Do you even know what you are talking about? Israel has been repeatedly attacked and deserves any support it can get. If you want peace in the middle east try and look at the situation in a more balanced approach rather the same old garbage of anti-Semitic propaganda. The USSR has repeatedly armed all the arab countries that have attacked Israel over the last 60 some years but because the US gives Israel support they are to blame for everything. The problems in the Middle east are not because of Israel or the US, they precede Israel's existence and America's involvement in the Middle East. The nations to blame for the disaster in the middle east are the European powers and the Arabs themselves.

So I ask, what is or defines a Canadian?
Signals.Cpl replied to a topic in Federal Politics in Canada
So instead of having standards you will have quotas? Instead of inviting a well qualified immigrant from Ukraine we will invite an under qualified immigrant from Britain because he speaks english? How do you judge which nationality is and should be let in the country first? How many points would you put on nationality? If you want the best to come to Canada, make a high standard, if you want the remainder to come to Canada while the other immigrant receiving nations take the best make the quotas. Nationality has nothing to do with how hard you work or what kind of person you are. -
Open Government Still Not Here

Yes, and thats also why if the department in question had no PR rep then they could pass the decision up to the next level in order to avoid having their name in the paper in case the story is twisted in a negative way. -

Open Government Still Not Here
Signals.Cpl replied to Michael Hardner's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Yes I do, I have been told many times not to talk to reporters while in uniform because they tend to twist anything you say to fit their agenda, in most cases the agenda is to sell newspapers or ads pace on their TV or Radio station. There are times when someone or a group of people make outlandish claims and journalists go with it without doing any research. People become paranoid because the government is always bad and no one wants to appear in the paper in a negative light because the reporter is intend ton doing a negative piece. -

If reporters did their research people would be more willing to present them with information. -

No the question is would you want the doctor who barely worked to achieve an 80, or someone who overcame every obstacle that came their way and achieved an 80. Here is the pool of potential immigrants: Britain France America Australia New Zealand And that about it for the english and or french speaking potential sources of immigrants... Now what? Where do you get the workforce needed to support the aging population of Canada? -

Did you read the rest? You want people who fought hard to achieve the requirements rather then people who rolled out of bed and already met them. You can have a limited pool of people or you could open up the process to everyone as long as they meet the same high standards. -

wishful Thinking If I said I will kill you, and you know in the past I have carried out my threat would you (a) Call the police and have them bait me in to starting something in a controlled environment thus being safe and secure while a dangerous person is removed from the situation or (b)hope for the best and try not to antagonize me even though I have said I will do it and have the history to prove that I intent to. Do you support vaccines? You know the things where a doctor puts a virus in to you to prevent you from getting sick? As long as there is a legitimate belief that someone will cause violence police try to get the violent party to commit to action in once again a controlled environment where it is less dangerous for everyone. Any sources for the places where police started the rioting? And what would have happened if the police moved in and started calming the situation down? I guarantee you many of the rioters and police would be injured and the police would be accused of brutality in putting the riot down. Where is the precedent? Montebello? Different city, Different province, Different situation. I find it hard to believe that the G20 protestors were so innocent seeing as wherever they go violence shortly follows. Either there is a worldwide police conspiracy to discredit the protestors, or there are groups within which use violent means to achieve a goal. -
Khadr should make us ashamed to be Canadian

Sad that just 65 years ago we were willing to execute people who commit treason and now we reward them. -

Seems to me that if Khadr had only killed another few American soldiers we would be ready to build him a friggin monument and buy him a house on the beach. -

Then answer the question, how would the police prevent this? The majority of protestors went with the idea of a peaceful protest, while the minority went with violent intent. What the police tried to do was get the violent group going in a controlled environment where they can control the outcome. Police throw the bait, rioters take the bait and police officers take them down=Preventative Police wait until riot starts and it could start in a location with little to no police presence and then taking down the rioters would cause multiple injuries.=Reacting Its essentiality vaccines. You either get the vaccine or wait for the decease. -

It seems to me that Canadians are ready to reward criminals, Karla Homolka received a degree and learned a second language, Jasmine Richardson killed 3 people and gets out scot free with an education, innocent poor Khadr will be given a free education as well...Turns out murder and terrorism seems more and more lucrative then being a law abiding, tax paying citizen. Where is the outcry for Specialist Bowe Robert Bergdahl or Highlander Scott McLaren? What about Dr Karen Woo? -

Its still a war as it connects Afghanistan and Iraq. The US has been in Afghanistan for over 10 years now, their goals are changing and evolving. Just like in World war 2 it was not about the Jews in the concentration camps but eventually the goal of the war evolved to include that as a final state. -

So I have a question, George Bush declared the War on Terror, now any attack on the US would therefore not qualify as a terrorist attack? The Americans in particular and the ISAF in general are in Afghanistan because the Afghan people want help to get rid of a predominately foreign force(the Taliban) who have been oppressing the population and brutalizing the women of Afghanistan. -
