  1. What came to mind when you saw the Kathy Griffin photo with the severed Trump head?

    It is a threat!

I thought.......that was a message to Islamist jihadist to go after Trump!

Lol. I can't even come up with a clever response to that.

"And suddenly, there she was. Kathy Griffin. Like a snail crawling along a razor-blade...talking about gardenias and the Ohio River Valley."

  2. EHHHH? I said no such thing! You're putting words in my mouth. Cite the post where I said that. How is it inconsistent with the New Testament when it's been prophesied.....and the prophecy came true!
  3. My quote, which you take out of context. You picked and choose, and neglected to post all the other explanations that came with it. You've got to know the New Testament, so you'll understand which laws still stand. Jesus summed it up: Love of God, and love of neighbors. Matthew 22:36-40 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
  4. I didn't say they're inconsistent with the New Testament. The Old Testament is filled with prophecies about the coming Messiah, and the changes that would come from it. That some of the Mosaic Law - like killing an animal for worship, as an example - no longer applies because of the Messiah. Go back and read the explanations again.
  5. hahahaha Kathy Griffin's trying to raise the woman card!   baloney!

Moronic comedian!  If you don't anticipate any backlash in this day and age....boy, I don't know what kind of materials you spew out in your comedy.

You and your attorney are a disgrace to women!

Their reasoning is so twisted.  You speak of your right to express.......family of Trump are not allowed to express their disgust?   Are you both for real?

Boooo-hoooo-hoooo  She's milking this for publicity!

  6. Matthew 5 17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. https://www.gotquestions.org/abolish-fulfill-law.html
  7. So, you hardly know anything about the New Testament at all? Otherwise, why would you even think that the 10 Commandments are obsolete?
  8. You have to consider what other statements I'd made. Don't edit my post, and disregard the rest like as if nothing was explained..
  9. I can't say for sure that He might. I'm speculating that if He ever did.....there would be a good reason for it. We've seen it in movies. If your son is going to be horribly tortured and killed, wouldn't you opt to save the last bullet for him? Would you say mercy killing is good in his case? No. Not evil. Because, unlike Him.....you don't know everything! You don't know the future. You don't know what he knows. His thoughts and His ways are not the same as ours. We cannot fully comprehend, we don't have the capacity to.
  10. You're going circular. We've discussed that already.
  11. Are you referring to the Old Testament? The Mosaic law? Under judges, and under kings? Those groups were considered to have committed grievous offenses against God. You cannot incorporate your political correctness with the customs and traditions of ancient times - judging them on the basis of political correctness. You can compare that with criminals in our society who are meted with punishments for their crimes. Every society have their own ways of dealing with criminals for specific crimes. You have to understand that those ancient punishments are not the same with God's designs for Christians under the apostles in the New Testament. http://www.desiringgod.org/interviews/doesn-t-the-bible-tell-christians-to-put-homosexuals-to-death The Old Testament is basically explaining the history of Christianity - most of the prophecies in the OT points to the Messiah and the changes that would come because of the Messiah. The New Testament is about the fulfillment of those prophecies in Jesus Christ.
  12. But God will not command us to kill innocent children, unless He has good reasons to. Furthermore, if ever you get a missive, how do you know it's really God who's telling you to kill innocent children? For all you know, it's Satan....or you're crazy. It's not like we're living in the times of the Old Testament, when God was establishing to His chosen people that he is God. We have a new cnvenant with God in the New Testament. God will not direct us to do something evil. That is your view - from a very limited human perspective. Unlike Him, we don't know everything.
  13. I respect your opinion.
  14. But you're not a god. You're not THE God. We can't fathom how He thinks, nor His ways. We don't have that capacity. We don't know. God doesn't have to explain everything to us. He doesn't have to consult with us. Whether we agree or not, it's not as if it's a referendum. We can think of, and say whatever till we're blue in the face. He doesn't need our approval. He can do anything - including wiping us out. That's the prerogative of being the Creator! You don't know the details what's between God and animals! But we do know that God has also made a covenant with them. If you expect that, then you don't understand too, the concept of an omnipotent God.
  15. I'm not claiming the Bible is a scientific Book. I'm claiming that modern science had reaffirmed some of the statements in the Bible! Big difference, DOP.
  16. Of course, when an atheist is forced to agree that people who commit crimes should be punished - that's a way to sidestep being qualified by justice and punishment. So the atheist argument brings up innocence..... When that killing of innocent is brought up, the atheist is saying that modern-atheism would never approve of that, therefore, the atheist's morality is superior to the morality of the Biblical God. However, we know that modern-day atheism has no qualms about killing innocent children. Just look how they regard the embryo, or fetuses. A very significant difference from the Biblical and the Atheistic position, is what's at stake with the loss of a physical life. To an atheist, this is the one and only life to live. This physical existence is the sum total of an organism's existence. In other words, atheists who advocate for the killing of unborn children sets themselves up as the supreme, sovereign tribunal that has the right to take away the unborn's entire existence - a life, which atheists believe to be everything a human has.
  17. You're saying God cannot be moral because He killed innocent children. That's the standard response from atheists.....which is quite an extreme irony. Without God, where would objective morality come from? Naturalists? Charles Darwin understood well the consequences for naturalistic evolution: no life after death exists. no ultimate foundations for ethics exists. no ultimate meaning in life exists. If there is no God, and we're simply a product of naturalistic evolution - then, only our instincts and impulses dictate to us! If it's all about impulses and instincts, and there's no objective moral standard.....then, any attempt to accuse someone of "immoral" behaviour is nothing more than not liking what that person does - depending on our individual, subjective, human whims.
  18. So many people suffer from depression. I did - but not the kind of depression that required professional help or medication. It's just the feeling of simply existing, yet not living. Plodding on everyday....with a heavy burden. Tiresome. The world we live in, is ugly. Just look around you. Read the papers.. Despite so many "feel good" alternatives, and yet, so many people feel unfulfilled. So many keep seeking for that which satisfies. But the satisfaction so superficial and so shallow....so they seek some more. So many see their life going to waste, because they couldn't keep up with this world. It's like being in a carnival and seeing all the bright lights and all the goodies. They couldn't have what they want. They stare at a life that has no meaning. So many even decide there's no point in living. I think what is real, is what truly transforms, and provides relief, and hope. It gives strength, and courage. It enables. Something that satisfies that inner core. The burden is lifted. It's something you can actually feel. Depends on how we see things. How many among the rich and famous, the ones whom we try to emulate....are on depression pills? In rehabs? In therapy? In counselling? Sometimes, what we think is real......... is simply a mirage.
  19. You know, I was like you way back. I tried to read the Bible and I don't think I even got past Genesis that I gave up. But later in life, when I started having this "hunger" within me, I was surfing the channels and happened to tune in on Charles Price (Living Truth) on tv. It seemed like he was talking to me. He would read a passage from the Bible, and then explained it in layman's terms. It's like a light bulb suddenly getting turned on. He made the Bible seem so easy to read and understand. I went for the Bible and checked out what he was reading - and yes! I could see it! That was the beginning - there was no turning back for me. I started reading the Bible everyday! A paragraph or a chapter each day. I also use a Bible Study Bible, and I've been doing this for years now. Seek and you shall find, promised Jesus. I think, if we have the sincerity in our desire to seek Him , God will guide us to Him.
  20. ????? I don't understand what you're saying.
  21. The Bible isn't meant to satisfy science.
  22. The age of the earth shouldn't matter. It's a non-issue. The day could be literally a 24-hour earth day, or equivalent to thousands of years (God's day). The age of the earth is not the subject in Genesis. The message is that the Abrahamic God created everything. I've already responded to your metallicity. Furthermore....you aren't grasping the concept of an omnipotent God. Nothing is impossible to Him!
  23. It's starting, folks. The lib media is trying to define Scheer. One of the news channel (I think it's CTV) was asking Rempel if Scheer's going to open up the social conservative issues - and good for Rempel who replied that that's the story the media is trying to latch on despite the fact that Scheer made it clear he won't be openning up those issues.
  24. Thanks again.
  25. James, there are things in the Bible that are interpreted differently. As an example - the days of creation. Some take the days literally as in human days, whereas others don't. Varying viewpoints - but at the end of the day, does the age of the earth really matters? No. God's message is not for us to believe that the earth is this, or that old - God's message is for us to believe that, He is the Creator.
