This isn't Carney's first rodeo. He knows how to play the guy. How can you possibly say 'Carney will agree to whatever it takes to get a deal'? Really, then why isn't there a deal by now... The facts suggest that Carney has held his ground, has not bowed to US demands and is not going to agree to anything unless it's to Canada's benefit. How do the facts of what we know suggest otherwise? Trump has a lot of pressure from States and business coming at him over his stance with Canada and tariff policy which is obviously helping our position. This will get hammered out and faith in Carney to get Canada the best deal possible.

Your trolling is getting real weak... You're running out of material and just pulling things out of your ass now. Fell into your trap door, sure 😂 Now you're talking about vegetarians, fish (which vegetarians don't eat) and curry... Not sure what that has to do with population growth, but suppose you would know the curry well given Indians account for the second largest group of immigrants in the US behind Mexicans. Pick up your trolling will ya... maybe start talking about the great things Trump has done with his drill baby drill energy policy and tariffs?

We're not going to stop talking about pipelines until if/when a northern project happens. I'm actually a bit surprised there isn't more talk of the West to East pipeline... Eby is NDP so no need to follow the liberal party line around energy. Im not a fan but he does have a point... Smth only has this out there to see if the private sector would invest in this project so there's not much for him to say without pissing off the FN's who don't want this. If there was private sector money coming forward he said he'd work with AB. Moot points if there's a tanker ban so that's on Carney's government to have those discussions with FN's, who are opposed. BC has active LNG and mining projects with opportunity for expanding so he's championing those while cSmith champions for AB. Go figure...

lol... It's not just about Uber Eats, it's about every other business that needs employees to keep them viable, which virtually all do. What do you mean they're not buying much... They work just like us and I'd have to think they eat, drink, dress, drive, and consume goods just like we do. Many are homeowners so they pay property taxes like everyone else to fund those roads and services. If they rent whomever is the landlord is obviously profiting from the rent and is paying those property taxes. So you'd suggest no immigration and let businesses collapse at some point because of lack of workers, but we'd find other alternatives elsewhere? That's not how it works and makes absolutely no sense. No immigration would ruin the economy. No, it's called including everyone. Even a Groot... Trump doesn't care what you think. You served your purpose in voting for him and are no longer needed.

Don't be too surprised, I'm aware. Would we benefit the same with LNG exports...sure we would and some suggest more opportunity and a 'cleaner' alternative to oil. Both Eby and Smith are playing to their provinces voters and Eby has 2 LNG projects in construction with 5 in development. Smith wants the oil pipeline but could also benefit from LNG exports coming out of AB. The US will probably always be our largest customer because of our landlocked proximity and the size of their economy. The TMX pipeline isn't at full capacity yet but allowing suppliers to get to Asian markets at higher prices. Building a refinery is not likely at all. High cost, regulatory challenges and a longer term declining demand for fuel make investment unlikely.

They speak for BC which a pipeline would obviously pass through. There is a reason environmentalists and ordinary care about mother earth. We're ruining it and want to see it sustainable for the unlimited number of generations that come after us. Question though... How does a northern pipeline benefit you and Canada as a whole?

71% support in your own party is hardly 'pretty good'. I'd call it so so. You assume far too often and naturally fall back to the 'believing what media' told me because it doesn't align with your thoughts. Info is not hard to find on the radio, print or television.... There are factions within the BC Conservative Party clashing about whether Rustad should remain leader or not and personally, I get the feeling he doesn't survive.

There's a good argument that we should be expanding our LNG exports rather than the non-stop talk about an oil pipeline. With tanker bans in place for the coast those need to be addressed by federal government before this goes anywhere, if it even does... Both Smith and Eby are doing nothing more than posturing for their provinces.

Imagine if Governor Poolaver was there with Trump getting his ass handed to him... Not sure what you were watching but sure seemed to me that Trump has a lot of respect for Carney who hasn't bent to his wishes and appears ready to get things ironed out and behind them for now. If it's not the right deal Carney will and should walk. Don't let optimism get in the way Shady. Keep hoping for Canada to fail.

Even you're smart enough to understand there is a significant level of personality, business, trade and financial acumen differences between Carney and Poilievre. You just can't admit it because of your devotion to the Maga narrative that your guy has tried to bring to Canada...with epic failure that had in him losing a 25% poll lead and the consistent disapproval ratings he gets. Embarrassing... Otherwise, I think he's the right guy for you though.
