Catch, August and Peter, Lose the cable tv. LOL Actually, what are you all on about television?? I hardly watch television! Fyi, television is no big part of my topic. Television is only THE MESSENGER. It is where it's getting the message to relay....THAT IS the issue! And the issue is that LIBERAL MEN HAVE ALLOWED THEMSELVES TO BE EMASCULATED BY THE FEMINIST MOVEMENT! These women had cleverly reversed the gender role. If there is anything proven...it is that you liberal men have been OUTSMARTED. The irony is that the feminist movement is based on the lie that men were responsible for women's SO-CALLED inferior position in society. This of course, is a lie. The evolution of our society was responsible for their position. And women let it happen. As I've said before in a another thread, power was the essential factor, not gender. Men had it, and women were less likely to have the facility or the capability of attaining that power. The feminist movement found a way. Now, women ARE responsible for the complexion of society...because they had created a gender-consciousness that dominates decision-making in our society. You liberal men are not only letting it happen...you are encouraging it to happen. Like bees, you support the queen that would eventually cause your demise.

Excommunication of politicians who support abortion
betsy replied to Renegade's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
betsy, I'm not really sure what you mean by being "wrong on Christ". If an individual doesn't agree with the church's position on a particular issue, such as birth control, abortion, SSM, etc, does that make them believe the church is "wrong on christ"? Almost no one I know who is a member of a church accepts every single one of the church's teachings. Some disagree with church's positions on birth control, the ordination of women, etc. They still consider themselves part of the church and the church accepts them as such. Are you saying that disagreeing with some part of the church's teaching should make you subject to some sanction even excommunication from that church? If that is true, that church is guilty or intollerance far beyond any other institution. We have certain expectations of institutions including churches. For example if a church encouraged racist behaviour would we be as quick to wash our hands and say that "they make the rules"? The Catholic church is supported by the state to the extent that they are a charitable institution and are partially subsidized by taxpayer dollars. To that extent they wish to continue that benefit they should be accountable to societal norms. If the church expects that the state should not dictate the church's rules, than the church should not dictate the state's rules. Our opinion is immaterial. The rules had already been made. By God. The ex-communication is the rule of the Catholic church. The ultimate consequence in the Roman Catholic faith of wilfully disobeying the Word of God. If you don't believe that the Word of God matters....or if it even exists....then go your own way. -
You're right. But it's the symptom of the disease. Not the disease itself. The disease is liberal men willingly accepting this role.

From some slippery serpent perhaps?

Liberal feminists. And other leftwing loonies.

I can think of a lot of commercials that put men in a negative light too. So? Are you going to start worrying about the marketing mind? Besides marketers know what sells. Again, that's another topic!
-
Why don't you take reading lessons with August. If you're both "men" you could hold hands in class. Lol! I can't resist that! Bwa-ha-ha-ha!
-
SO? Maybe you should concentrate more in reading than watching Oprah. Lol. Whether there are enough women in politics is not my topic. There's too many liberal women and liberal men in politics. But that's another story. I'm talking about why liberal men are so willing to be emasculated.

Excommunication of politicians who support abortion

My answer to your previous statement is thus: That depends on the individual....and what he really believes about Christ. If the individual thinks the church is wrong about Christ....then why should he worry at all about being ex-communicated? He has choices to consider. Whether he considers the rule fair or not, or whether he agrees with them or not....makes no difference. If you buck the system, you face the consequence. Should the rules be different if one were a politician? Given the power he wields in opening the gate and giving the go-ahead for slaughter...and with the knowledge that it is against the teachings of his church, I guess, yes. But then, it is the church who makes the rules. Not I. -
This is NOT SURPRISING. I've seen the movie. The teacher must've been explaining the sodomy act as a natural thing! Besides, homosexual sex, by definition is, pornography. No matter how they try to soften it. The school system is part of the brainwashing system! I hope more parents will take action like these parents. We should all give our full support to them! I wonder what happens in Ms Bufford's bedroom? I hope it stays there too.

So should we assume that any politician we elect will either be legislating according to his religious beliefs, or will be a hypocrite? That's for you - as a voter - to decide. That depends on the individual....and what he really believes about Christ. -

It might eliminate those priests who have affairs with women. But it wouldn't do any good for those who are pedophiles....and those who get turned on by 12 year-old altar boys. -
Education Authories Abuse Their Power
betsy replied to Figleaf's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
With all the violence happening in schools these days....and a lot of violence directed at teachers (re: TV show W5 segment)....wouldn't you be concerned if students say "disparaging remarks" about anyone in school? If a student say any disparaging remarks about any students belonging to a different culture....I bet Figleaf will be the first to demand it be dealt with harshly! Anyway, how did they know who the student was who posted? He used his real name? He SHOULD get detention. For stupidity. Lol. The teacher should be fired. And the school should be fined. For having a student like that! Just shows the quality of teaching. Double LOL! -

But what about that teacher who was posting on a message board??? I think he said something about a controversial issue (I can't remember if it was about SSM)....and he had lost his job for that. He was just expressing his own personal views in a public board....not in a school room! We are already in an "authoritarian state"....or really getting there. Except we're just being selective about whom we'd want to enforce our authority on. -

One good way to prevent molestation of children is to do a better screening before accepting anyone into the priesthood. Prevention is the only way to go...and it will be hard, since perverts will try their best to get in, no matter what. I'm all for PROFILING! -

Good! Christians who want to enter politics should think twice about the agenda they'd want to support and push for! If you're going to root for murder, you've shunned the teachings of your belief. So you're excommunicated. What's the problem then??? Obviously your religion is not that important to you anyway. -
From the way things are shaping up now, real fast too....it seems to me what used to be the natural male role is now being decimated. The world would be in a better shape today, they say, if politics were run by women. And a lot of MPs from the Liberals and NDP agree. Two women raising children, they say, is much better than having any of you guys doing your share. I take it some would really prefer that you stay out of the picture when it comes to children....or "family." You are constantly portrayed as an insensitive oaf, your brains practically resides somewhere below your navel. Now it seems, you are also regarded as an hindrance. Those who know it all think that there might still be some hope for you....that maybe, you are not all that stupid after all. Like dogs, you'll just have to go through some obedience training. Is this where you want to be....guys?

Disgruntled Tories consider refounding Reform Party
betsy replied to BC_chick's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I too, am dismayed at how Harper had turned his back on SSM, the Environment...and like you, I want LESS Government. However, having said that....I am a realist I guess. If it's choosing between a Conservative-inclined leader or a looney left that wants control, control, control.....yes, I'd want for Harper to stay in power at all costs. I can see that Harper is left with no choice but to appease...and pander to the demands of left-leaning population. This is the result of 13 years under the Liberal government. A lot of young people today have grown on Liberal ideology. Our Public School System is one big training ground! As a new comer to this country decades ago, an old-timer immigrant teaching a newbie like me had said: " Liberals are our friends. Conservatives are racists." And why is the Liberal Party the "party for immigrants?" Because a lot of us are just simple folks, grateful to be out of corrupt, war-torn, poverty-stricken countries....like babes, easier to manipulate and "educate to certain thinking and idealogies." And how about the lotus-eaters? Give them their clinics and let them be happy. And Canada, being a socialist society....well, even a lot of those professing to be small conservatives...tend to lean more to the left! Harper is fighting a strong current. If ever any of these looney lefties ever get into power now....we'll see the likes of control-binges we've never seen before! You can just imagine the kinds of controls they'll do to meet the target Kyoto at all cost (for starters). The Universal Brainwash Daycare, that will ensure the lefties' hold on power for eternity (Public School system will no longer be good enough). Mould those little minds to liberal ideology....it becomes second-nature. More power to the Gay Rights Movement...and to all other movements under the sun...that had worked hard to bolster up the lefties. Some of the rights we've enjoyed all along will most probably go down the tube! Free speech will be a goner! Freedom of religion will be a goner! Freedom of choice will be a goner! And then, they go into your own home. On the pretext of protecting the children. Protecting your own health. Protecting the environment. We've now got expropriation of certain properties without compensation...in the name of ecology....environment! Depending on what looney left gets into power....we may even end up losing our homes. EQUALITY FOR ALL. If the left gets hold of the government now.....we may never see any Conservative-inclined government ever again. -
If I was this guy's lawyer, I would tell him to be quiet so that the issue could be fought in court. Maybe that's what's happening. Who knows.
-
Then why doesn't he come out now and explain? This will be his big chance to stretch his 15 minutes of fame...and really bring it down on the government's head....if he was the one who's really the victim here. Mike Duffy said no high-profile environmentalists who had helped this man get on tv cameras would want to appear on his show to be interviiewed about this either. Why?
-
Do you have a deal with Mike Duffy to mention him in your posts? I'm just curious because it seems you have done it literally hundreds of times. I was going to ignore this...but just for the record, and to be polite...I'll answer this once. Because I watch MDuffy! And I'm naming my source! Like we're supposed to. Who's counting??? If you don't have any other pertinent statements to add...can you please move aside so the arguments relevant to this thread can go on smoothly?

Justice Department study: gay moms equally-good parents
betsy replied to Catchme's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
There might be a reason why "not enough evidence has been collected." Could it be because they don't really want to touch that? Simply because it could prove to be a land mine. It could explode in their faces and do the agenda more harm than good. Since there are studies out there pointing to the amount of pedophilia among gays. -

So does the MOTIVE behind some "wanted" pregnancies and adoptions. Children are not promotional tools or accessories to use for photo-ops and rallying. Some of these lesbian mothers are thrusted into this arena simply because of failed heterosexual marriages/relationships. How many of these types of lesbian couples have had males involved in the early upbringing of the children (from infancy)...before the heterosexual relationship had disintegrated? How many of these types of lesbian couples STILL HAVE THEIR MALE EXES partially involved (depending on degrees of involvement and custody terms) in the upbringing of children? I would say lesbian mothers who've had and still have male exes involved in the upbringing of the children....SHOULD NOT TAKE SOLE CREDIT FOR IT (whether good or bad). How many of these women who've had failed heterosexual marriages are in confused, desperate, vulnerable states when they've entered into a lesbian relationship? When they've decided to have a pregnancy or adoption? How many women who were admitted lesbians right from the start had actually sat down and planned a pregnancy or adoption - simply for the sole purpose of wanting to become parents? WITHOUT ANY ACTIVE ROLES IN Gay Rights Movements? Without any motivation coming from the Gay Rights activists...especially from high profile activists like Rosie O'Donell? How many of these women had made their decisions to adopt or have "wanted" pregnancies....simply because they bought into the promoted idea? That it's "cool"...."hip"...and so very "now?" So many questions. -
I believe they did. Men behind bars don't have news conferences. What the Liberals were trying exploit was that "handcuffing him was excessive." Nobody had come out to say he did not commit any crime.
