  1. If you do not have anything significant to ad this thread then don't post. You are not in the position to attack or criticize another poster based only on only what you think is right. This equates to an attack on FREE SPEECH, something you must consider foreign and not in line from whatever country you come from. But here in Canada free speech is the norm and if you don't like it, to bad. No outrage at all, we simply have different cultural views considering what is permissible and honourable pertaining to the actions of our Canadian prime minister. This is what happens when different cultures are allowed to retain their culture in a modern civilized society. Majority White English speaking Canadians have to contend with the backward views and actions of incompatible cultures who have their own code relating to what is acceptable and what isn't acceptable what is normal what isn't normal, etc. etc. I have never heard of any Canadian prime minister officiating the opening of any 'place of worship' in Canada. Outside of what this this thread is addressing, Mr. Harper officiating the opening of a Hindu temple. I will ask you to make up a list to prove me wrong, all or any other Canadian prime ministers who have behaved in a similar manner since 1867, officiating the opening of a 'place of worship'. I would not be to sure about that. Anyone going to these great lengths to accumulate this type of money from donations for a place of worship, signifies that this group takes their religion ultra seriously. And I will also include these expensive Mosques. This in turn could very well signify, these establishments along with their teachings could represent a serious threat to existing Canadian values, lifestyles and culture. This is why I do not support 'official multiculturalism' as eventually it could become a cultural Pandora's Box. Oh thanks, how arrogant of you!
  2. Your the one who said it, instigator.
  3. You are mocking my previous post smart ass. That discussion was between myself and Renegade. Your ad-libbing is unwelcome. The goal post were never moved, but the topic changed direction. Maybe if you read through you would have noticed. Stop ruining threads with your assholic comments. Here come dah judge, here come dah judge, order in the courtroom, here come dah judge, in his own twisted mind. No, it was the PM pandering for votes in a holy temple that is the killer. You sound like a racist instigator. Your the type I am talking about. Say what is on your mind, you nobody coward.
  4. Your link doesn't work. No. I mean a province ignoring it's infrastructure maintenance relating to bridges, overpasses and ramps and then pleading ignorance to that fact and expecting federal help as a result, is nothing more than a con game. If all provinces behaved in this haphazard manner Canada would be bankrupt in a very short period of time. In your book it seems there are no rewards for provinces who quietly and responsibly carry out their scheduled maintenance with no fanfare.
  5. I don't have a list nor consider any Christian religious buildings any more significant from a religious point of view. All are simply places of worship. Relating to this topic it is the Hindu's placing great dollar value on their religious building with Harper officiating the opening. Anyways it is you who said: "Agreed, but it is also not an unknown practice for politicians to attend the opening of a significant religious edifice or even greet its visiting leaders." So, where is your list of religious buildings officiated by Canadian PM's? Positions and issues are the task of the the government of the day, but they are excluding the 'will of Canadians' and you can transform that to the will of the White English speaking Canadian who just happens to be the majority, Is that not why we have MP representation to obtain majority concerns and issues from Canadians at large and do something about these concerns and issues? Both the Liberal and Conservatives are in collusion with each other by default. Canadian voters are trapped by the totalitarian aspect of Canadian politics, they have no real choice in a corrupt system. How can I have evidence in a dictatorship. Who knows what the 'will of Canadians is', they have NEVER had the chance to express their views in referendums and have been undemocratically oppressed politically, by totaltitarian practices. The results would be tainted, as I believe minorities who dominate this site with faulty minority logic, would not be compatible with majority views and concerns, of which we lack on this site. This is the problem when reverse discrimination is discounted, minorities become the actual bigots and racist.
  6. Maybe you could provide a list of Canadian PM,s who officially attended the opening of significant religious buildings here in Canada? Let's get our terminology straight. When you speak of the Christian majority in Canada, you are talking about the majority 'White English speaking Canadian', who are not a fanatical group and with most who do not associate themselves with a non-mainstream party of this sort. Face facts, the Federal Liberals and Quebec spun cultural webs around Canada's political working much in the same way as a fanatical religion but pertaining to culture. So to-day what we basically have in Canada is French and foreign cultural fanaticism, controlled by the Federal Government, Quebec, and ethnic minorities who have basically obliterated White English Canada and its history and culture. You know the Conservatives and Liberals are totalitarian political parties and do not allow referendums relating to majority support. What majority support are you talking about, corrupt telephone polls. Just because Canadian voters HAVE NO CHOICE but to vote for either of the mainstream federal political parties does not mean they support their policies. I do not deny holding REASONABLE intolerant views. And why shouldn't I, as this could simply be because of our current politcal parties being totally intolerant to the will of Canadians'. Your racist accusations are nonsense.
  7. Mc.Guinty is also responsible for allowing Ottawa to become 'officially bilingual' (for votes without any sort of referendum), while Mike Harris opposed the move and never seen the need for 'official bilingualism in Ottawa. BTW-Ontario has no official bilingual policy and would like to see what would happen to Mr. Mc.Guinty if he ever tried to unilaterally declare Ontario officially bilingual. http://www.cbc.ca/news/story/1999/12/13/bilingual991213.html
  8. The question is moot. Like every other province it will be a combo of Fed and Prov. Works out to about $21 a person across Canada, except Ont, which gets $15 per person. What funding are you talking about? How about citing your source? Quebec it appears, is looking for special emergency assistance or they would not be crying the blues over what every other province considers normal ongoing maintenance, relating to structural repairs to bridges, overpasses and ramps.
  9. Maybe you don't have any "values" worth representing. That depends if you are one of them or one of us. Regardless, if your values are not cultural oriented, count as nothing.
  10. Er, no. Representatives of most countries often attend funerals of influential people of other countries. It is not an unknown practise to do this. Christians have no party to flex their muscles to. All federal parties accept the Charter and official multiculturalism. The makes the political system in Canada dysfunctional, since the premiers ratified Trudeau's Charter, politicians must abide by it even if it discriminates, is undemocratic and is badly flawed. Hoe can you alienate the majority when all national federal parties accept the Charter and official multiculturalism. The only thing that separates the Conservatives and Liberals to-day is, ?????? Both parties are clones of each other due to the lack of democratic initiatives that should allow Canadians to be part of the decision making machinery relating to important issues in this country. Political parties in Canada are currently bogged down in their own corruptness. There is NO majority anything in this country, relating to political demands. The country spins on cultural ideologies, thanks to the magic of the federal liberals and Quebec and besides both parties are totaliatarian by nature. Taking advantage of a dysfunctional political system is no excuse to label anyone racist.
  11. The folk in Bagotville could very well be French nationalist that care little for federalist. I see no merit in a PM pandering to a culture that approx. 50% of Quebec's population sided with the separatist in the last referendum. Loyalty to Canada is the name of the game and when it comes to Canada's military or federal public servants, loyalty to Canada must be assured. I think Mr. Harper is blindly wading into a dangerous area without verifying Canada's federal public servants are indeed loyal to Canada first and foremost which is impossible to determine pertaining to Quebec at this time. This of course, could, in the event of severe problems between Quebec and the rest of Canada, place the country at risk. I don't know how anyone could possibly be so naive not to acknowledge this fact. As it stands now we have an entire army brigade in Valcartier QB, and a fighter wing in Bagotville. That's lots of military power. The 3R22R from Valcartier is currently replacing 2RCR in Afghanistan, so Quebec military units are at the pointy end these days.... I have benn in the military for 19 years and have not met many separtists in unifom, only 1 I recaqll, and he was a 20 years old private, not much of a threat..... I spent 18 months stationed at St Jean QB. We military folks were treated as an occupying army by the civilain locals for the most part. Quebec separtist have NO loyalty to Canada, your right, so they do not join our military...... You have failed to understand what the risk is. The risk is, in the event of a Quebec/ROC conflict who would Quebec (and or francophones in general) federal public servants/military be loyal to, Quebec nationalistic ideologies or federal ideologies? And how can you confirm or prove loyalties and ideologies? You can't and this compounds the risk.
  12. Canada being an 'official multicutural country, I would say makes the 'separation of church and state' all that much more serious. How about $40-million dollar temples for starters. Your problem is that you see no difference between the federal Liberals and the province of Quebec. I would think my God would be extremely disappointed with that sort of materialistic extravagance. This is extremely condescending, especially relating to poor people of the world, with nothing more than the soil beneath their feet to worship and pray. So, now we are competing with high price god's, worship, are we.
  13. I guess so. I just think the fact that I dont wear tinfoil aids me in seeing the truth. You don't need tinfoil aids, just a brain. Ask yourself a simple question. How many other countries are there in the world that have 'official multiculturalism' entrenched in their constitution? Maybe tinfoil aids would help you.
  14. No, your right the country does not have a national STATE religion. The country does have a national (peculiar to or characteristic of a particular nation) religion common with the majority of this country, Christianity. How can you possibly make such a nonsensical claim when Canada is a capitalistic totalitarian undemocratic regime by nature with the only democratic right being the right to vote for your so called representative (MP). We are NOT all employed by the federal government, therefore government should reflect the right of the citizens of Canada to decide important decisions that affect ALL Canadians, a right we do not have. If Canadians did have that right, you could be disappointed relating to the rights now granted by our federal government in comparison to the rights that would be ratified by Canadian citizens. Until the time comes ALL Canadians are included in the decision making process of important political issues, you have no right labelling anyone racist in an undemocratic country that excludes the wishes of the citizens of Canada.
  15. What things are innocent? It seems you are still unaware that language and religion both being a component of culture and charter rights are tearing this country apart at the seams. Do you actually think that condoning and allowing the cultures to fight it out for first place, will not be the downfall of this country? Do you actually think equality among cultures is the answer to a peaceful coexistence when you know equality is a figment of the imagination and power is what it is all about. Are you really that naive and uninformed.
  16. IMO those who interpret it as an endorsement of Hindu religion would be idiots. Harper also attends East Gate Alliance Church in Ottawa. Shoud we take it as an endorsement of that particular church? Is it your expectation that Harper should not attend East Gate Alliance Church because he is Prime Minister? Mr. Harpers devotion to his personal faith is his business and also is a constitutional right. But Mr. Harper acting in the position of prime minister of this country, should know religion is a volatile subject and leaves himself open to criticism by outright pandering, by participating concerning the propaganda aspect relating to the ideal isms of the Hindu religion and all of its implied glory. This is happening in a country whereas the majority religion of the land, Christianity was chastised and oppressed and instructed by law to remove certain elements of that faith relating to Christian prayer in public schools, traditional school plays relating to Christmas and companies forced to comply to the political correct efforts of our federal government not to include the word 'Christmas' on Christmas cards. All of this because of complaints by minority religions. Mr. Harper is doing the country a religious disservice by allowing himself to be manipulated by a minority religion that will only be appreciated with a sense of superiority by the followers of that religion who now know Mr. Harper is on their side and be in support of the spread of the Hindu religion in Canada. Bad move Mr. Harper, this is primarily a majority Christian country.
  17. So, what exactly are you saying, that the current pool of potential recruits consist of airheads rather than being intellectually inclined?
  18. 'Prime Minister Stephen Harper takes part in a ceremony to mark the opening of the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Temple in Toronto on Sunday. " http://www.canada.com/topics/news/national...cdee93e&k=95728 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I might ask what is Mr. Harper exactly doing participating in what can be best described as promoting the Hindu religion. Is it not factual that political leaders should not express religious preferences in the course of their duties? In this particular instance it could very well mean Mr.Harper is trying to buy votes via religion. And what about the state actively involving itself to endorse a religious belief? It could very well be interpreted by many that Mr. Harper is endorsing the Hindu religion, simply by his participating in taking part in a ceremony to mark the opening of the $40-million dollar Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Temple. Since the opening of this temple cannot be seen in the same light as the grand opening of some donut shop or similar, it could very well mean mixed signals are being sent to Canadians relating to the 'separation of church and state'. Agree or disagree?
  19. Link Notice I said provinces in Canada and not a foreign country with winters with much less snow than we have here in Canada. The point is: " Pleading with Quebecers not to panic, Transport Department officials made public yesterday a list of 135 bridges, overpasses and ramps that it has targeted for special inspection because of concerns they could collapse." This clearly represents an abnormal situation and one that could point to plain neglect or incompetency relating to normal maintenance.
  20. 21. All the statues I've seen of white people are green and speckled with white pigeon droppings. Imagine if there were Black ones..then you would have a problem. Talk about outright hate for Caucasians and in our own country.
  22. Rapid deployment is currently a major issue with Canada's military. Canada lacks equipment badly, to be able to deploy anywhere. "Labour Minister Jean-Pierre Blackburn, the local MP, said the move would pump between $80-million and $85-million yearly into the Saguenay regional economy. Bloc Québécois defence critic Claude Bachand said the Conservative government will be disappointed if they think Quebeckers will change their minds regarding Canada's role in Afghanistan. "I don't think running around throwing a little bit of money on one side or another will change the opinion of the Quebeckers concerning the mission," he said." This is nothing more than another blatant attempt to buy votes. Three hundred million is a drop in the bucket when it comes to building a functioning military. The $3.1 billion dollar expenditure pertaining to the Arctic patrol ships can be seen in the same light as it also is nothing more than a drop in the bucket and represents no significant increase in fire power to enforce and protect Canada's sovereignty. Canada will forever lack the proper fire power and military strength and equipment to emulate a country like the U.S. Spending money in the way of the military is senseless, as major national federal political parties do not share the same ideologies, concerning Canada's military. Until a consensus is reached with all federal parties, pertaining to Canada's military, it really makes no sense for one government to build a military and another federal government to dismantle or not support the work of the other.
  23. "OTTAWA — An air force unit capable of rapid deployment will be established at Canadian Forces Base Bagotville in northwestern Quebec, the government said yesterday, a move seen by some experts as a major shift away from Canada's traditional military role as a peacekeeper." Also: "On Thursday, Mr. O'Connor announced $200-million in funding to resurrect the Saint-Jean campus of the Royal Military College in Quebec, a move designed to draw more potential francophone officers into the Canadian Forces. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ More shameless Conservative vote buying in the province of Quebec. Now I know what they mean when they say a Canadian PM has more power than a king. I certainly hope all this vote buying pays off well for Mr. Harper and company, as it certainly seems his desire, following in the footsteps of the Liberals, is to have only francophones employed as federal public servants. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/sto...y/National/home
  24. Sounds like you are trying to blame many for the incompetency of the Quebec Department of Transport for failing to carry out, for what should be, scheduled preventive maintenance and associated repairs. But the question is, in the final analysis, will the federal government and the tax payers of Canada be left holding the bag or will Quebec accept its responsibility, stop crying the blues and forge ahead with the necessary repairs.
  25. I checked it out and sounds like: " A place for democrats and liberals with closed minds. It has 70,000 members, yet they all sound the same. The basic message is "fuck bush, fuck republicans, fuck Howard Dean, fuck anyone with a differing opinion, oh god, the world is going to end." http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?...tic+Underground
