The problem with that was that the money that flowed in from the lifted sanctions allowed Iran to build reactors and enrich uranium that they wouldn't have been able to afford. Further, they didnt follow the restrictions on their nuclear program. The JCPOA was worth less than the paper they were written in. Far less.
