Thanks for the links ft.niagara, and Drea, if you are serious about the Niburu thing, did you know that you can buy your own solar telescope for less than a grand? Why don't you buy one and take some pics of Planet X for us? Why don't the authors of those websites? There are MANY of those solar telescopes in use among amateur astronomers all over the world, along with filters you can buy for a regular scope. Niburu is not due for quite a while yet... Not in our lifetimes I'm sorry to say. Thanks for the links ft. niagra.

You've screwed with everyone long enough Poly. How about going away so that regular folks can have an intelligent debate on 911 instead of your pathetic rantings that have muddied everything. Pffffffft.
-
Stignasty... check out the link in my above post. It is true. RFID chips are being implemented in hospitals in Florida. Poly -- everything you type is going to be considered nutbar. Because you've muddied (and made sound totally crazy with your fanatical ranting) every non-mainstream idea (read conspiracy theory) from 911 to Marilyn Monroe's death. Now, regular folks can't even have a conversation about it or debate it intelligently.. Thanks a freakin' bunch. There ARE real "conspiracies" happening out there folks -- and verichip is no longer simply a conspiracy.

The trouble is... 1. If you don't believe in the creation story -- you MUST believe the evolution theory. 2. If you don't believe in the evolution theory -- you MUST believe the creation story. Not true. There are more than two sides to this debate. The creatures on earth evolved here. "Life" was seeded (accidentally) by the planet Niburu when it hit earth (hence the big hole in the pacific ocean and the asteroid belt..) eons ago. Everything evolved.... chimps, homo erectus, bears, birds, etc... and humans would have taken another few million years to evolve but for the interference by the people of Niburu. This is the third (and most plausible) theory IMO. Darwinists --> explain to me why humans have no body hair. Explain why our teeth and claws are so useless (compared to other mammals). Explain how our inefficient bodies would evolve if evolution is the "survival of the fittest" -- we are certainly not the fittest! And don't say "big brains" because Neaderthal (sp) had a bigger brain... yet died out. Creationists ---> explain to me where Cain and Abel's wives came from. Where did the giants (Neflim) come from? Explain to me the races -- how could 2 people produce the black, asian and caucasian groups.

It seems RFID chips are already in use... How long before the rest of us are forced to get one "for our own good"? Verichip in use in 500 US Hospitals geoffrey, A person has to be implanted... and the store has to have the scanning device... So if I see a store with sign that reads "Vericihp used here", it will make no difference to me as I am non-chipped. So the customer's choice is in whether or not he will accept being chipped.

While MICRO evolution is occuring every day around us (the moth example) -- MACRO evolution (one species morphing into another) does not and is therefore extremely difficult to prove or measure scientifically. But if you think about it -- MACRO evolution is not really changing into a different species -- it's change within a species. For example -- how can a chiuahua and a Newfoundlander be related? I don't believe in an omnipotent guy in the sky - but I do believe the Old Testament is a history (nonfiction) book (written from ancient Sumerian and older texts). So yes, there was a "garden" and the first "Adamas" (humans) did work it. We WERE created, but not by your version of an invisible all-powerful dude. We were created by the Annunaki (the Neflim -- the sons of "gods" that came down to earth) to work for them. BTW, the word "worship" originally meant "work for". The sons of gods were not "angels" in the sense that we think of them today -- they were simply people. Yes, the Annunaki are simply people with technology, not all powerful, not omnipotent, they are just like us. The Annunaki needed a worker, so they took the primative human-like creatures and added their DNA. Voila! Human beings. So yes, the old Testament, using the language of the day, tries to accurately explain the origins of humanity. Check out this website -- it was one of the first ones I ever came across -- The Forbidden Knowledge Or try this one -- Sumerian Culture and another one --Planet X ... don't expect to look out your window and see Niburu heading our way -- it's not due for at least a couple hundred years. and this one which has tons of different topics -- World Mysteries There is no life after death -- "from dust you came, to dust you will return. " And Adel, if you like I can explain, point by point, everything in Genesis.... ;-) Ready when you are!

Of course! My favourite song was about the Unicorns... and Puff the Magic Dragon. Happy St. Patty's Day everyone!

We pay while Indians live in luxury

If you want equality get off the reserve, get a job, pay taxes. THAT is equality. No one ever gave me anything. I come from "white trash" household and have managed to rise above it and become successful in business -- why can't you? -
jbg, if its about nuclear weapons why are *we* not on North Korea like white on rice -- or Pakistan... These countries do have nukes and their leaders are nuts enough to use them. N. Korea doesn't have anything that we want, nor does Pakistan. You've swallowed the propaganda hook line and sinker! Iran has the capability of uniting muslims in the middle east and *we* can't have that now can we?

On some other global climate thread someone mentioned the pollution in (and above) Mexico City. One cannot dismiss the fact that this pollution (added to the thousands of other cities across the earth) does not have an impact. The atmosphere is not a purifier that strains out all of our man-made pollutants. I am not saying that the earth is going to shrivel up in the next 10 years -- I am saying that you cannot deny that humans are impacting the atmosphere. Yes, the global climate is changing naturally, but it is also being heavily impacted by us. The atmosphere is finite. It does not go on forever and ever and is not able to absorb pollution infinitely.

Just as they had no legal standing to attack Iraq.

Iran could easily become the muslim powerhouse of the region. The "last" muslim stronghold in an increasingly "western friendly" (read western installed govt's) area. The US and its allies cannot afford for this to happen. What if all the middle east countries got together and refused to sell oil to the states for instance? We cannot take that chance as we are much to dependent on middle east oil. It's not about nuclear weapons at all. If nuclear weapons were indeed the focus, Iran would hardly be a blip on the radar screen in comparison to North Korea or Pakistan (who both have confirmed nukes, btw).

Black Dog -- I always respect your opinion. This, in a nutshell, is what I have been told about Afghanistan: The Russians were there fighting for 10 years against both the Taliban and the government of the day. The Taliban was fighting the goverment of the day and Russia. The governemt of the day was fighting the taliban and the Russians. It was a three-way fight. Then Russia pulled out and the Taliban took over. Taking away women's rights, slaughtering people, etc. Now *we are there fighting against the Taliban, but on the side of the gov't, unlike the Russians who simply wanted to take over the country. Is there something in it for us*? Of course. A more secure middle east means a more secure oil supply. *us and we refer to NATO allies

My child cannot access porn without my consent. My child can and is encouraged to play video games such as Grand Theft Auto and the like. I would rather he sees two people having sex than two people killing one another. Porn (not that I like it) does not spell the downfall of society. Corrupt leadership spells the downfall of a society.

BUt, I seriously doubt, if this.. is true. Because if if it is, that 13 year old boy has some serious problems Excuse me little peanut... but my son is wiser and more disciplined than YOU are and he is only 13. He has more self discipline, more self respect, more autonomy and more of a future than you could ever dream of having.

Seriously Jenny, get a grip on reality. Canadian forces does not recruit suicide bombers. We do not recruit people on the basis that if they kill someone they will go to heaven and sit at the right hand of god. A recruiting ad is not a terrorist recruiting camp. I hope you are never flooded nor a hurricane or tornado ever hit your house 'cause the Canadian forces (that you so vilify) will be there. Will you spout your hatred at them then? When they are airlifting you off the roof of your flooded house? Pffffffffft.
-
Andrew, do you know anyone who has been/is in the military -- 20 something person? You can spot them right off. They walk with an air of confidence of knowledge and understanding. Not in the mess of gunfire in Iraq --- but there, walking down the sidewalk right beside the baggypants gangsta wannabe with the guntotin' swagger. Which one of those twenty somethings is going to make something of his life? Which one is going to get killed first? How many young twenty somethings have been killed in Canada in 2006? How many young twenty somethings have been killed in the military in 2006? (A bad year admittedly) Seems it's more dangerous to walk the streets here at home... sad really.
-
Blame the politicians, not the army. And yes, there will be times (I don't like it any more than you do) that we have to "go in" (at least partially) with our ally -- yes, even when we think they are wrong. Do I think our Canadian troops should be in Iraq? No. Do I think we should be in Afghanistan? Absolutely.

Cadets is an organization that teaches youngsters (ages 12 to 18) discipline and self control. It teaches them to use their minds to think before they act. Cadets honour and respect those who are in or have been in the armed forces. They also learn how to respect adults and authority. Two things which are sadly lacking with the youth today -- much more so than any other recent generation. IMO, All teens should have to spend two years in the military. From age 15 to 17. To learn that they are not the centre of the universe.
-
But that is not the Canadian Army's main purpose. The Army has many purposes. Fighting for/with our allies abroad is just one. As for kid I meant a teen.
-
Turn off the TV. Or help them to understand. Children will more than likely adopt a parent's view regrading the military, etc. (Even if you don't think so when they are teens . Our Canadian military (or the ad) is not all about fighting unjust wars in countries far away. As in the ad, the forces are also responsible for crisis here at home. Helping people in war torn countries (like Afghanistan -- not Iraq) rebuild, etc. It's not about killing. It's about giving of yourself.
-
True enough Andrew. The goal of the ad is to garner interest in joining the forces. The ad does that. We are discussing it now which means it is a successful ad. A kid walking down the mall, sees the recruiters booth and, because he's seen the ad, is more likely to stop than a kid who had never seen the ad.
-
They are damn good ads. ... from a person in the advertising business... with a 13 year old son in air cadets who runs to the TV every time he sees it come on... If he decides to join the Canadian Forces I will be 100% behind him and 100% proud.... Our soldiers do the dirty work while folks sit on their computers and judge them. Shame on you folks.

Different newspapers do things differently I suppose -- at our paper, we don't sell it by the line but by the column inch (cm). And I just asked our classifed rep... we do not check the legitimacy of an obit. So feasibly one COULD put in a fake one...

I concede -- you are absolutely correct -- Men should never have any input (read responsibility or lack thereof) in decisions regarding contraception, pregnancy and abortion. I guess in your view men are simply mindless sperm donors who cannot (or will not) control their urges long enough to put on a condom... too bad most men are really good, responsible folks! And I never knew you had such a hate on for men.... quite suprising really.
