Canada to be China’s 24th province?
John Stone replied to paxamericana's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
.............the state of the UNITED STATES today is a direct and ongoing result of the alliances it built, post WWII. freedom of the seas. ............... was a designed strategy, self serving of course, but brilliant. However, it relied (relies) on Allies........... lest the entire USN becomes engaged in the Strait of Hormuz!😄 -
The World is a sewer - a shrinking sewer. I'm assuming ur aware of NBC Science is prevention - warts and all. A pandemic will sweep thru a population like a wildfire - and that includes the military. Covid is proof of that. As of April 2025 the confirmed death toll attributed to Covid 19 stands at over 8 million. The US official count was 1.2 million. I don't think a final determination was made as to whether the attack was intentional. Giggles n chuckles - did the slants overreact too.

All i can tell you is that China is exploiting a self-inflicted injury. Both countries possess enough firepower of the finest order to make the rubble bounce several times. -

Islands? My god man, islands need to be resupplied? Although the Japs lost - were nuked - what was the squib that brought Japan into the war. It was the U.S. oil embargo of 1941. Imagine if the US threatened the Malacca Strait today - alone - sans allies, and it would be SANS allies! fk'n disaster! The chinks would rip the USN a new A$$HOLE (I love the USN) ........... and NK and Russia would likely wade in. I may as well mention this - China has spent decades developing a weapon capable of taking out a carrier - wonder who they were thinking of. -

An embargo of the Malacca Strait? In the quiet deserts of western China, hundreds of missile silos are rising from the earth. For decades, Peking (ha!) nuclear posture was defined by restraint; a minimalist doctrine rooted in deterrence, not dominance. Today, that doctrine is being rewritten. But lets not get to the crowd pleasers suddenly - China will fight a conventional war - they are capable and have the advantage of geography. Giggles and chuckles, research the so-called, nine-dash-line in the south China sea. Does that sound to u like a minimalist strategy. That country is surging (Asia, Europe, South America) - they cannot believe their good fortune finding the US saddled with such incompetence. -

............. yeah, Trump will have to answer to that when he meets with Xi. 😄 -
Anyone seen the manner in which Trump scrapes to Xi, Kim Jong, Putin? The manner is representative of a coward - 'they' on the other hand treat him with disdain. Trump is incapable of debate with any Global leader ................. and his so-called 'press communications'? Akin to an empty drum - loud, abusive, empty and without substance. Contrast Trump's manner in terms of respect / speech when he is addressing or critiquing a national leader he considers 'less'. Zelenskyy comes to mind - Trump's all aggression then - bullying. That is not a display of strength, gentlemen - on the contrary, it is a vulgar display of weakness. Trump is a coward.

In 2025, China’s GDP expanded 5 percent (consistent year on year) maintaining its position as the world’s second largest economy according to the National Bureau of Statistics. The growth was supported by industrial and agricultural production improvements, a revitalized service sector and strong global demand for Chinese goods. Exports (China) contributed significantly tho, with real growth projected at 5-6 percent annually according to Goldman Sachs Canada primarily exports energy, minerals, agricultural foodstuffs, seafood. Canada has been forced to diversify its exports markets tho with energy and minerals leading recent growth Canada’s exports to China have surged, particularly crude oil in the first half of 2025. This growth was driven by the Trans Mountain Expansion pipeline allowing significantly increased crude shipments to China. Metallic minerals, coal and copper are also major exports to the chinks contributing to Canada’s overall export growth. Kanadian agricultural products should not be forgotten either, canola seed, beef, pork, fish. Recent government changes in 2026 reduced tariffs on canola from 85 percent to 14 percent, greatly improving market access resulting in billions in annual exports to China. Hate to say it but China is to be applauded - with a population of 1.5 billion it has amazing accomplishment and not simply in feeding, educating and caring for this domestic hoard, but progressing science, health, engineering, technology. Oh, yeah, this country is 'comer' and has been since PRC became a country in 1949. Arguably China's biggest advantage re: population and productivity is its ideology - the ability of a government to tweek, push and pull for efficacy should not be ignored. Difficult to say who applauded more at the announcement of Trump's second tenure; Putin, NK or Xi. ? 😄 -
President Donald Trump's appointment of RFK Jr., a decades-long vaccine skeptic, as Sec of HHS is definitely undermining public trust in proven safe and effective vaccines. On the other hand the appointment is further proof that the c-in-c has a penchant for surrounding himself with incompetent and unqualified individuals. Why is that? Arguably it gives Trump confidence and the bragging right of being first-amongst-equals. 😄

Canada to be China’s 24th province?

In a more divided and uncertain world, Canada is without a doubt diversifying and building a stronger, more independent (from US), resilient economy. With the US. determined to be more isolationist (consumer to production economy) it makes sense for Canada to lean towards China, et al. It makes sense to forge economic ties to the country that will soon be the number one global economic powerhouse. Gawd, the coming US-China talks (if they occur) is going to be a plethora of scraping by TACO. The U.S. cannot be trusted tho .............. the World is realigning. Kanadians. Trust?............... standby for the coming CUSMA talks -
No doubt they did - promote the idea of possessing ICBM - Baghdad bob syndrome. The reason for Iran's pursuit of this advanced technology is to have an Aegis against conventional attack? The regime would without a doubt promote this capability - propaganda works? Where's the evidence of successful launch, we're talking of taking test shots tens-of-thousands of miles down range - a projectile that travels into space for the majority of its trajectory and re-enters the atmosphere at incredible speeds - making it difficult (impossible) to intercept in terminal flight. Iran would be incredibly foolish to install a cobbled, miniaturized nuke warhead onto a prototype ICBM platform for an attack .............. anywhere - the launch would be detected immediately (most vulnerable) and Iran would cease to exist. During the 2008 Dem primary, then-Senator Hildebeest warned that the US would use overwhelming force if Iran launched a nuke attack on Israel. 'If I'm president, we will attack Iran' and that, 'Iran will be 'totally obliterated' in response to such an attack. I believe the dumb beotch meant it - on the other hand she would have been far too intelligent to launch something akin to 'Epic Fury' .......... much to Israel's chagrin.

Fear is a significant factor in influencing voter behavior, it instills anxiety and is used to create a sense of crisis, a sense of urgency or danger. Historically, populist hacks have used it effectively to create division and by extension to promote a political agenda. With Trump as President there is no chance of the U.S. acting in defense of Taiwan much less, Europe. Trump punches, ‘down’. The thought of a conflict, even via proxy, with China, Russia or NK scares the bejesus out of him. So the idea that the US is depleting it’s munition reserve to a point where a confrontation with the (3) would be a concern is moot – a direct conflict will never happen. Ask yourself why the Administration is requesting a record breaking budget of trillions for the Defense dept? Historically this type of strategy has led to an arms race ………. conventional and nuke. Trump is a scared C-in-C, not at the National level ..............at the personal level. Some have labelled him a thin skinned, ignorant, 80 y/o, coward, in his dotage and teetering on senility.

I really wouldn't expect Trump to 'finish' the job - recovering the nuclear 'dust', is a real challenge. However, the US is ballz deep now, he might have no option - the guy has painted himself into a corner. Iran used an intermediate range ballistic missile to strike Diego Garcia. Iran does possess platforms that could carry a nuclear warhead - however, presently Iran lacks the technical ability to miniaturize such a warhead...........no question who the target would be with the limited range of the IRBM. No, Iran does not possess Inter-Continental-Ballistic-Missiles. The R&D for ICBM is very transparent - test firing? NK's Hwasong-18 ICBM development was tracked throughout. (downrange launches) HK developed the ability to miniaturize the Nuke warhead about the same time as the successful test shots. The H18 has the capability to strike any US Continental target with a nuke warhead. All (Global) weapon states except Pakistan and NK are confirmed to have deployed MIRV missile systems. North Korea and Iran maintain a cooperative and strategic relationship wrt missile development.
