I applaud your idealism ............ however, 'what is going on' is fed to them - lies repeated become truths? We both realize that the so-called realpolitik could not be successful without lies, damn lies and statistics. 😁 It works. Idealism is great, however, as it approaches reality the costs become prohibitive in terms of winning. I agree with you in respect that elections have consequences and the person to blame isn't 'them' it's the 'royal' us. The degree of ignorance in the electorate is something to be exploited - ask any hack. It is not going to change - this is not grandpa's political environment.
