  1. Oleg, you sound like a little old lady from my youth... she said about a young woman who got pregnant back then "If she didn't want a baby, why did she have sex?" Oh gee, I wonder why. Could it be that sex is fun and pleasureable? Nah! Women hate sex, we just lay there hating it all the while obviously. Animals have sex only to procreate, they do not do it for pleasure ('cept the Bonobo (sp) monkey)... so no, we are not dumb animals... we are human beings with desires beyond procreating. Oleg, women are not weak little victims who need to be protected. We are human beings in our own right, we own our mistakes and do not expect the world to come to our rescue (or we shouldn't). We don't need people telling us that we are helpless little creatures who can't take care of ourselves. I know it makes you feel good to feel like you are a saviour, but by "saving" women from their mistakes, you perpetuate the notion of women as victims in our society with no say as to the consequences of their actions.
  2. Uh, we don't think of our politicians as "saviours" No one ever thought Dion was anything but a skinny pale emotional whiner who could not, no matter how hard he tried, get his point across in English. So where the hell do you get off telling us we thought he was a "saviour". Don't you have a job Mr. Canada? Seems you post day and night, seven days a week. And it's Sunday, shouldn't you be in church or at a bake sale or sumpthin?
  3. Canwest is owned by the Aspers. Izzy recently died and his son has now taken the helm. Go Iggy! I am so glad to see Dion go away. He was the worst leader for the Liberal Party evah!
  4. The CHP did an ad campaign election before last -- their ads (not done by my agency) read: "50% of abortions end in death" -- yur doin it wrong! They spew utter lies and people like Mr. Canada believe it. Mr. Canada, do you beleive that 50% of abortions end in death? 100% of abortions should end in death -- I gleaned from the ads that the CPC was telling people that 50% of women who have abortions die from it. (the ad was not clear -- it just said 50% end in death, it didn't say of who) I had the contract for the prolife society. Nice people most of them. But I gave the contract to a coworker as I really had a hard time acting like I believed their shit.
  5. You loose man! You'd let a bacteria filled mouth on your penis???? Ewwww! Cause we all know that "religious" girls never have sex. OMG! Give the girls the pill! Educated them! What a novel concept Mr. Canada!
  6. I've never advocated that abortion be utilized as a birth control method. But because our current birth contol methods are not 100% effective (sans abstinance which is unrealistic -- people will have sex no matter if you tell them they "shouldn't" -- so let's leave that argument out of it, m'kay) abortion needs to be an option. Like it or not, we live in a world with two genders who are naturally desire sex with one another. The desire to have sex is not contingent on the desire to have a child. Many sexual encounters (most actually) are not "geared" toward impregnation, but for the joy of sex itself. If everytime a woman had sex, she would be impregnated -- lots of us would be exclusive to our vibrators! And men's right hands would be twice the size of their left
  7. And then we make another choice: whether to abort the fetus or carry it to term. If it is, as you say, our choice to have sex (be irresponsible), then it is also our choice as to what happens after that. We can choose to run to the pharmacy and get the morning after pill. Or we can make an appointment with our doctor and discuss our options. As of today, in Canada, women have three options. 1. bring the fetus to term and keep the child, and whatever implications this may have on the woman's life. 2. bring the fetus to term and give the child up for adoption, never really knowing what happens to the child. 3. abort the fetus. These options get more convoluted when the male involved is aware of the pregnancy. In that case the woman must discuss the options with him as well, even though she does have the final say. She's like, the "President" of her body and can veto all decisions made by others regarding it.
  8. Only life in the womb though right? What about the children living in alcohol or drug addicted homes? Are you going to save them? How? What about the little old lady with the shopping cart on the street. Are you going to save her? Why not? She is a life is she not? What about the drug addict who will beat your grandmother to get her purse? Are you going to save him? Is his life worth less than a fetus? And I didn't whine. You only care about the life when it is in the womb and you cannot be truly responsible for it. Once you are asked to step up to the plate and actually save living human beings you sputter out.
  9. Socialists care about the living breathing human being. The rights of the woman carrying the fetus trump the fetus. How is that so difficult to understand? There is a fear that if abortion is restricted to a certain time limit... then it's not much of a stretch to restrict it completely. Very few abortions occur in the third trimester. Very few. Someone earlier posted a stat -- .8% -- less than 1% of all abortions are late term. More than likely, if you did your homework, you would see that these abortions occur because the health of the mother is threatened or the fetus is not viable and will not survive. I support restricting abortion to the first 20 weeks -- reasons for it are irrelevant. But we need to do this without the rapid prolifers using a "back door" to restrict abortion completely.
  10. Be sure to leave your name and address with the clinic. So that you can monetarily support the women who you force to carry to term -- make sure to build a big nursery -- you are going to have a lot of new babies in your house! If I were in your area I would be there with my camera taking pictures of you folks, finding out who you are and making sure you pay for every single child that results from your actions. Women KNOW that abortion is not ideal. Why do you feel the need to force this on people? If you are against abortion, just don't have one. I am against religion, but do I go in there with signs saying you all are stupid for believing in an omnipotent god that does nothing?
  11. And then we make another choice: whether to abort the fetus or carry it to term. If it is, as you say, our choice to have the penis inject sperm, then it is also our choice as to what happens after that. Oh, and imo, life begins when the fetus is at a stage viable enough to survive with today's medical technology. 20 weeks should be the cut off.
  12. "Teach them a lesson" So you DO beleive that women should be punished for having sex. As I've said before, I am not a victim and women who act like victims of their own irresponsibility piss me off. "I got pregnant! Wahhhh, everybody has to take care of me!" Ain't gonna wash in my world. And what punishment for the male? If the woman is forced to carry to term and give it up for adoption as punishment, what punishment shall we dole out to the male part of the equation? Choosing to abort is not an easy decision for any woman. Ok it was easy for me, but then I'm a nasty, cold, heartless skank who loves sex for the sake of it, consequences be damned.
  13. I am a poor white socialist -- okey dokey What is less expensive? A 15 minute procedure at the clinic or Raising a child to adulthood. (trick question, you better put on your thinking cap!) Bulltweet, Mr. Canada. You're not against abortion because it may come out of your taxes. You are against it because only "skanks" and "loose women" have sex without a husband. And those filthy dirty whores deserve to suffer as much as possible -- "those nasty sexual sinning whores -- make 'em pay!" says Mr. Canada. pfft. I don't like you anymore.
  14. Well Har-de--har. Reealll funny. The vagina is a killing machine. It kills everything that enters it -- it attacks the sperm like and treats it like a bacteria invader (which it is) . A vagina is much cleaner than your mouth as it kills bacteria. So there "Mister-I-won't-stick-my-penis-in-it-but-I'll-eat-it".
  15. You take the cake honey. So SHE is a "dirty girl" but YOUR penis is squeeky pristine clean? Piss off you self-righteous jerk. By the way, women like sex just as much as men do. It's men like you that would never stop goddamn calling after I f*&k and dump you. Grrrrr. Only those who believe women are either whores or madonnas. We are neither. We have healthy sexual appetites just like you big old boys do. But in your brainwashed mind, women are held to a different standard than men.
  16. No I am not a "victim". No man forced me to have sex. Ever. (Guess I am one of the lucky ones) At age 15 I used the rhythm method and we used a condom. Gee whoda thunk it... condoms fall off! I found it when I went to the bathroom after my class -- I was in grade 9 (and I was 14, the kid would've been born after I turned 15 had I been forced to give birth to it). At age 33 same thing... hadn't gone back on the pill since I had my son... used a damn condom again. LOL Damn things fall off and stay in the vagina!
  17. At age 15 I aborted a fetus. At age 33 I did it again. I shudder to think of what life would be like for me now had I had a child at age 15. I probably would've married the first man that came along. (Even in 1980 it was still the norm for a female to just grab hold of whatever male came along as the chance of making it as a single mother then was much different than today) The one when I was 33... I was single with a toddler and no job. I was just planning to move... the man was genetically messed up -- it was a pity f&*k -- he had a genetic disorder and wanted me to abort and not carry his genes on. I have often wondered what it would be like to have a 30 year old adult child or a genetically f*&ked up child.... I wonder, I never regret.
  18. How about a tax credit for kids in chess clubs? Or debating clubs? Or science clubs? My son is thin and an academic. Doesn't give a rats ass about frivilous sports -- science and math are his choice of "fun" so why is there no tax incentive for brains? Wouldn't that encourage parents to enroll their kids in activities that work the brain? Not all people are hugely fat and need to diet and excercise. Being a sports/fitness nut is not the most important thing in life. Having brain is.
  19. Was there not some "bill" about that very thing Mr. Canada? The problem is is woman A's fetus is murdered by a stranger and woman B's fetus is aborted -- the law will not be able to tell the difference. And the anti-choice camp would use the law to label women murderers. It's far to blurry a line for us pro-choice folks.
  20. All that, Dr. Greenthumb, and the income of the mother is not taken into consideration at all. Even if she earns more than he does and has less expenses... it's pathetic in my opinion. The income, expenses and needs of both parents should determine whether child support is warranted. My ex makes maybe $45,000 a year or so, whereas hubby and I make over $100. My ex does not pay child support. Although when I was single and needed daycare subsidy, the government forced me to enroll with Family Maintenance. The judge awarded $315 a month from him, but I had it lowered to $100. He had a mortgage, two kids, a stay at home wife, his own business with no dental, etc. He certainly needed the money more than I did. I pulled out of Family Maintenance once I met hubby, and would've anyway once my son no longer required daycare and I no longer required the subsidy. And women who talk badly about the father of their children really piss me off. I know so many fathers that have difficult relationships with their "weekend children" because of this. Again, pathetic.
  21. "Horrific" is a little harsh imo. I am one of those single moms who choose to have the child and be wholly financially and emotionally responsible. He is a great kid so not all unwanted pregnancies end up in "horrific" situations. I completely agree. Women need to stop acting like victims and take responsibility for their decisions. That being the decision to have sex in the first place and the decision to keep or abort.
  22. That'd be a wise man. And the wise woman has condoms as well. There's more than just pregnancy to guard against. Anyone willing to have sex (male or female) with a partner they are not committed to should use birth control and std prevention. Unfortunately for men, once in a relationship (and no one has a disease so condom use stops) they are wholy dependent on the woman to use birthcontrol properly. In a relationship the "what ifs" should be discussed. Sometimes the moon is blue and the one-night stand pregnancy leads to a life of blissful marriage, but most of the time it does not. Best thing is to educate our young people that sex without a condom is abnormal and should be avoided at all costs.
  23. If you are together long enough to discuss birth control then it can be considered a relationship. Sometimes a one-night stand begins a relationship, others times not. Usually it's two people hot for one another and under the influence. Birth control in that situation takes a back seat (lol) to the passion of the moment. And yes, if a woman is willing to have that one-night stand she should make damn sure she is protected as she is the one who will have to make the very difficult decision of whether or not to keep a resultant pregnancy. Men should always wear condoms. Always. A condom is a man's only means of birth control. That makes the onus on the woman moreso as she has so many choices. Women need to take responsibility for themselves and stop acting like victims when they are not.
  24. Well then I guess it's a good thing that you didn't have to get married or you'd be stuck with a bimbo AND lousy sex! Aren't you glad you tried on those "shoes" and checked that "foundation" before you committed for life? The ability to have an intelligent conversation has always been my number one priority for a partner. That and sexual compatibility make for a great relationship IMO.
  25. You're too far away! I'd go for coffee with yah... and even buy
