Was the US election hacked?
sharkman replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
So true! The left is grasping at straws, here. This idea of winning the popular vote is a red herring. California's Clinton total over Trump was over 3 million. And in New York, she got 1.5 million more than Trump. Two very liberal states skewed the numbers of the popular vote but Clinton still never got any really close states that a recount might overturn. Either way, Trump ended up with 306 electoral votes and it's not even close, sooner or later the denial will end. It's kind of sad, though. There is no evidence of any kind of tampering, it's an simply an accusation based on an undesired result. California -
President Trump's cabinet

Hello, the facts on the ground were changing by 2011. Then there was the plan to leave 10,000 troops in Iraq that Obama refused to sign, and you refuse to acknowledge. Iraq would have been happy to keep some troops but Obama didn't pursue the matter. Either way, Obama was at the helm and wanted the troops out of Iraq, so out they came, and the rest is history. And why, after ISIS had become a real threat, did he not put troops back in Iraq? Simple and done to do that, but the guy who blamed a youtube video for the death of an ambassador and let Syria cross his "red line in the sand" wasn't going to do anything about it. You know it and I know it. -

They came into existence quite possibly because Obama pulled the American military out of Iraq. Now I know that those of you who refuse to think objectively or even critically are immediately going to knee jerk respond to that statement. But for those of you who are simply willing to consider that perhaps Obama wasn't perfect, and may have made some mistakes, I give you the rise of ISIS. After American troops left Iraq and ISIS started to grow, there were continued YEARS of news stories of them growing and attacking towns. Killing homosexuals, those from different religions and whomever else they felt like. Blowing up shrines, holy places and generally creating mass fear among the nearby populace. The problem at this point was that Obama had clearly signalled to the world that he would not respond with much force, when he threatened Syria if they used Chemical weapons in their civil war. He said that would be crossing a red line in the sand. Well, in short order, Syria crossed that line and Obama backed down. Despots, dictators and terrorists the world over saw that and knew they could get away with more mayhem with Obama in power. So ISIS grew year after year, and started recruiting Canadian and American simpletons to join their forces. Obama would lob a few missiles now and then, but ISIS just considers those deaths the cost of doing business, it hasn't slowed them down. Which brings us to the present day. A month or so before a presidential election Obama aids this campaign to get ISIS out of Mosul, and that was no coincidence(Its well known that military campaigns tend to rally Americans to their leader). But it failed, and his legacy( of failure) will not be preserved. Will Trump finally put boots on the ground, now that ISIS has had 6 or 7 years to get established and dig in? I dunno, but to wipe out ISIS now will cost many more solder lives than it would have in 2010, and certainly the blame goes to Obama. BTW, all of the hand wringing over what Trump might do or appoint on this forum from certain members is pointless. The left is whining about him and the alt right, conveniently forgetting that Obama was tied to the radical left, and many of his stupid decisions and executive orders came out of that. Pay back's a bitch. -

I got the BSm thing FROM YOUR POST. Obviously you don't know what you wrote, or what it means. That is all. -

BSm, dude, what does BSm stand for? The popular vote always gets skewed by California and New York, which is why the electoral college system works so well. Why should any two states dictate to the rest of the nation? -

Uhuh. Look, you're going to have to not assume that people know what you're talking about just because something pops into your head. What does BSm stand for? What does EC stand for? A surplus of 3 million what? -

And thankfully the average voter got sick and tired of the BS. -

Speaking of China, all of the Coal-End-of-Days tin foil hatters should go directly to China and get them to stop burning coal before they shriek about the minuscule amount that Canada or the US burns. -

Yeah, I noticed that too. You can bet that if the markets had gone down for 2 weeks it would have been a huge story. But instead, they go up and break the 19,000 barrier, so of course the honest MSM says nothing about it, relatively speaking. -

I'm hoping you're not as gullible as I am. Billionaires. They all have many lawsuits to deal with, it's just negotiation by other means. How many lawsuits do you think Mark Cuban has? Funny thing, the MSM doesn't really care because he came out against Trump. Then you have Hillary Clinton and their foundation. For some strange reason nobody on the left sees anything wrong with amassing 2 billion dollars with a "charity". Yeah, I'm sure they're super clean on that even though they've even had to redo their taxes at the insistence of the IRS. What's that? You didn't hear about this in the MSM? Ask yourself why. Their tax issues are going to grow, because even the IRS has had enough. Believe whatever makes you happy. -

Some will be upset, no doubt, as will many of the bitter lefties. But the president could never "go after" anybody. However, it's not up to the president to go after anybody, and by publicly saying this Trump is putting space between him and whatever the FBI and the IRS may dig up down the road several months. Clinton's Foundation is what you might call a target rich environment, and no doubt investigators are carefully monitoring the situation as the Clintons try to cover their tracks now that they realize that they can't use the presidency to build a wall around their illegal behaviours. Time will tell. -

This is precisely why the left will lose at the mid-terms. A failure to grasp the simple reality that they lost, not because of a small minority of extremists on the right, but because their agenda doesn't work. Obama proved it beyond a doubt, and this is what was rejected at the polls. Keep crying in your beer and lashing out at imaginary foes, we'll take it from here. -

Ah yes, the racist card. You've been phoning it in since the election. Get over yourself and accept the reality of the situation. -

I was thinking of Van Jones, and you can simply google it. -

Speaking of which, remember when Obama was going to appoint Van Jones to his cabinet back in 2009? The left weren't freaking out over it like they are over some of Trumps picks. Hypocrisy is such a bitch, isn't it! Edited, Van Jones was the chap I was thinking of. -

You keep insisting that you are not a conspiracy theorist, but I'm not as sure. Either way, business and industry has had it pretty bad under Obama, so it stands to reason that to get the economy humming, the banking industry is going to do better under a pro business Trump. Invest in banking, you'll make out well too. -

Nonsense. Hillary, the MSM and even Obama were all tripping over each other referring to Trump as deplorable, scary, etc., IN AN ATTEMPT TO SCARE THE VOTING BASE INTO VOTING AGAINST HIM. It failed, and now those so easily manipulated are freaking out because Hitler got elected. What a joke, but this is all on the Main Stream Media , Hillary's campaign and Obama. -

Obama very rarely reveals his true intent on an important matter. I noticed he's been mum on what he's going to do with his time once he's out of office. I'd bet he's going to come back as some kind of Dem national community leader and attempt to 'save' his deplorable legacy. I hope at some point as Obama tries to convince Trump to save Obamacare, etc., Trump says something like, "Thanks Barry, we'll take it from here". -

My simple point is, if one is uncapable of criticizing the likes of Van Jones, and a crew of tax cheats, then one's opinions have little integrity, say what you want about Harper. -
President Trump's cabinet
sharkman replied to Derek 2.0's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Gee, all of this angst about Trump's cabinet, I can't seem to recall the lefties around here saying much about Obama's first cabinet. Van Jones. Tom Daschle with his laughable tax problems. Nancy Killefer with HER tax problems. Timothy Geithner - you guessed it, more tax not paid issues. Trump's picks show more attention to detail than the unvetted crew from Obama's first cabinet. In fact, I bet at the meeting between Trump and Obama, at some point Trump got tired of all the silly advice and just said, Thanks, we'll take it from here. -

Well, here's where one of the operatives resigns, http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/18/politics/project-veritas-action-robert-creamer-donald-trump-rallies/ And here's why he resigned. Then of course you have the attacking of Trump voters after the election, Chicago comes to mind. And more attacks before the election What I said about dem operatives committing hate crimes to make Trump supporters look bad, that's a theory at this point. But with the above violent acts recorded,(and how many have occurred and not recorded), and the riots and protests going on simply because Trump won, it certainly does seem within the realm of possibility. -

sharkman replied to Boges's topic in Political Philosophy
Not really sure what any of that has to do with dem extremists committing hate crimes to make republicans look bad. Either way, as soon as the left gets over itself and realizes that the sun is still coming up every morning, I'm sure their violence will cease. -

Being that it's documented that dem operatives were sent to Trump rallies to stir things up, I would not be surprised to find out that some of these hate crimers are leftwingnuts trying to stir up some shit. It's certainly within the realm of possibility with some of the desperation they feel.
