That seems contradictory. If they don't like bullshit, how can they stand to vote Conservative? Hint: 13 years...all kind of shit...with the Liberals?
  18. Refresh my memory please. Who? You can't guess? No. I can't think of anyone...either from the NDP or Conservatives. So whom are you refrring to? And what incident? Search your memory, I'm sure it will come to you. Hah! Just as I thought. You've got no answer.
  19. And yet they bristle and bitch over the use of the word, "Mankind" that encompasses both men and women. I am a woman...and yet I'm lost with these feminists way of thinking. They seem to be fickle to me...all the more perpetuating the stereotype of what women are: fickle-minded bitches.
  20. I edited your statement...and this I very much agree with you. The post modern feminism seem to have this psychological need to emulate men....in order to be like men! WHY do we need to be LIKE MEN? Wearing power suits and all....just so to be taken seriously...or to have power? Why did we need to erase the use of some words like "actress".....and instead insists on being called "actors." Is there something shameful about anything feminine? I greatly admire Condoleeza Rice, who makes no apologies for being black...or a woman. I usually see her dressed like a woman....and yet there is no mistaking it: she's got the power in her own right.
  21. Trudeau made fun of the queen. Publicly. Plastered on papers. Very juvenile in his pirouetting behind her....I could only guess that he must've had a drink too many and was overcomed by his "feminine side." From the pictures I've seen...I must admit he made such a graceful pirouette that would put some budding ballerinas to shame. Oh btw, he seemed to have made fun of women in that sense....directed at the queen....but sexist nevertheless. He was not taking the queen seriously as he would the PM of France? He mocked her before everyone...before all the world. Would he have mocked her if she happened to have been a king? So he thinks that the queen....despite her status...had not really made it to fit in the "men's club?" So it seems this sort of a man is your idol?
  22. Actually, a lot of women throughout history had acted like "real women." These are the wives, and concubines or mothers of rulers. They were not shunned by men....but rather they have made rulers heed to their whims or advices...sometimes to the peril of the ruling king. Marie Antoinette was one of them. Rulers and monarchs, including Prime Ministers....need to unburden themselves at some point. The wife or the mistress is usually a welcoming presence, and some I bet are not shy at offering their own point of views. These women do not actually rule, but they were referred to as the real "power behind the throne". Please, let us not relegate women's status to just that of airheads and bimbos. Womens' wiles are natural weapons of our species....nothing to be ashamed of that. We are not as powerless as a lot of liberal thinkers would want you to believe.
  23. They could not afford not to act like men. They were in a man's world and acted as men. Now, if only we could get these women to act like real women (and not be automatically shunned by men) then we'd be making some headway. As it is, these women acted like men to fit in to the club. Thatcher probably cried her eyes out daily LOL -- but she could NEVER have shown that she had even a gram of femininity because... well duh. I'm talking of women in history....beyond Thatcher. I'm talking of Indira Gandhi, Golda Meir, the Empress Tsu Zsi of China, the Ice Queen of England, Cleopatra, etc., You are right...they could not afford not to think and act like men....but not because they were in a man's world. It was because they've found themselves in challenging circumstances, therefore they had to decide like any ruling monarch should: using sound decisions and judgments. Anti-war sentiments...and touchy-feely-aromatherapy...are usually set aside....when certain circumstances threaten what you hold dear.
  24. Rae is an NDP masquerading as a Liberal.
