Those Damned Illegals
Caswell Thomas replied to NYLefty's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Most if you gave standard homes, some perhaps in so-called mobile homes that never actually go anywhere. I live in the top suite of a hotel. What I have observed of the employees is that they are all illegals and despite the online and television commercials saying , even bragging about their managers inspecting every room for cleanliness and safety, of 7 managers in a row in the past 6 years, none of them inspect anything, they push their employees to get green cards but the employees never do, knowing they can use the same excuse on the next manager. And, they are also all employed in second jobs, and most of those are finding what they steal from guest rooms and your luggage. Its a big business, they are very organized. Very much like Trumps criminals posing as representatives of the people, but instead are ripping it off for whatever they can steal of our Democracy. Overwhelmingly the support Trump, they recognize a fellow criminal. So..yes, there are some illegals here who make an honest living here, who take jobs no American would do, but there are, just as the Right contends, some who come here just to rip us off and they use America as their criminal career education. If we don't fix our borders, we will continue to populate the criminal rackets with new blood and the ones who will be the victims will be us and our children. So yes, put Trump and his cronies away, but lets not invite others to take his place. -
Those Damned Illegal Aliens

As soon as I saw your independent, non bias source begin a paragraph "The Left advocates..." I knew the source was heavily bias in favor of the Right, and as such not worth much as a source of any actual news. -

Proud Boy Enrique Tarrio Gets 22 Years

Good, best place for him but you know Trump will likely pardon him to be the new chief of the 2024 Potus Gestapo...excuse me, Secretary of State if Orange Hair wins. Hopefully the more rational branch of the Right will not want "that" painting their legacy. -
Joe Biden AKA Robert L. Peters
Caswell Thomas replied to West's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Ghosting, or "also known as " aliases are not limited to POTUS , many people create false identities to shield them from harm, in fact it's a regular thing in many companies to never give out an employees real name to any caller if that caller is seeking redress for any perceived wrong or any form of remuneration or advanced money ( such as an insurance settlement, etc.) because past experience has shown that such persons sometimes will resort to violent acts against those employees if they don't get what they want. Collections agencies also regularly employ people who alter their names or assume aliases because such jobs can be seen as a threat to a others feeling and of safety. So, holding the President of a country's feet to the fire because he uses aliases is ludicrous. -
We have, in my opinion, let these free traders of our personal information become our masters and now they think they own us, to do with as they want with no consequences. This IS something the FCC and the CFPB should be looking into, in fact JUMPING into, to protect Americans. Think! How many of these customers who relied on their phones for getting them at least the basic level of emergency care during inclement times or weather now doesn't even have that lifeline available to them and why? Because a major corporation decided, without any notice to their customer base, to discontinue their route to emergency services for the sake, solely, of their own PROFIT? Where are the Class Action Attorneys in this!

Recent major outages where tens of thousands have found themselves removed from wireless contracts and their phones made useless by the actions of wireless companies who merge with other companies or drop coverage areas as not profitable enough or themselves are dropped from financial association partnerships which leave thousands of former customers without phone service abruptly and who never received notice from such companies in advance...should there be a Government Inquiry or Intervention or prevention of such shut downs in such mergers or displacements where they greatly affect the Public Safety? Example: Recently Cricket Wireless customers ( Cricket is owned by AT &T and offers discounted phone plans) experienced this and when they called Cricket from other phones or tried to reach Crickets chat agents were told only " your service plan has ended due to our association with Amazon also ending"! Further investigation found no further explanation, no apologies given, in fact no notice at all in advance, just people on their way to work or school.finding out their phone wasn't working only when they tried to use it, and Amazon's customer service entire system by phone or chat shut completely down. Nothing further is known other than any questions from irate former customers are being ignored and yet every other wireless company is now suddenly active and offering special deals, arguing they all.knew of the shutdown well in advance. So, should these businesses be controlled by the federal government?

Should the Working Class rule society?
Caswell Thomas replied to Deluge's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Though the well.skilled working people vote and support their candidates , that is not the same as being as qualified to hold office as individually chosen political leader s since working people are rather single minded, not globally minded and you must be the latter to understand the responsibilities of Public Office. -

"Renewal is needed...but what is the chance of it?". ... Not much while we, the Intelligent remain safe in our chairs at our electronic eyes and ears and do nothing but discuss and debate HERE what needs to be done. It should not need to take a military mind to see that the GOP has been acting in its leadership the past twenty years, and more accelerated in the past five years, as 5th Columnists, that is an enemy army of financial scammers, social unrest creators and terrorist participants ( or did you think all these Armed Shooters attacking us openly in our cities, churches and schools were not coordinated? ) Face the truth...we are already under attack. We have been now for twenty years. Red China started throwing out such 'flags' when it began building artificial reefs, then building air strips on them, declaring them part of Red Chinese territories and cutting open long held Open Sea trade routes between free nations but especially ours with those smaller Pacific Rim countries., then making moves on Taiwan and lately treating both Japan and the Philippines. Meanwhile Russia drains our strategic defense ammunition re supplies and stockpiles in its U. S. Supported war with Ukraine, and creates tensions deliberately between the major political.parties stirring up and recreating racial hatreds of 100 years ago as weapons to so engage our minds and our psyches that when Red China begins tio physically move against us with its allies, and Russia as well.. we may not have the strength we had before that twenty years of attacks on multiple fronts to confront and defeat them if we do not, NOW, push these Red Chinese and Russian terrorists out of our politics and bond back together to present that United States power we had for our mutual defense, us and our allies, against these very real attackers.

One of my prior careers ( and I had several lengthy ones) was as a senior research editor to a Chief of Staff in Medical Research at a U. S. Government location. I have to agree that you have surmised correctly what Communist China's intent is with researching bacterial deadly diseases in the first place. But lets not call.it a Conspiracy as another responder calls it but what it is, one of multiple shots against our defenses, the same as their cyber hackers, their currency threats recently and their cozying up to the Prior Administration's chief buffoon who, in exchange for the promise likely in getting "exclusive " right to having a hotel property in Beijing and a golf course in Shanghai, gave away, or more likely sold and traded a lot of those classified documents he knowingly stole from the Oval Office when he left, as well as whatever he took before that . Make no mistake, thanks to the GOP's delaying tactics on any intelligent legislature in the past twenty years while they send America downhill and paint multiple targets on us ,and our financial markets, they have been and are now accelerating their attack fronts. We need to dismiss any politician that refuses to discuss concrete structure plans to advance America and it's allies into a much stronger position economically and socially and politically as well as militarily or we should all start learning Mandarin.

Remember Citizens United? Remember OCCUPY? I marched with OCCUPY and railed then against this disastrous U. S. Sup CT decision that allowed unlimited Dark Money to flood our Elections and allowed essentially, the MAFIA to put its own persons in the Oval Office. It took very little time before one of the nations biggest crooks and con men to be funded enough to do it, and you can be sure it was because of Citizens United.

Finally, the People's message to their Courts are finally being heard and acted on. Trump and his team created a lot of flashing lights, garbled and pretentious dialog, tons of lies, basically smoke and mirrors, but in the end, he's fooled no one, his people are going to trials or jailed already, the Big Con is over and Trump , for all his bravado, knows it.

Please note the $10, 000 vase by the Zsolnay family ( of Pecs, Hungary, some emigrated to the USA during the Gilded Age). This immigrant family came to America as simple pottery and ceramic building materials makers, but through excellent marrying off of some daughters to ceramics makers lead to the making of exquisite pieces such as that pictured below. Much of what you see in America was built by immigrants who brought their skills and talents to America...and their creative genius that has allowed America, The Great Melting Pot of Humanity , to be the best of the best, don't deride immigranrs...what have YOU added to America. Think about it.

In response to CdnFox, Section 3 is still as valid as the First Amendment. If you decide the 14th Amendment doesn't count, then you must also claim the 1st Amendment is equally worthless, in which case all of Mr. Trump's claims of its defense of his speech and his many lies goes out the window also. Won't that be interesting?!

I live in California, I also was homeless for some time, thus I can bring a unique perspective to this question and the erroneous statement of reason10 regarding who in our population here lives on the streets and how we/they got there, I also now contribute to and assist a charity (tendertouchministries.org) that deals entirely with California homeless. First most homeless in California dud not get there through their own fault, generally its because something happens that they have no control over that loses them their roof and/or vehicle. From there their job is next to go, then a safe place to sleep, then food becomes a problem, then crime...but not crimes they commit because 88% of them are still trying to make it back to their old lives and have no time for crime. They hand together for safety against what are I known as " the professional homeless" , the ones who gladly take everything they can get from the government but they don't come off the streets except for those handouts and go right back out there to get more, in their off time, they steal, they do drugs, they assault others, they exploit, they graft, they con, they sell snake oil to unsuspecting rubes who think they have found a miracle answer to their financial dreams. The real homeless don't have time for that. They are too busy working the jobs you would never do, living on the paltry food stamps and general relief checks so they can keep pulling on their own bootstraps to get back to a better life. They attend education classes, they work many community clean up hours, they find a way to a new place to live. A lot are children, they go to school while their parents build better lives. In my case, I graduated from a top ten university, disabled in military service, returned home and worked myself into a top paying expert level position, then lost it all in the Countrywide Mortgage Scandal which hit a lot of veterans pretty hard, scammed out of our homes by Big Conservative Banks , worked my way back up again, then The Great Recession ( caused again by Conservative Big Banks), and again on the streets in my car. Worked myself back up again, you know why? Because I don't give up and neither do 90% of the homeless, its the other ten percent, the crooks, the con men, the grifters, the scammers who run phony businesses that defraud the public and suck them dry of their hard earned money supporting a flake and con man, that's who you need to worry about, the Conservative who thinks he knows best how to run this country but treats it like his personal piggy bank.

Since the Republicans won't vote for President Biden and the Democrats won't vote for anyone Republican, perhaps we should all vote for the Independent Party candidate for President except that there doesn't seem to be one. So next we come to .." WHO else is actually running? That brings us to the Libertarian Party ..which, imo would be worse than Trump, the Green Party who's candidates are similar but in a different over the top intensity...of the 30+ other political parties in the country, only 2 are putting presidential candidates on the 2024 ballot and both lean democratic. So who exactly do we vote for if neither of the Big 2 don't make it? Really...who?

We , as a Nation, are facing ridicule by other nations for letting one man intimidate us to ignore our long held laws and criminal justice system common practices in re: Reasons for Contempt of Court . If we are to continue in our national strength of purpose to insist other countries bring their criminals to justice, especially those espousing dictatorships, then we must not allow this former President to get away with breaking our laws repeatedly but instead slap him with the kinds of Contempt Penalties given to others for similar law breaking. In a First Amendment case I was a Paralegal Law Clerk in in California in 1995 , one attorney arrived 15 minutes late to the Hearing, he was fined ( and up-braided by the irritated federal judge) $5000. The attorney however complained of being treated "unfairly" and the fine went up to $10,000. The attorney shut up and sat down. Perhaps if we take the same approach with Mr. Trump he'll get the point.

When are the MAGA's going to wise up and start suing Trump for taking their donations to his alleged run again for the presidency that he instead is using to continue his lavish lifestyle and pay personal legal expenses instead?
Caswell Thomas replied to Caswell Thomas's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Though I tend to agree with beaver fever above, and thanks for the more in depth research than I did ( I beg to apologize for not doing as much of it as I usually do, I was without my laptop for several hours today and the fire tablet is a poor substitute). Anyway my point us should there be a single rightie tightee who thinks beyond the box and realizes he will be paying his 2nd and 3rd mortgage off that he used to get to some rally for a convicted criminal for the next 50 years, he might think to sue Trump while the money's there and, following the rest of the orange hair lemmings, the hole in Trumps Wall of Indifference will become the hole in the levee that breaks it.
