Child abuse unfortunately comes in a lot of different shapes and forms. When my girls were living at home and I was first substitute teaching, especially at the elementary schools, I found myself at times coming home and giving them extra hugs, being so thankful that they are with Mom and me and intact. When I saw the results of really bad parenting and abuse, I thanked GOD that my girls had decent parents.
