  1. I think it depends. In most cases I think they are discernibly male or female with certain mutations. But even if not, they would belong to no discernible sex. It is not a third sex. It is merely a mutation between two sexes. There is no third set of genitalia involved. if I were born in the vicinity of Chernobyl and had a third arm would I be human? If so, would the statement that humans have two arms become incorrect? But once again, this is not what the topic of this thread is about. And once again, I think you know that. Do you think CBC was out of line for asking this question to Pierre?
  2. Among the list of 72 genders there are multiple ones where a person's gender changes in certain situations.. sometimes you might be more one gender than the other. For instance there is one called mirrorgender where, as I understand it, your gender changes based on the people surrounding you. I assume the idea is that you mirror the predominant gender around you.
  3. If it's not an issue for you, don't worry about it, herbie. Were you this upset when CBC asked Pierre Poilievre the same question? It's a very relevant issue to many female athletes.
  4. No. What I said was intersex is not a sex. It's a mutation. I'm sure it is a very confusing condition to deal with, but a mutation does not constitute an entire sex. If an M and M comes out at the factory with green and red coloring and is slightly misshapen it is not a new type of M and M.
  5. Uhm, excuse me, I identify as a cyclops. Take your bigotry elsewhere.
  6. They are an amalgamation of the two sexes. That's why it's called intersex. And I really don't think that's what the question was about. Do you?
  7. 72 is the most common number I see. Here is one of them. Caelgender. https://www.medicinenet.com/what_are_the_72_other_genders/article.htm
  8. So they don't have a new third form of genitalia? Intersex is proof of the binary nature of sex. It is an extremely rare medical condition where a person is born with characteristics of one of the two sexes. It is an anomaly. Not a new sex. As I understand it most intersex people speak out against intersex being characterized as it's own sex. Furthermore, I am not denying that these cases exist. I can fully sympathize with them. But I think you know that this is not what people who are concerned about. Only a very small percentage of the people who claim to identify as another gender actually suffer from this extremely rare condition. The second question Carney was asked brings up the topic of women's sports. Have you ever seen that 'trans woman' in Canada that started dominating women's powerlifting? And this goes beyond sports as well. If someone can simply claim to be of another gender, and we are told things like 'trans women are real women' then the implications of that are endless.
  9. Absolutely, I can understand that. I liked a lot of older music as well. But I didn't like much of what my grandfather listened to. I was a 90s teen, but I listened to mostly 60s and 70s music back then. But I was a minority. What stands out to me now is how much more common it is for kids to be into music that is 40 - 50 years old. I think a lot of it is that as far as the music industry is concerned rock n roll is dead. Or just any kind of band music is dead. I mean of course it still exists but it's very indie. A lot of kids still love that raw powerful music.
  10. It may come as a surprise to you but the world does not revolve around you and your feelings about what you need to know. There are other people. Were you criticizing CBC when they asked Pierre the same question? Are you referring to intersex, for example?
  11. Not really. The debates were translated live. The voice they had overdubbed for Carney actually sounded quite like him. They all had male voices except for Jagmeet. Or maybe that was a male. Actually it sounded a bit like a man who may have a deep voice but had also huffed some helium. Really rough night for Jagmeet all around. Rebel News, Northern Perspective and a bunch of other youtube channels had it.
  12. I think he did quite well. But that's just my opinion. I wasn't paying close attention either, because it ran into the first period of the Habs game. There were lots of independent media sources streaming the debate on youtube. Jagmeet got told to be quiet at one point and then they silenced his mic. Later on he started to complain about it as well.
  13. He hasn't actually said there are two genders. He said "in terms of sex there are two". The left sees sex and gender as distinct.
  14. QueenMandy said he couldn't vote for Poilievre because of this.
  15. Well, yeah, that and Tay Tay. That's what is left of the industry. And it's not like older people hear this and find it shocking the way they did with music years ago. Rockstars were bad and scared your parents. There are no Jim Morrisons or Axl Roses nowadays. Maybe that's a good thing, too. The 20th century rockstar was glorified for behaving terribly. But it really seems like music has gone nowhere. I don't remember ever sitting in my grandfather's car and asking him to turn up whatever he was listening to.
  16. For a decade or more I notice that a lot of kids like music that is quite old. I don't think music has really changed much since the 90s. There isn't a big industry for rock music anymore, but kids still love it. I mean Metallica has been around for over 40 years now. It wasn't very common to like 40 year old bands when I was younger. In the 1900s we had big changes in music every decade. Now there is no generation gap. I have a great nephew who is going to see Metallica at the end of this month. He loves Nirvana, too.
  17. Well, I wasn't being very serious anyway. Just pointing out that John denied that. But I'm sure LSD had a lot to do with that song.
  18. If it was a choice between them and the Liberals, I'd vote for Metallica too.
  19. Exactly what he is doing. He is promoting the right ideas. I think possibly the conservatives have to find more ways to counter the mainstream narrative. I am a maritimer. I know tons of people who vote Liberal, who if you listed out all the policies of both parties would probably pick the conservatives hand down. I hear it all the time. They literally complain about all the very things the Liberal party pushes. Or in some cases they aren't aware of some of those things. And when you tell them they aren't sure whether or not to believe you. There are a whole bunch of conservatives in the Atlantic provinces who have no idea they are conservatives. Well sure. He probably does. And I am not discounting the importance of that, but it's not the most important thing.
  20. To me, Pierre has always come across as a perfectly nice guy as well. He is not introverted either. A lot of it is spin. The media says he is angry, and people believe it. The media says Trudeau has sunny ways, and people believe it. I mean part of that reason Pierre was always attacking Trudeau and the Liberals is because he is the opposition leader. If you watch parliament, Pierre never seemed angry when doing so. In fact, most of them time he would be calm or even smiling while criticizing the Liberals. Trudeau would actually get visibly angry and flustered with Pierre. But the narrative is always that Pierre is angry. A lot of people don't watch parliament so they don't know otherwise. We prefer the term everypeople persona. Pierre grew up in an everypeople family. He draws tons of everypeople to his rallies and he takes time to engage with them personally. Carney is the guy who locked out fishermen.
  21. One thing I will give Doug Ford is when it comes to projecting that friendly guy image he is really good at it. I could see him hugging and kissing all the grandmas on the campaign trail. And it's kind of authentic because I am sure that even if he wasn't a politician he would still hug and kiss your grandma. Also there is the fact that he looks like a giant teddy bear. So your grandma probably wants to hug him back.
  22. I never watched that show. I might have seen some of the early episodes. I'm not a huge fan of that song, but it really does sound modern for it's time.
