Yes, the main reason for the investment is energy independence and a byproduct of that is reducing carbon emissions. Not complicated.... You're wasting time.... get me those affordability facts.
-
And a very valid reason to lead the world in the transition to clean energy.... don't you think. Find those affordability cites yet?
-
Who is bragging? You interpret the fact that China is lapping the US in some critical categories as people are 'bragging'. Citing facts is not bragging, it's simply showing facts. You don't accept facts if they don't align with your way of thinking?

Lol... so you agree that your country has lost its morals. No debate there. Get over the I hate Trump thing. So what, I'm in the vast majority of people here and even if I weren't, could care less. Your TDS doesn't let you think properly.... I've said repeatedly that I like the US, always have and always will (?), but yes, I find Trump to be a piece of shît. So what....get over it. -
You also ignore the fact they're still an enveloping nation who has 1.4 billion people. You also ignore the fact that they far and away lead the world in clean energy investment.

You need to take your red hat off when you think about these things... Spin it anyway you want to but it's not going to change the fact that global and US investment in clean and renewable energy has and continues to be double that of conventional energy with $2.3 trillion invested last year. Does the investment direction give you any clues as to what the future of energy is? If not, your red hat is too tight. -

Not yet, but I watched 'Game Changers' a number of years ago that touched on it. You don't honestly believe that fossil fuels are the future do you... and I mean even the short term future. -

Elections have consequences, and electing a morally broke self-serving narcissistic that is void of ethics only add's to the decline. Talk to your fellow citizens about it, not me.... One thing that many Americans can agree on, even in an era of deep political polarization, is that our country is in a moral free fall. In survey after survey, US adults of all ages, education levels, political affiliations, and religious backgrounds say that people are less kind, honest, generous, and respectful than they used to be. Americans Think The U.S. Is Losing Its Moral Authority, New Poll Shows ByMary Whitfill Roeloffs, Forbes Staff. Jan 09, 2026 at 02:21pm EST TOPLINE The number of Americans who believe the United States is the moral leader of the world has plummeted over the last decade, a new Ipsos poll shows, with Democrats and independents the most skeptical of the country’s position. KEY FACTS In a survey conducted in early December and released Friday, only 39% of respondents said they believe America is the world's moral leader, a 21-percentage-point drop from the 60% who believed it to be true in 2017. The perception is sharply divided among party lines, with 64% of Republicans still believing the U.S. is the moral leader compared to 24% of Democrats and 35% of Independents. -
You're telling me that someone who posts 3 pages of the same repetitive comment isn't a psycho? Every tax payer can and should hold the government accountable if they choose to, but you and your band of complainers obviously still enjoy crying about Trudeau despite him being gone for a year. Bîtch away.... depending on the mood I'll either continue laughing at you, or continue to shake my head.

Try losing the liberal stuff... Carney clearly isn't Trudeau regardless of how you want to spin it. Hindsight is great... if we all had that luxury we'd be as informed and wealthy beyond our wildest dreams. The fact is that investment in our auto industry took a beating during Harper's term and has continued to trend downwards. That's fact. Other than caving to Trump's demand to bend over and saying everything is the liberals fault, I'm not sure what your strategy is. Anyone without a backbone can cry uncle and give away the farm, but that's not why we elected this government. -

What the hell is that supposed to mean? The cite was straightforward... Clean and renewable energy investment and adoption is growing globally, which includes the US. Your demented fossil fuel champion is only a small blip in the grand scheme of things, so enjoy inhaling the exhaust fumes while you can. -

Read what I said.... not what you want to believe I said. Tell me where I'm wrong in that opinion... Yep, I don't like Trump at all and find him to be a narcissistic self-serving individual that is void of morals and decency. Same as above... tell me where I'm wrong in that opinion. -
No I'm not missing point the point. I know exactly whats happened this last 10 years but again, I have better things to do with my life than cry and complain like you clowns do day in and day out...hell, hour by hour for that matter. "Adults' don't constantly cry and complain every day. Children do, which is exactly how a number of you out here act each other and every day. Yeah, I'm going golfing. Hopefully Canada will still be standing when I'm done the round. Get a life...

He is, and like all good business people is soliciting advice from experts in their particular business fields. What BS can you come up with for his engaging high profile business leaders from the Canadian sectors that are/will be most affected by US trade demands, and why do you see this a problem?

Your point is highly inaccurate.... The "Break-Even" Point: Despite the higher initial footprint, EVs "pay back" this extra debt through lower operating emissions. This break-even point typically occurs within 1.4 to 1.9 years (approximately 15,000–25,000 miles) of driving under average U.S. conditions.
