  1. re: They are highly expensive and inefficient Haig was anachronistic, dismissive of technology.
  2. ........I feel charitable today...😄 Field Marchal Sir Douglas Haig was the C-n-C of the BEF during WWI Haig is quoted as saying machine guns were overrated during WWI, especially against mounted calvary, and criticized tactics that relied heavily on automatic gunfire rather than infantry assaults. Haig is also quoted as saying similar re: aircraft – overrated. Haig is the design genius of the Battle of the Somme – 1 million casualties in 4 months. BEF? ‘Lions led by donkeys’ / German The point is, technology waits for no man.
  3. re: They are highly expensive and inefficient I think that's what they told the Wright Bros. about the airplane. 😁 WWI Generals re: automatic weapons?
  4. ........... Kanada would likely be just a territory until the Canadiana is bred out. As a territory, Kanistan would be represented in Congress by non-voting members- like the ersatz Americans in Puerto Rico. 😁
  5. Trump has unveiled plans for his proposed presidential library in Miami. ‘over the past six months, I have poured my heart and soul into this project” / Eric Trump “this landmark on the water in Miami will stand as a lasting testament to an amazing man, an amazing developer and the greatest President our Nation has ever know” / Eric Trump Bing Videos
  6. The 2027 budget request for NASA cuts funding by 23 percent and reduces the Science Mission Directorate by 46 percent, down to $3.9 billion. To put those figures in context, the first week of the US's war against Iran cost well over $10 billion Meanwhile, a spokesman for China's crewed space programme has stated that China was 'on track' to launch it lunar mission by 2030. Artemis III, is scheduled to send the first U.S. astronauts to the lunar surface since Apollo 17 / 1972. Scheduled to launch in 2027. This is going to be interesting.
  7. .............maybe China can build one that works for ya? 😁
  8. BREAKING NEWS The United States is fk'd up economically, politically, morally, ethically, racially and religiously! 😨 Holy fk, Batman - any good news? 2, 4, 6 year terms.
  9. haha Oil is Oil? ah, no.
  10. ............. and arguably spent wisely and efficiently? A one-payer cannot be efficient if the 'model' cannot keep pace (or wont') with the consumer.
  11. sound socialist. Many would rather die, free! 😄 ............... and penniless.
  12. Thermal solar plant / China China is the leader, by far, in the development of green energy and E.V.
  13. Oh, indeed - but that does not change the fact that the global demand for crude is declining. Gasoline is political, purchasing it is not elective as say, a plastic bag. The a$$ will come out of the petrodollar - it's seen as U.S. imperialism. (it is) With the U.S. debt at 40 trillion and expected to double in 25 years, it is cause for concern. And that, is why 'bone spurs' is so concerned about the bond markets - not to mention the ME.
  14. Indeed, the U.S. is a net exporter of crude and petroleum products but it is not a net exporter of (desirable?) crude oil - big difference. In 2025 the U.S. imported 6.2 million barrels of crude oil / day but exported 4 million barrels / day of crude. Domestically, the U.S. produces ‘light and sweet’ crude, U.S. refineries aren’t ‘tooled’ to process it – the refineries are tooled for ‘heavy sour’ crude from the middle east / Canada. Ergo, pipelines? Retooling the refineries is economically a non-starter and would take years to complete. The mismatch keeps the U.S. from simply using its own crude production to serve all domestic needs. And that is why the price at the pump keep rising and will continue to rise as long as supply is limited. Prices rise, inflation surges .........
  15. 😄 ................... indeed, Quebec's diverse industries, strategic location, ice free ports, international connections as an ersatz nation, cosmopolitan population, twice Alberta's GDP, established political networks in Ottawa and a history of talking the walk of secession, - really don't count for much. 😅 Trump? Why do you think the 'frenchies' are standing at 25 percent supporting secession - but that always goes up/down like a whore's drawers. The PQ is standing in the wings to take power. Alberta is landlocked, they have oil and Ag, half of Quebec's GDP!, minute population that is extremely scattered. The global demand for oil is decreasing and that decline will accelerate. Should add that the petrodollar (international surplus) is going to become far less attractive - this will be a huge concern for the U.S. in the near future. (20 years) Alberta's premier is playing a masterful game with Ottawa tho ......... all bluff, but I applaud her strategy. Quebec's notion of statehood might be foolish ............. but not to the same degree as Alberta's. 😄 Beef - meh! Luv to get one of these bad-boys in my freezer.
  16. .............. relax ...... Vegas is giving better odds on Quebec ...... where support for secession stands at about 25 percent. 😁
  17. In 1974, Saudi Arabia struck a deal with the United States to price its oil sales in dollars - other country's followed. Oil revenues flowed back into U.S. treasuries, stocks, and real estate—giving America cheap financing and underpinning the dollar’s reserve‐currency status – a country needed a USD reserve to pay for its oil. The so-called 'Petrodollar" was born. However, in 2025, the Saud’s chose not to renew the agreement. The requirement that buyers pay only in dollars quietly lapsed. Across markets, the world’s largest oil exporter will accept other currencies. This move severs an invisible safety net that has buffered U.S. deficits for half a century. The impact along with an ever-increasing decline in oil demand will likely have a severe impact on the U.S.......... going forward. The U.S. debt now stands at around a staggering 40 trillion bucks -140 percent over the country’s GDP – by 2050 it is projected to grow to around 90 trillion! Pundits agree that economics, particularly spending on defense, was the primary reason the USSR collapsed.
  18. Iran (coup) 1951, Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Balkans, Greenland, Canada, global tariffs as leverage for political advantage, Venezuela, Columbia, Panama, Mexico, Spain, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Europe in toto, Japan in toto, China - pre WWII. left alone? History says otherwise in CAPs and UNDERLINED.
  19. ................ supposedly the concern is with his own oligarchs - not Ukraine!😄
