Not surprised. That was one of the worst coaching decisions ever. I can't believe the coach never called a timeout with 30 seconds left. Additionally the bears are 4-7 now, after starting at 4-1.

The people trying to cross the border, are mainly Indians that are doing so, due to perceived better economic opportunities. Mainly Sikhs and Hindus. https://www.npr.org/2024/09/10/nx-s1-5091259/indian-migrants-immigration-canada-northern-border-illegal-us-customs-and-border-protection The only way Canada will be able to stop this, is to crack down, and make sure that the 3.9 million temporary residents either go through the proper legal channels to become full fledged Canadian citizens, or leave the country when their permits expire. I am a little irked, that we allow so many Indian nationals to enter here, and they repay us by trying to illegally enter the US, due to perceived better employment opportunities. It's not like they are entering the US due to being persecuted, or fleeing from certain death. However, the idea that the majority of the people attempting to cross are "hardcore criminals" is false. One can argue that they are technically criminals for crossing the border illegally, but then again one can point out that both alcohol and marijuana were illegal at various points in Canadian history, and that did not really stop anyone from using it, nor did it make users "hardcore criminals." -

Horrible time management by the Bears, who came back from a 23-7 deficit. Lions improve to 11-1, clinch a playoff spot, and are 1st in the league.

The problem lies with the Democratic Party itself. In the past 3 elections, They have ran with candidates that were far from ideal. I've heard unconfirmed reports that Biden's inner circle knew he was suffering from dementia, as early as 2022. Speculation is, that Jill Biden encouraged Joe not to step down. This proved to be disastrous. It would not have been the first time a US President has had early onset dementia kick in before they left office (Reagan was showing symptoms in his last year of office). Biden really should have announced he was not going to run in late 2023. Harris, in retrospect, like Hilary Clinton, was a weak candidate.

Actually, that was the UN. I think the first acts of the United Nations was to try and resolve the conflicts in Germany (USA vs Soviet Union), Palestine (UN Partition 1947), and South Asia (partition of India, and the creation of the Muslim states). For all their faults, I hope the UN does not go the way of the League of Nations, however I am not optimistic. -
As of today, Trump received 76.9 million votes, opposed to Harris 74.6 million. So realistically, 6.7 million people who voted for Biden in 2020, either did not voted, switched over to Trump or a third party candidate. The 14 million figure was at the end of Election night, and did not account for all the votes, especially in California and the West Coast states, where the Democrats won.
