They are ALL superior to blue state colleges. And Obama was the DUMBEST president in history. Doesn't say a lot for Harvard. As far as me being a substitute teacher, I educate more people than blue state colleges. I don't charge a fortune and I don't graduate a bunch of idi0ts who think their LESBIAN DANCE THEORY degree will get them six figure incomes instantly.

American Military in Europe
reason10 replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I think LEGALLY ELECTED PRESIDENT TRUMP had the right idea. If we're going to be in Europe and the far east and middle east protecting them, they should pay us. Or we should just come home. KKKlinton taught us the sad lesson that ALL the military might on the other side of the world as well as having two oceans separate us is NO guarantee that a major act of war will never occur on our shores. KKKlinton IGNORED all the signs of a terrorist act (which took five years to put in motion, four years under his negligent nose) and President inherited a ticking 911 time bomb. Trump's idea of securing the borders is another way of making Americans safe. -
In the real world (not this cyber playground where none of us exist as anything other than text), an apology instantly disarms. It pulls 80 percent of the hot air out of a person's anger. A cop pulls you over for an infraction. You look him in the face and say "I'm sorry" and the dynamic is instantly changed. An apology is a tool. It is powerful. It derails whatever rancor might be steaming your way at light speed. It's simple. You don't have to say "I'm sorry you feel that way." (That basically tells a person you still disagree with him/her.) The simple I'M SORRY is magical. It almost vanquishes all rancor and instantly puts the pressure on the other side to find a way to back out of this diplomatically. On some sub assignments, I'll use "I'm sorry" all day long, especially around elementary school kids. It changes them, instantly.

American Military in Europe
reason10 replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I graduated from a college that believed in ACTUAL education. In the Global Politics Class, we studied the concept of "rapid deployment.' FDR lied to get the United States into the European theater to take down the Democrats ally Adolf Hitler, mostly because the increased military spending would bail the country out from the disaster his New Deal had created. It took a mild depression he inherited and expanded it to disastrous proportions. This created a mentality that if the war is going to be on the other side of the world, it would be best to have the manpower and equipment there as well. Since America (and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic) basically saved Europe from being turned into lampshades by the Nazis, the idea of America being the world's policeman took hold. Democrat presidents likewise got the United States into Asian civil wars, (Truman/Korean War and Johnson/Vietnam War.) The concept of "rapid deployment" means the men and the gear are already in place, in countries were American dollars are spent protecting them. Animal regimes like Iran are prevented from just marching into Israel based on the idea (besides the fact that Israel has one of the most fearsome armies in the world) that it would be simple for American fighter bombers to be scrambled from an aircraft carrier in the Med. (My brother was stationed on the Forrestal in the late Sixties, and he knew for a fact the fighter jets were carrying nukes.) Some people refer to this as the Military Industrial Complex, with all the negative hoopla that comes from the term. Ironically, the last time the American federal budget was balanced was in 1969, during the Vietnam War, when Defense spending was the largest item. Since then, (and you can thank Nixon and a Democrat Congress for this) baseline budgeting has made ENTITLEMENTS the largest budget item there is, and they are growing exponentially. The ultimate irony is that our LAST LEGALLY ELECTED PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP was the beginning of a movement to reverse this trend, even by baby steps. He brought peace to the Middle East (FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ALL OF HUMAN HISTORY) and was hinting that our allies should PAY US for our military presence protecting their countries. He initially was going to target deep pockets like Saudi Arabia and South Korea. Then again LEGALLY ELECTED PRESIDENT TRUMP was the OPPOSITE of a neoconservative. He was opposed to the Iraq War, (a war Democrats voted for, as well as Republicans.) That's probably why he ran afoul of the Bush family in 2016. Well, George Patton wanted to have it out with the USSR while we were there at the end of World War II. He said we have the men and the equipment here now. Let's just get it over with or those commie bastards will come at us later on. -
https://www.foxnews.com/us/massachusetts-church-vandalized-after-lgbtq-pride-flags-removed-stay-gay Massachusetts church vandalized after LGBTQ Pride flags removed: 'Stay Gay' A church in Massachusetts was vandalized with pro-LGBTQ graffiti last week after church members removed Pride flags that were placed on the property by an openly gay couple renting its facility to run a preschool. Pleasant Street Preschool, which had been renting space at Grace Community Church in Marblehead, is run by Mike Richmond and his partner Ryan Thompson, who placed Pride flags on the property to celebrate Pride month, according to local Marblehead Current. Richmond posted a video to Instagram last Wednesday of the church member taking down the flags, who explained she was doing so "because it’s a church that does not celebrate — you can have your time, but we don’t want to celebrate it if we don’t have to." Apparently the queers can be pretty destructive when they don't get their way. "As a gay person who runs a business there, I simply wanted representation and to display this symbol of peace, love and acceptance," Richmond wrote in the post. "I never discussed Pride, the flags or what it means to be gay with the children. They noticed them on the way to the park and thought they were pretty." Earth to QUEER, a rainbow made its first historical/literature appearance after the Flood that wiped out all of the earth with the exception of the beings in Noah's Ark. The RAINBOW was a promise from GOD never to wipe out humanity using flood ever again. (Yeah, I know. Rainbows are supposed to be optical illusions created by the smallest drops of water in large concentrations, creating a prism effect from the sunlight going through it.) Now queers are terrorists. And I maintain...

So if a father is worried that some f@g pedophile might try to victimize his daughters, that father wants to suck a dick? Are you SERIOUSLY that fcking STUPID? Drag queens are pedophiles. They shouldn't be allowed around children, PERIOD.

My Criteria for judging mental Defectives
reason10 replied to NYLefty's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
You are mentally defective. And you're stupid as well. Crawl back under your rock, TROLL. We're done? Does that mean you goose steppers FINALLY got a job and don't need our taxes to finance your food stamps? That would be a positive. -
By the way, boys and girls, I work in the finest public schools in the world: FLORIDA public schools. I see teachers every day. Yes, quite a few of them have left the profession and taken their degrees to more lucrative careers. There is one county where on an average school day there could be as many as 100 open shifts. The teachers who stay behind are the real heroes of education. They view their profession to be more than just a weekly paycheck. They do NOT take any time off from the job, even during lunch. In the teacher's lounges, they do not discuss ANYTHING but the job. (There is one county I'm certified in, where there are fewer shifts for subs. This is because the salary rates have been raised and there are more teachers on the job. Money talks.) Blue state teachers will go on strike and leave their students holding the bag, while they sit on their Nazi asses because some Democrat leadership wants to pressure some group that may have nothing to do with education. Blue states can do that when nobody has the right to work and the ONLY way a person can work a job is through a DEMOCRAT PARTY PAYING UNION. People aren't moving to Florida in droves just because they want to commune with mosquitoes and alligators. They want a better education that this place offers.

No, I accused DeSantis of allowing local fascists to ban books through his "stop woke" bullshit. I never said he was banning individual books himself. Fascists are in blue states. And if you think a Fascist wants to ban GAY PORN, there's something SERIOUSLY wrong with you. But you are more than welcome to come down here, go to a few school districts and find out EXACTLY what books are being banned. Until then, you are just repeating what a lying IDI0T is spewing. However, this was a case of schools putting books on hold because parents were complaining. This is not the same as the district banning books because the government finds them objectionable. How do you know the parents weren't complaining? Calif@gula has some screwed up left wing parents, who sleep with THe COMMUNIST MANIFESTO under their pillow, and find racism EVERYWHERE. Thing is, comparing American literature classics to PORN of any type is ludicrous. In Florida, students are protected from grooming, either from underachieving f@g teachers or Gay Porn books in libraries. We'd like our kids to grow up, maybe make it to the age of 18 before turning into f@gs or getting sex change operations. There's plenty of time for self mutilation later in life. We just believe a child should be allowed to be a child and that the PEDOPHILES should not be allowed anywhere near children.

Seriously? Vanity F@g? What's next? THE VIEW? 1. Florida banned GAY PORN books in public school libraries. California banned TO KILL A MOCKING BIRD, HUCKLEBERRY FINN and OF MICE AND MEN (which are American literature classics.) So you GOOSE STEPPERS have no fcking room to talk. 2. Teacher pay in Florida is by the county. It varies from county to county, which obviously Vanity F@g knows nothing about. The reason teachers are leaving the profession is because the skyrocketing HOUSING prices, thanks to BLUE STATERS wanting to leave those shitholes. They sell houses that cost a lot more and come down here and pay CASH for houses, bidding up the price. 3. Senate Bill 256: https://flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2023/256/?Tab=BillText (b)1. Beginning July 1, 2023, a public employee who desires 77 to be a member of an employee organization must sign and date a 78 membership authorization form, as prescribed by the commission, 79 with the bargaining agent. 80 2. The membership authorization form must identify the name 81 of the bargaining agent, the name of the employee, the class 82 code and class title of the employee, the name of the public 83 employer and employing agency, if applicable, and the amount of 84 the initiation fee and of the monthly dues which the member must 85 pay. 86 3. The membership authorization form must contain the 87 following statement in 14-point type: 88 89 The State of Florida is a right-to-work state. 90 Membership or non-membership in a labor union is not 91 required as a condition of employment, and union 92 membership and payment of union dues and assessments 93 are voluntary. Each person has the right to join and 94 pay dues to a labor union or to refrain from joining 95 and paying dues to a labor union. No employee may be 96 discriminated against in any manner for joining and 97 financially supporting a labor union or for refusing 98 to join or financially support a labor union. 99 100 4. A public employee may revoke membership in the employee 101 organization at any time of the year. Upon receipt of the 102 employee’s written revocation of membership, the employee 103 organization must revoke a public employee’s membership. The 104 employee organization may not limit an employee’s right to 105 revoke membership to certain dates. If a public employee must 106 complete a form to revoke membership in the employee 107 organization, the form may not require a reason for the public 108 employee’s decision to revoke his or her membership. 109 5. An employee organization must retain for inspection by 110 the commission such membership authorization forms and any 111 revocations. 112 6. This paragraph does not apply to members of an employee 113 organization that has been certified as a bargaining agent to 114 represent law enforcement officers, correctional officers, or 115 correctional probation officers as those terms are defined in s. 116 943.10(1), (2), or (3), respectively, or firefighters as defined 117 in s. 633.102. 118 7. The commission may adopt rules to implement this 119 paragraph. 120 Section 2. Effective July 1, 2023, section 447.303, Florida 121 Statutes, is amended to read: 122 447.303 Dues; deduction and collection.— 123 (1) Except as authorized in subsection (2), an employee 124 organization that has been certified as a bargaining agent may 125 not have its dues and uniform assessments deducted and collected 126 by the employer from the salaries of those employees in the 127 unit. A public employee may pay dues and uniform assessments 128 directly to the employee organization that has been certified as 129 the bargaining agent. 130 (2)(a) An Any employee organization that which has been 131 certified as a bargaining agent to represent law enforcement 132 officers, correctional officers, or correctional probation 133 officers as those terms are defined in s. 943.10(1), (2), or Not even close to what Vanity F@g says. This why no one with an education takes those fake news rags seriously.

You've obviously never been anywhere. This shows how all your knowledge is gleaned from online sources. I'VE BEEN TO WEST VIRGINIA. I have family there. I don't believe every place not Florida is a shithole. And there are parts of Florida that are shitholes as well. (Blue areas, like Broward and Orange counties. If you think Boise was a sleepy ranch and farming town, you've never heard of pre-Disney Orlando, which was mostly cattle ranches and orange groves. Today, people are thinking that Orlando wants to resemble Los Angeles, in terms of congestion, traffic, ZERO MIDDLE CLASS, and a bunch of brain dead politicians running it. I don't believe Tennessee is a shithole. I don't believe Texas is a shithole. I don't believe Alabama is a shithole. Ditto with Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Iowa, and the smaller towns in Virginia. Most of Pennsylvania is FARMER BROWN country, but those rubes managed to elect a total REt@rd to the Senate, one who can't even string proper sentences together. I kinda like Ohio, but it's way too expensive to live and the weather there is pretty harsh. Thing is, most of the country is moving to Florida, probably because of our sensible government, low taxes, beautiful weather and superior educated population.

None of those socially promoted mor0ns would pass a Florida third grade exam. You'd be allowed in a Florida public school as a JANITOR if you had the right educational requirements, WHICH YOU DON'T. Florida has the best colleges and the best public schools in the country. Only a LIAR and an IDI0T thinks otherwise.

I could get a lobotomy and I would be as dumb as the goose stepping liberals here. I did a lot of traveling from the early 70s to the mid 80s. I've been to blue states where even in 75 people were wanting to move out of those high cost freezing hell holes. EVERY state I've been to where they had a large union presence has had a higher cost of living. I can tell you've never been to West Virginia and never seen what makes that place such a shithole. Our current unelected Pedophile has waged a war on the coal industry, which pretty much was the lifeblood of West Virginia. So a massive sector of the economy is in danger of being shut down, and you think folks will want to move to that place, where there are few jobs, lousy infrastructure, a high cost of living?

2. Isn't "taking from those who have" the opposite of a laissze-faire economy ? And 'liberal' small-l means someone who supports economic and personal liberty so readjust your use of that word. Nobody here, especially me, is asking for total equality. Back when Ludwig Von Mises wrote Human Action, the word "liberal" meant Laissez-faire free market capitalism. The word's meaning changed in the early Sixties, thanks to the Port Huron Statement. It began to stand for national socialism, government being the ATM for lazy bums, etc. 3. I do that by buying goods made in developing countries, duh. No you don't. Buying goods is not the same as GIVING AWAY YOUR MONEY. When you buy goods, you get value for value. If you buy a lot of stuff manufactured in China, it's possible you are making businesses with SLAVE LABOR rich. But you at no time would consider sending a check for 3/4 of your income to GIVE to poor people in other countries (getting no value in return) just to make it fair. I imagine you'd be screaming bloody murder at that. 4. Yes this is a fair point, but we should use it reflexively when blaming presidents also. They do set the tone, as Trump did with massive tax cuts, deficit spending etc. But you made a point. Actually, President Trump signed tax cuts into law that were passed by Congress. If you want to look at the things he did individually, they would be the Executive Orders. The deregulation, etc. Just like Reagan, Trump's deregulation exec orders went a long way towards expanding the economy, keeping fuel prices low, etc. The tax cuts brought record numbers of jobs back from the Far East. 5. By the biggest tax-and-spend liberal in some of our lifetimes: LBJ. Man, he was great wasn't he ? But I'm breaking your rule of blaming/crediting presidents where it's not due... LBJ and the Democrat Congress did more damage to this country than World Wars 1 and 2. He escalated the Vietnam War, which cost THOUSANDS of lives. His Great Society spending completely DESTROYED the black family unit. (Today, 75 percent of all black children are born into and raised by single parent households.THAT'S what the welfare state did.) And if you think about it, taking money from those who produce and giving it to those who do not, comes kinda close to the agenda Ludwig Von Mises suggested, in the "equality" thing. The Great Society, the WAR ON POVERTY has created more poverty in this country than at any other time. Other Democrat presidents and Congresses only made things worse. -
Republicans Against Inequality?

The state funds money-losing research that allows free markets to build applications... with obvious examples being the space program, and the internet. The state has to pay for cleanup after the money has been made and the money men have gone home and left behind their mess - see Superfund. And I'm using American examples here because this is ostensibly THE free market. To bring you up to speed with the science of economics, The United States has NEVER been a laissez faire free market economy. Such a thing has NEVER existed in all of human history. And you can look at the inequality in the west today as evidence that "the" system isn't working... You can't yell "Uncle Sugar" whenever referring to government roles... in 1960, 1970, 1980, 1990, 2000, 2010, 2023... because the power, organization, and focus of the US government in those years was entirely different in scope at those times. From HUMAN ACTION, written by the greatest economist of all time: Ludwig Von Mises. The inequality of incomes and wealth is an inherent feature of the market economy. Its elimination would entirely destroy the market economy." What those people who ask for equality have in mind is always an increase in their own power to consume. In endorsing the principle of equality as a political postulate nobody wants to share his own income with those who have less. When the American wage earner refers to equality, he means that the dividends of the stockholders should be given to him. He does not suggest a curtailment of his own income for the benefit of those 95 per cent of the earth's population whose income is lower than his. The role that income inequality plays in the market society must not be confused with the role it plays in a feudal society or in other types of noncapitalistic societie~Y.~e t in the course of historical evolution this precapitalistic inequality was of momentous importance. Let us compare the history of China with that of England. China has developed a very high civilization. Two thousand years ago it was far ahead of England. But at the end of the nineteenth century England was a rich and civilized country while China was poor. Its civilization did not differ much from the stage it had already reached ages before. It was an arrested civilization. China had tried to realize the principle of income equality to a greater extent than did England. Land holdings were divided and subdivided. There was no class of landless proletarians. But in eighteenth-century England this class was very numerous. For a very long time the restrictive practices of nonagricultural business, sanctified by traditional ideologies, delayed the emergence of modern entrepre neurship. But when the laissez-faire philosophy had opened the way for capitalism by utterly destroying the fallacies of restrictionism, the evolution of industrialism could proceed at an accelerated pace because the labor force needed was already available. In other words, you liberals don't really want equality of income. You just want to take from those who have more than you have. You do not want to give a massive portion of YOUR income to the starving masses in the world. The Reagan Revolution presided over a government that would be regarded as socialist today. Centrists should have a wider view of history than the last 10 years IMO. When people like you say such things, I start to wonder if your schools are run by meth addicted teachers who sit in their chairs all day and teach NOTHING. An American president does not PRESIDE over the government. The American government is THREE separate and EQUAL branches. The Reagan model was one of a single person having to fight a hostile Congress to get anything done. Reagan's tax cuts gave America the greatest and LONGEST stretch of prosperity in history. His deregulation of oil caused gasoline prices to PLUMMET. But he was never able to PRESIDE over baseline budgeting, which caused ENTITLEMENT spending to mushroom and become the LARGEST item on the budget. (Only Congress could overturn the Budget And Impoundment Act, that Nixon signed into law in the early Seventies.) And remember, the LAST time the American federal budget was balanced was in 1969, during the Vietnam War, when Defense was the largest budget item. -

San Fagcisco. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/drug-arrests-prove-city-magnet-homelessness-crime-activist-says Drug arrests prove this city is a 'magnet' for homelessness, crime, activist says The vast majority of people arrested in San Francisco's crackdown on open-air drug markets have been from out of town, according to police data. One recovery advocate says people from other counties and states see the liberal city as a sanctuary for illicit activity. "Everyone knows that San Francisco kind of takes a hands-off approach to law enforcement," recovering addict-turned-activist Tom Wolf told Fox News. "So they know that if they come to San Francisco they can get high, they can probably score a free tent, get money from the government and get food stamps and health insurance all while living on the street for free." San Francisco Police Chief Bill Scott said two weeks of the crackdown on open-air drug markets in the Tenderloin neighborhood yielded 45 arrests. Of the drug users arrested, only three reported being from San Francisco. "The majority of the people that we are coming in contact with … they don't live here," Scott said at a recent San Francisco Police Commission meeting. Scott called the statistics "surprising" but could only offer anecdotal answers for why more than 90% of alleged users were not local. He said he has spoken with people on the streets, asking why they chose to do drugs in San Francisco. "I’ve gotten answers like, ‘Drugs are cheap and plenty available, and you’ve got an environment where it’s permitted,’" Scott said. Gee! Who woulda thought that? San Francisco police are targeting drug sales and "blatant public illicit drug use," according to Scott's presentation at the police commission meeting. California Highway Patrol (CHP) and the California National Guard are also assisting local law enforcement at the behest of Gov. Gavin Newsom. In just six weeks, CHP seized enough fentanyl in San Francisco to kill more than 2.1 million people, according to Newsom's office. Fentanyl is up to 50 times stronger than heroin. It is responsible for the majority of accidental overdose deaths in San Francisco, according to the medical examiner. Wolf thinks fentanyl is "changing the game" by increasing overdose deaths and causing more people to demand action. Demand action? Excuse me, but YOU RET@RDS ARE THE ONES WHO VOTED FOR THE CITY GOVERNMENT THAT DID THIS. IT'S YOUR FAULT, @SSHOLES.

Unions, DemoNazis, bad management, lousy terrain, etc. Unions mean the cost of living is ALWAYS HIGHER. Grow a brain, ret@rd.
