Mike Duffy fooled me! All that time he was host I found him at times neutral....and sometimes more Liberal-friendly! I remember mouthing off here against him on several occasions. Boy, was it ever a surprise for me when he became Senator. I guess as a host he tried to keep his own partisanship in check, as responsible/ethical journalists ought to do!

Jack is a nice guy....someone you'd want to have a beer with....but not to trust with finances. He represents socialism. By nature, anti-corporation. Even if he does intend to soften his socialist view.....if he becomes PM he'll scare off business investors just because of the Party he represents. Bad for our economy. Bad for you and me. Bad for Canada. He'll make a good official opposition, though.

Whether he's gay or not is not the issue. The issue is: is he good at his job? And I think, yes he's darn good! Do you have anything against gays? You seem to be mocking or ridiculing them when you mention making a video!

I've seen him on Question Period with the NDP guy Dewar. Mr Baird was kind enough to say that he likes Dewar.....a positive gesture I've yet to see from the Liberals. You could see that Dewar also has respect for Baird even though they're on opposing sides.

I like John Baird. He really explains the details, and also honest to point out what the Party can try to do but can't promise.

I'd also like to add Goldhawk from CPAC and David Aiken (I don't see this guy anymore on tv) as unbiased.

Joel Belevance (? did I spell that right?) from La Presse comes to mind. He tries to be fair when giving his opinion. He doesn't get pushed by the host. The guy from CPAC (I don't know his name or the name of his political talkshow) - not Goldhawk , the other one. Antonia Maioni (I don't know what newspaper she represents) also is objective in her opinion. Ibbitson comes across as unbiased too....he tries. He got on the "hot seat" at Question Period after he wrote about that press gallery hating Harper. Craig Oliver brought it up and sort of challenged him. Ibbitson said he still stands by his article....although you could say he was trying very hard to be diplomatic with Oliver. Oliver seems to wield some clout. I'm sure there are a lot more who practice real journalism...but they're not popular like the press gallery

That's not what Nanos at CTV is reporting. Harper still leads at 38.8%, Liberals at 25.5% and NDP at 23.9%. That's what the Jacqueline Mizarek showed, but - and this is where it gets confusing - she is saying that NDP is FIRMLY on second place. So did they make a mistake with that board that they showed? Furthermore, the streamline news at the bottom says Haper is enjoying a DOZEN points lead! As for leadership, she's saying that Harper still leads, and that Jack had passed and is moving farther ahead of Ignatieff!

I don't do chat - never did. I've done caps in some threads. It's easy to forget that caps mean shouting....and all I wanted was to emphasize my point or statement. So now I tend to enlarge the font...hope that doesn't mean cursing.

So, by your own definition....anyone leading a majority government is a dictator. Heck, how many years have we been under Liberal majority? How many years under a dictator Liberal PM?
