  1. And what happens if there is a serious downturn in the economy? Hint--tax payers are left holding the bag. http://network.nationalpost.com/np/blogs/fullcomment/archive/2010/02/10/we-should-privatize-cmhc.aspx
  2. Canadian homes are overpriced. The Canadian economy depends on the American economy and currently their economy is not doing so well. If it worsens, no doubt the bubble will burst and Canadian tax payers will be on the hook. The feds should never have gotten involved with the banks with the end result being the creation of an artificial economy.
  3. Certainly there were francophone's in Canada before Trudeau. The only problem was is that they did not have the knowledge or resources to successfully transform their obsolete segregated little French society into a modern functioning society. That is of course until Trudeau came along with his great anti-English cultural conspiracy. That is only scratching the surface, but yes, absolutely.
  4. Here is an article that says it was a bailout: More: http://www.vancouversun.com/opinion/Believe+bail+banks/3091428/story.html
  5. I know all about it. The Canadian elite dumped problamatic francophones and third world immigrants in an effort to destroy the culture, lifestyles and traditons of White English speaking Christian Canadians.
  6. It is illegal. Quote from the Ottawa Citizen article: This admission really serves as a great deterrent.
  7. Whether StatsCan denies using the word conspiracy is irrelevant. A plot to carry out an illegal act IS A CONSPRIACY. In this case the plot was carried out by an e-mail. The Ottawa Citizen was using correct terminology. What the new definiton is referring to about are Allophones or foreign immigrants whose mother tongue is neither of the federal governments official languages, English or French, but is the mother tongue of some other foreign language. In this case Madeline Meilleur, minister for francophone affairs is trying to capitilize on with her new definition, are those foreign immigrants whose spoken or understood languages includes the French language. It seem the Ottawa Citizen was correct outlining Meilleur's new francophone definition. This new definiton is not only stupid but is ludicrious as Ontario's major language is de facto English and not French which only represents 4.8% of Ontario's population. Premier of Ontario is 'sleeping at the wheel to allow Meiller' to do this as it could be counter productive to Ontario's economy if a foreign immigrants are encouraged to communicate in French rather than English and could severley hamper foreign immigrants ability to obtain employment which is almost exclusively in the English language, especially in the Toronto area. It also seems 'mother tounge' has no meaning when when minority francophones communicate in English in the public sphere and in the workplace and therefore for all practical purposes they have been assimilated. I wish Madeline Meilleur minister of francophone affairs in Ontario and premier Dalton Mc.Guinty would understand what 'assimilate' means and admit that keeping the French language artifically alive serves no purpose and is a total waste of tax payers dollars.
  8. http://www.ottawacitizen.com/life/StatsCan+eyes+francophone+conspiracy/3091164/story.html I always thought Trudeau's 'just society' relating to Francophones and Quebec was about respect. But then again how can you respect a fascist state like Quebec and this group of cheating, lying Francophones who are trying to manipulate the census for their own benefit in order to guarantee federal funding of programs for Francophones.
  9. http://www.ottawacitizen.com/life/StatsCan+eyes+francophone+conspiracy/3091164/story.html I always thought Trudeau's 'just society' relating to Francophones was all about respect. Beats me how anyone can have respect for Quebec, a fascist state, or this particular group of Francophone cheaters and liars.
  10. There would be problems but I think Canada would do fine without Quebec and probably have enough money to boot to pave Canada's crumbling roadways. Actually prior to the BNA Act it was the British colonies of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island that discussed with Britain the possibility of a union to counter the threat of American annexation and to reduce the cost of governance. It was the British government that approaced the British colony of the Province of Canada that contained upper Canada (now Ontario) and lower Canada ( now Quebec) to be included in talks of a possible union. You mean Quebec is stronger after taking advantage of Canada as a federation, to pursue it's forever ongoing cultural demands. Thanks to the federal government and the tax payers of Canada who subsidize just about everthing in Quebec. What influence? If you are talking about la Francophonie it mainly serves the province of Quebec. If you are talking about trade with Eurpean countries, it is pretty dismal compared to our major trading partner the U.S. Quebec is the cause of an unstable federation as attested by it's two referendums on separating from Canada. And according to an Ottawa Citizen article, "Get ready for the next referendum" Wed, May 12/2010, pg. A13, a third referendum could be in the cards if PQ leader Pauline Marois gets her way after possibly winning a Quebec election. Canada won the 1995 Quebec referendum on separation by a mere 55.000 votes. I would not call that a large majority of Canadians who want Quebec to stay.
  11. The plaintiff and the defendant are litigants, not parties.
  12. Wanting to destroy Canada? I think they have been successful in destroying the polical workings of English Canada. To bad intelligent politicians don't know the same thing or are totally dumbfounded as to what to do about it. Bilingual SC justices is an example of linguistic madness and perceived rights gone bonkers.
  13. Sorry Macho, English in Quebec as a SECOND language does not compare with the ROC that mostly offers French immersion programs that Quebec does not. In fact Quebec schools do not even compare with schools in Rwanda, where government wants all academic lessons to be taught in ENGLISH. http://allafrica.com/stories/201002010594.html It seems Quebec could learn a thing or two from Rwanda. Even in communist China the official language is standard Chinese, but most buisness people speak English. http://www.cyborlink.com/besite/china.htm
  14. Then why is it Quebecers must attend a French school up until the end of high school? Or explain what 'compulsory means', for example, how many hours per day of English language instruction students receive or whatever is the case? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education_in_Canada
  15. Speaking of clueless losers, my 'real troll comment' was directed at you as being the real troll. To bad you did not get it. And I could very well be a loser, as well as million of other Canadians who were not born francophone and do not get to eat the icing off the cake, thanks to a dysfunctional, irresponsible federal government.
  16. They can be different as they want, just as long as they pay for their own different ideologies. Genocide...that is a horrible thing for you to suggest. My logic dictates if Rwanda, an emerging competitive African country, can recognize that the English language is the common language of work and buisness, then why is it Quebec could never do the same.
  17. 'Disparition' is a French word and is not an English word.
  18. Get off the pot Canadien and admit that you detest the success of the English language in Canada and throughout the world. Sure...and that is why English is replacing French as the language of instruction in the countries schools and thousands of Rwandan schoolteachers were fired because they could not teach the new English language. Right.... this is Canada and not Rwanda. "Disparition fo the French language from Canada"....Whatever that is suppose to mean. My only agenda is to see Canada succeed and not become any more of a crippled linguistic basket case than it already is.
  19. When Governor General Michaëlle Jean visits Rwanda next week she might have to bite her tongue about the country’s new language policy. After a century of close ties to France and Belgium, the East African nation is phasing out français and embracing English. “English is becoming more and more dominant in the world,” says Arnaud Nkusi, anchor of Rwanda’s state-owned TV news. “It’s all about business. You have to move with the rest of the world.” http://www2.macleans.ca/2010/04/22/french-is-out-of-fashion-in-rwanda/ When will French Canadians come out of the stone age and learn the English language, like they are currently doing in Rwanda.
  20. Your sarcasm is not worth grasping nor is not the least bit funny. Lol, amuse yourself somemore, dork.
  21. If equalty rights are so equal, then why does it take Nazi type language laws to enforce those so called rights? Nazi Germany thought the same way relating to their ideologies. The Nazi Germans blamed Jews and left wing for poverty, unemployment and the loss of World War 1. Sound familiar? Think Plains of Abraham and those darn WASP. So What. I am talking about laws that could be viwed as hate laws, employed under the guise of language laws, like in Canada. I know what I am talking about but it is apparent you don't. French speaking Canadians as a minority have always had to learn English, the language of the majority, for employment out of Quebec. What is so earth shattering about that, as English speaking Canadians have to learn French, if they want employment in Quebec.
  22. Er, it was the Quebec nationalist that coined the (copycat Nazi phrase), 'Night of the Long Knives'. Lol, I don't think it matters how many premiers were brandishing knives. Surley you understand the concept, that if one group brandishes a weapon, the other group must also in order to defend themselves. All I know is that English speaking Canadians are forced to learn French in order to gain access to certain jobs where as qualifications have been poisioned by overzealous application of Nazi type language laws.
  23. There is nothing to prove. The French have been assimilated to the customs and ways of English Canada and outside of Quebec only use their French language on a part time basis. The French language in Quebec and the ROC has been artifically kept alive by the federal government and tax payers of Canada. BTW...the definiton of assimilate is to 'absorb into a larger body' . The word does not apply to a minority absorbing a larger body. Not my Nazi type language policies, but the French in the province Quebec and the federal government and some municipal government Nazi type language laws. Name me another country that currently employs Canadian Nazi type language laws? Language laws are offensive to almost everyone in the world but some dumb Canadians.
  24. Supreme Court of Canada judicial appointees should be completely bilingual, according to a New Brunswick MP whose private member's bill would make the requirement law. Eight of nine justices in the country's highest court can now hear cases in both English and French, but NDP MP Yvon Godin's Bill C-232 would make it mandatory for Supreme Court judges to be able to understand both official languages without the assistance of an interpreter. John Major, who served as a Supreme Court of Canada justice from 1992 to 2005, said Godin's bill would make language skills more important than legal competence. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/new-brunswick/story/2010/04/06/nb-godin-supreme-court-judges-bilingual-442.html http://www2.parl.gc.ca/HousePublications/Publication.aspx?DocId=4329896&Language=e&Mode=1&File=24 Why not simply rename Canada to Quebec and get it over with. Or at least hold a referendum over this issue.
