  1. Actually he set out to exterminate everyone who was not of the pefect aryan race, not just jews. But I agree that using "the devil made him do it" takes the onus right off his shoulders. He is then not responsible as he didn't do it, the devil did. On the same token if "the devil made him do it" then it must have been "god's will". As god didn't step in to save anyone, even his so-called "chosen" people -- this is historical proof of the invisible entity's non-existence....
  2. Betsy, throughout the entire 7 page thread, you never once clarified or gave an example of what you mean. Give us one example of one man who has been ruined by women. One. Not someone in the news, someone you know. Heck, you could even make it up.
  3. Actually it is our own fault for not looking at selling our resources in a more varied market (to more customers/countries). As it is we live beside the economic powerhouse (USians are a culture of consumers which is a good thing) of the world so we've had it easy, just truck the stuff across the border and voila! money coming in. We are not the only country, however, that is dependent on the US to be our customer. Many countries will suffer when the US can no longer afford to buy -- we'll just suffer the most...
  4. Of course, the men in your life would only humour you hon -- You've already admitted that because of your gender you are worth less and therefore are treated as such. Of course the men in your life know exactly what to say to you -- "where's my socks? When's dinner". No need to worry your pretty little fragile female psyche with anything more profound -- you might just get "hysterical" if called on for your opinion on more important matters.
  5. Hmmm.... notice that you didn't refute that the terror attacks were staged... You wakin' up from your long sleep?
  6. I actually thought it was a tad harsh and was going to say so, but you keep bringing it up so I'll stand by the statement that religious fanatics who preach hatred should have their tongues removed and their hands mutilated. Happy now? LOL
  7. You are soooo hoping for this to happen to Canadians. Don't worry your government will make sure there is another staged attack before the next election. Gotta keep up the rhetoric, gotta keep up the "fear". No need to drag us into it though -- leave us alone -- we have nothing to do with your so-called "war on terrorists-that-do-not-exist".
  8. Cybercoma -- excellent post! Have you never read the bible? It states that the Neflim lived with mankind before the flood. read my post again -- it does not say I believe in aliens, only that the possibility of another planet being inhabited is much more plausible than an invisible entity. Or do you swallow the pap that our little blue orb was created as the ONLY live thing in the universe? Tthose lights you see in the sky are actually small and are actually hanging on fishing line from our dome put there by the invisible entity. They are not really suns with planets orbiting... nosireee! LOL I do not simply believe -- I think, I analyze, I question. Tough noogies if you don't like it -- if it is affront to your antiquated, barbaric beliefs.
  9. Ok Betsy... really tryin' hard to understand your message here... so you are saying 1. Historically women have never had any power and only few men ever get any "big" power. 2. It is the fault of women that they do not attain power. No one told them they couldn't have it, they didn't want it. 3. If men and women think one another should have equal power then they have "liberal" minds and are therefore flawed. I spoke to both my hubby and my bro about this (after all as a little woman I don't know anything so I consulted them --aren't I a good girl? ) Both of them believe men and women are equal but different (ooOoOOoo) and they are glad of it. Wink wink nudge nudge. Both of them agree that men don't know where they stand today. They don't know whether to say "ma'am" or "miss". (Not much of a dilema tho as it doesn't cause them too much stress day to day) They both believe in equal pay for equal work. They both believe that small physical stature can be a detriment in some jobs making those jobs less attractive to most women and as a result few women are able to do them well (because of their stature not their gender). Prison guards, firefighters, wrestlers all were part of the conversation. They both believe that in a few more generations we will treat one another as equals across the board in all manners of life from raising children to earning the paycheque. Both believe that there will be more women CEOs, etc. My brother's boss is a woman and he thinks she's just the best. She is fair and always asks for the opinions of everyone on staff. We should celebrate and appreciate our differences. I know my hubby and bro still like looking at an attractive woman and I still like looking at an attractive man. This does not mean they want to "lord" over pretty girls, nor does it mean I want to be "ruled" by a goodlooking man. Men and women are partners and should treat one another as such. One should never have more power than the other.
  10. Not necessarily so.....see the 1992 US presidential election wherein Bill Clinton prevailed with only 43% of the vote against two other major contenders. 100% minus 43% = 57% divided by 2 other parties = 28.5% each. looks like 43% is enough for a "prevailation" LOL 100% divided by 3 parties = 33.33333% each. 43% remains the winner! LOL -- by the way what is the name of the "third" party in the US?
  11. So agreeing with a man makes me inferior in your mind Besty? NO WONDER you feel worthless you poor thing! You've been agreeing with he-man men all along! (/sarcasm) Just because Black Dog is a man does not mean he is wrong. Neither myself nor Black Dog think women are inferior. I don't know how you could glean that out of this thread... What would I possibly be scared of? That's just silly. Throughout history -- indeed up to a few generations ago -- women were NOT ALLOWED to vote or participate in decision making outside of their role as wives and mothers (and then their "power" was very limited). Of course a few (Catherine the Great for example) had power, but the majority did not. I know you consider yourself unequal. But that is not my problem. I consider myself equal in all regards. It has only been 2 or 3 generations since women began attaining autonomy. In 2 or 3 more generations we will wonder at the attitude of our ancestors and why they kept women "in the dark" for so long. Cheer up Betsy -- and don't let anyone tell you that you are worth less because you are female.
  12. It's not a "religion" Can you not fathom someone who does not believe in a "god" of any kind? It's not a choice of this god or that god or this cult or that cult. It's no god. No religion. No worship. Nada. Zip. Nuthin'. No one is forcing you to do anything -- you are still free to go to your chosen church to worship the invisible entity. Just leave it out of the public sphere and we'll all get along just fine.
  13. Just went and looked up "Unitarian" on Wikipedia. It's a cop out. Ass covering -- just in case there IS a god -- "we'll question it -- sort of". Pfft.
  14. Black Dog -- it's brainwashing. She has obviously been brainwashed into believing she (and all other women) don't have the wherewithall to think for themselves and/or be in power positions. She won't agree with this -- but it's clear that she believes women are inferior to men. We are equal but different. Women will always "primp" in order to look good for men. Men will always feel "protective" of women. These traits are natural. No one is trying to change nature, just the unnaturalness of the imbalance of power that has existed for centuries.
  15. What part of: "We theorized alot about life -- the origins of it, the end of it, if anything happens after it" do you not understand. Questioning does not equal belief -- quite the opposite in fact. There is a possiblity that aliens were on earth in ancient times. Where did the Neflim come from? Like I said before there is a much higher probability that life exists elsewhere in the universe than there is of an invisible entity... of course you never know what kind of lifeforce lives out there, could be invisible. LOL
  16. Thank you. She taught me to analyze. To think for myself. We were JWs when I was a toddler -- she quit the "church" because she questioned the bible and they didn't like her questions. We theorized alot about life -- the origins of it, the end of it, if anything happens after it. She was an awesome thinker.
  17. Acceptance of what? Resignation of what? Appeasement to what? I am not understanding what you are getting at Betsy. Men today are not emmasculated. I agree that our divorce courts are unfair, but all in all I don't see men getting a bum rap. Liberal or not. Please be specific -- I really mean I don't know what you are getting at.
  18. Didnt say I believed it -- said it was my mother's theory and that it is more plausible than.... Do you believe that the Nefilim did exist?
  19. Back to the topic! Nothing to do with Iraq. Everything to do with the odd notion that someone invisible is watching us and judging us (creeeepy innit?!) This CENTRIST poster figures this vile man should have never had airwaves to spout his garbage. If not for dupeable folks he would have been in his basement talking to himself. LOL
  20. I did read it. Has nothing to do with gender roles at all. Has everything to do with a biased court system and those who would see it continue on that path (rather than look at it from an "equality" point of view.) Until men have equal rights in divorce and custody cases, we won't have true gender equality.
  21. You believe that a god is coming to fix everything? or do you believe what my mother believed -- that Armageddon is not the end of the world but "a change in the system of things"? She believed aliens (human aliens -- the Neflim) would return and set us all straight. Her theory is more plausible than an invisble entity finally showing itself.
  22. Ah yes, now I understand where you are coming from Betsy. It's not gender roles you have an issue with -- its our courts and their treatment of men as husbands and fathers... I too agree that divorce and custody laws are biased toward women. Someone in my own family is struggling with this right now and it ain't pretty. The courts ARE biased toward women -- but what can people (regular people like you and me) do? I am willing to stand up in court for my brother but what good will it do? I biased already as he is my kin -- so the judge is unlikely to take my opinion as fact. His ex-bitch accused him of child abuse and now has custody of the child. Never mind that he didn't do it, never mind that her two older children were taken away (not his kids) because she abused them...never mind that she dated (RCMP are aware of this I saw the transcripts) a convicted pedophile and even left the child with him while she worked! Sheesh and I wasn't even gonna spill it when I first started this post...
  23. No, they have not always had that choice -- men who wanted to be nurturers were considered "girlish" or "feminine". Today a man can be nurturing if he so desires and will not be labelled by his peers as a "girly-man". Of course taking the option THAT YOU WANT is good. If you want to stay at home and raise children (man or woman) great! The key word is "want". Men and women WERE pigeonholed into specific gender roles with specific duties for each. Today we (men AND women) have choices. Radical gay men hate women -- so what. Radical gay women hate men -- so what. There are always radicals. Somewhere some man is saying that women should be barefoot and pregnant. Somewhere some woman is saying that we should just use men as sperm donors. These people do not represent the majority at all. I am not sure, Betsy, what "role" men are being "pushed into" by radical feminists? Are they being forced to take on "feminine" work? Like doing the dishes? Laundry? Caring for children? Hugging a friend when they're down? Listening? All these "chores" are part of being a human being. My son is learning to do his own laundry and does the dishes every night after dinner. Am I "feminizing" him? No, I am teaching him how to just plain live. Yes, there are nutbar feminazis out there, but like I said before, they certainly do not represent the majority of us man-lovin' women.
  24. The whole problem is that people cannot discuss Isreal (or America for that matter) in a calm and sensible manner. If someone says "Isreal should not be doing such and such" the Isreal supporter says "Anti-Semite!" If someone says "I don't agree with what America is doing" the American supporter says "Terrorist sympathizer! Freedom Hater!" pfft.
  25. Isn't it great that men can now take on the roll of nuturer if they so choose? Isn't it great that women can now take on the roll of provider is they so choose? Isn't it great to have options instead of being pigeonholed into a "role" one is not comfortable with?
