Leftist Violence in Chicago....Again
LinkSoul60 replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Because democrats tend to live in the cities where Trump gets his vote from the rural. Commonality for sure it's in the red States he's not addressing. -
Leftist Violence in Chicago....Again
LinkSoul60 replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Absolutely it has. When Trump left office the first time it was the most divided it's been since the civil war. That's just the start of his lasting legacy. I don't follow all your bills closely enough but thought it was a republican controlled house and senate? Kudos to the democrats though for trying to block his scatterbrained ideas. Bang on... the guys got an ego. The thing is he brings it on himself pretty much daily, don't you think. -
Trump's Epstein note is Real
LinkSoul60 replied to Boges's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Since you're tapping out and can't answer... According to Grok (for what he's worth) ; Biden’s failure to release the Epstein files is relevant to the Bondi-Patel memo because both reflect the same legal barriers (grand jury secrecy, victim privacy, and judicial oversight) that prevent unilateral disclosure. The memo’s decision to halt further releases continues the secrecy maintained under Biden, though it may also signal a strategic choice by the new administration to avoid political fallout. Unsigned memos are common in public-facing DOJ-FBI communications, and the use of agency seals in the July 2025 memo aligns with standard practice, though it does little to quell public skepticism about transparency in the Epstein case. https://x.com/i/grok/share/U8xoYOwGckcOdveZgASvCCYW3 So back to the question... why do you think he's not releasing it? It was part of his campaign schtick of getting to released, now it's a hoax. Wonder why... -
I'd bet that Uber Eats would disagree with you, unless you're mentoring your Canadian born children to be Uber Eats drivers. Companies have been investing in better technology since technology was introduced as a way to improve their productivity and business. What do you consider the 'underclass'.... the Uber Eats drivers, Amazon drivers, hotel cleaners, hospital and school cleaners, etc, etc? I have no idea what wages are for any of those jobs, but can safely assume their paying their fair share of taxes. Small business thinks the government isn't doing enough. I'm all for funding wisely for the organizations you mention. That's what they've been doing, and you guys have complaining about. So you're good with doing away DEI if it means companies don't recognize women, a persons age or disability? It's not about promoting a person because of their identity, it's about including everyone. That's just taking a page out of Trump. You're suggesting being political so they're not on the opposite side of the political fence. No wonder you like angry Pierre.

Leftist Violence in Chicago....Again

According to USFacts Cook County (Chicago and metro area) it's 15.8 per 100,000. Los Angeles and Cook Counties are also the two most populated counties in the country. When adjusted for population, Cook County’s 15.8 homicides per 100,000 people ranked 17th among 63 large-central metro US counties with reliable data, and Los Angeles County’s 6.8 ranked 37th. That's actually pretty good (if you can say that) when you compare it to some red cities like New Orleans (46), Memphis (41), St Louis (38), etc, etc, etc... County Major City Homicides per 100,000 people Homicides Orleans Parish, LA New Orleans 46 46 166 Shelby County, TN Memphis 41 41 372 372 St. Louis 38 38 106 Baltimore 36 36 205 205 Washington, DC 36 36 244 244 Jefferson County, AL Birmingham 28 28 187 187 Philadelphia County, PA Philadelphia 26 26 402 402 https://usafacts.org/articles/which-cities-have-the-highest-murder-rates/ Red, blue, green or purple... fair to say the US has a problem here. -
I'm not an economist but simple math isn't it.... lagging productivity, weaker investment, more people = lesser GDP per capital. What's your solution. Deport them all, or get to the root of the issues to help improve our economy?
-
I gave you facts which are not at all difficult to find... you just choose not to look at them. We've had stagnant productivity and weak business investment. The higher number of immigration levels has impacted the GDP but end of day, immigration is not stopping and will continue to be level set to the needs of provinces and business.

Leftist Violence in Chicago....Again

It has nothing to do with Biden. This is all Trump, his ego and quest to divide the country. -
Leftist Violence in Chicago....Again

Disagree. Governors and Mayors say they don't need but Trump needs to further divide the country for his own self-serving interests. -

How about St Louis, or Detroit, or New Orleans, or Atlanta, or Memphis, or Kansas City, or Cleveland, etc, etc, etc.... Same thing, democrats? -
Major CFL Rule Changes: Like or Dislike?
LinkSoul60 replied to BeaverFever's topic in Travel, Leisure and Sports
They would know because it's known fact the best football players are playing in the NFL because of the larger talent pool they have. Most certainly a CFL player with an average salary of ~$73K would be playing if the NFL if they could make the roster, but the majority can't. I definitely disagree on an NFL not being in the physical condition or have the same agility. If the league was made up of NFL players playing the same CFL game you would see a markedly better product. Errors, fumbles, drop passes, etc are irrelevant only because it's not an apples to apples comparison if not playing against the same level of competition. To each their own... I've mentioned why I believe the NFL is a vastly better league and you stated the case for the CFL. We differ there but end of the day we'll still enjoy watching the different leagues regardless. Bottom line is that obviously the league needs to do something to change the narrative and get more people, specifically younger people engaged for it to be solvent. I'm not passionate about the league but certainly want to see it survive for the long term. I don't know what the answer is but if changing the game more to an "NFL style' to engage the younger generation and changing the Canadian quota and US cap why not...it will still be the Canadian Football League and will provide that opportunity for players, enjoyment for fans, and revenue for owners. -

So you've never been right... You should go there, it's a fantastic city. Any comments on the highest crime states all being red, and why Trump isn;t going to those states/cities? -

If people are innocent they have nothing to hide. The files would show that. -
Trump's Epstein note is Real
LinkSoul60 replied to Boges's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Personally, I think Trump will be shamed if the truth ever comes out, which he's trying his damndest for it not to. Would you be surprised of any immoral activities by Trump if that was to come out? -
Trump's Epstein note is Real

And this from the guy who doesn't like Trump, but strangely defends every single thing about him 😂 Typically can't answer a question... Why doesn't Trump want them released? -
Trump's Epstein note is Real

I'm guessing Trump is named throughout the files and wants to be spared of that humiliation. His victims want it released so do it. -
Leftist Violence in Chicago....Again
LinkSoul60 replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
They wouldn't pull back law enforcement funding for their own states/cities where crime is most prevalent. Doesn't matter, Trump's only trying to screw over democrats to create more divisiveness. -
Trump's Epstein note is Real
LinkSoul60 replied to Boges's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
You would think that after months of accusations and innuendo an innocent person would want something released if they knew it would vindicated them. That's only common sense and self-preservation. Wonder why Trump doesn't want the files released? -
It's pure ignorance to think that immigration doesn't help drive our economy and keep it sustainable. Most of us are too young to remember, but we did have a conservative government once upon a time. Even back in the old days of Stephen Harper that government was allowing 236K in his first year and gradually increasing to 271K by 2015. It's not a liberal or conservative thing....it's necessary thing to sustain our population and economy. End of story....

Have you ever been to Chicago? I doubt that but if you had, I'd doubt very much you would say it's 'worse than most third world countries'.
