Still wanna trust wind power?
reason10 replied to reason10's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Problem with nuclear energy is the Chicken Littles of the left, who have seen Jane Fonda's CHINA SYNDROME and assumed that was based on fact. Natural Gas is a FOSSIL FUEL. I'd LOVE to see natural gas gain in influence because I own stock in a gas company. This thread is about those idi0tic windmills that liberals want us to give up our cars and air conditioners for. If there is consistent heavy water flow (like on a man made dam) it would be insane not to tap that resource for hydroelectric power. It just requires man made dams, in certain parts of the country. Not a good idea in Florida. Example: The Hoover Dike was created at the southern base of Lake Okeechobee after that one hurricane destroyed the levee and drowned about 2500 people back in 1928. It wouldn't be a wise idea to try to make that dike a hydroplant because the land here is too low. If you think the enviro Nazis here are sounding shrill, you should be here in Southest Florida when the Gulf Offshore Karenia Brevis algae plant dumps red tide along the coast and the local enviroNazis try to blame Big Sugar for the higher lake levels in Okeechobee, (even though not ONE sugar cane farm comes anywhere near the lake.) And ANOTHER item Florid handles better than the rest of the country is water management and flood control. The state sits atop a HUGE aquifer of fresh water, which ironically is where our drinking water comes from. Also the state is low in a lot of areas and flood control is a major chore. In a move that is less intelligent than a blue state third grade teacher, it seems that rain runoff originating in Lake Kissimmee (which is close to Orlando) somehow makes its way down the canals to Lake Okeechobee. When Okeechobee gets too full (and there is too much pressure on the Hoover Dam) they open up the flood gates and release lake water east to the Indian River and West to the Caloosahatchie River. Ft. Myers whines and moans about brown water for about a month. (Imagine if they lived within 100 miles of the Mississippi.) -
Still wanna trust wind power?

America’s first new nuclear reactors in decades recently went online in Georgia, over $14 Billion over budget, which is double the original estimate. Provide a credible link or admit you are making this up. Meanwhile, jackasses from Florida think a million dollar failure is a big deal. When Mother Nature destroys a windmill, we don’t lose half a state for 200 years. Provide a credible link or admit you are LIAR. I mean,we all KNOW that you're a LIAR, but we're getting tired of keeping you busy by putting you in a round room and telling you to sit in the corner. By the way BAT GUANO FOR BRAINS, I have a link. https://blog.mirrorreview.com/nuclear-power-plants-in-florida/ Florida is regarded as one of the best states in the U.S. for various industries, thanks to its pro-business tax policies, competitive and affordable costs, and robust infrastructure. Even some unconventional industries like nuclear power industry have found home in Florida. There are numerous prerequisites to building a nuclear power plant—like government permissions, availability of water, etc.—and Florida fulfills all the conditions to become an ideal state for nuclear power plants. Nuclear power plants in Florida have emerged as important sources of energy in recent years. Here is the list of the top 5 nuclear power plants in Florida. St. Lucie Nuclear Power Plant Located on the Hutchinson Island Florida, St. Lucie nuclear power plant is a twin nuclear power station that has been powering millions of homes in South Florida over the past 45 years. The construction of the first unit began in July 1970 and the second one began in June 1977. Both the units were commissioned in December 1976 and August 1983 respectively. Both the units are combustion engineering pressurized water reactors (PWR) and are located in separate containment buildings. Alongside power generation, the plant also provides numerous quality jobs for the community and contributes a significant amount to the local economy each year. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) extended the operating licenses of both the existing units by twenty years in 2003. The license will be valid till March 2036 and April 2043 for unit 1 and unit 2 respectively. Turkey Point Nuclear Generating Station The Turkey Point Nuclear Generating Station is a nuclear and gas-fired power plant located on Biscayne Bay, 24 miles from Miami near the Homestead area. Similar to St. Lucie, this plant also has two nuclear power units. Both the nuclear power plants in Florida began their operations in 1972 and 1973 respectively. These units are Westinghouse pressurized water reactors. The nuclear power plant generates about 1600 Megawatts of electricity which is enough to cater to the annual needs of more than 900,000 homes. Gee! 900,000 homes. A THOUSAND of those faggy windmills couldn't power ONE home. Crystal River Energy Complex The Crystal River Energy Complex is located near the mouth of the Crystal River in Florida and comprises seven power generation plants spread across 4700 acres. The complex was developed in the early 1960s by the Florida Power Corporation. It was acquired by Progress Energy Inc. in 2000 and is currently owned by Duke Energy. Plant no.1, 2, 4, and 5 are fossil fuel plants whereas plant no.3 was the only nuclear power plant—which began its operations in 1977 and was closed in 2013. The nuclear power plant in the complex has been out of service since 2009 due to cracks in the containment building concrete. Progress Energy tried do-it-yourself repairs to the building housing the reactor, however, it failed in doing so and the plant was officially shut down in February 2013. The Offshore Power Systems and the Levy County Nuclear power plant are shut down. So far, a couple of Florida nuclear power plants are powering Florida homes and cities as well as those of other states, while CaliFAGula's windmills are destroyed by lightning. And you wonder why everybody says CalifAGula is one of the dumbest states in the union. -

No, you use memes made up by lDIOTS. Nope.My memes may TRIGGER some idi0ts, but they are very cleverly constructed. And they are all based on the TRUTH. Stop LYING. I don't lie. I don't lie. I'm right and you're wrong, whether you fcking like it or not, bitcvcch. If you don't want to be called stupid, QUIT ACTING SO STUPID. -
One could think that being a slave and therefore being forced to live in a more modern civilization (1820's Uganda compared to the USA) is superior to being left in the jungle. However, no one would ever opt for being a slave even if from an economic/material standpoint one is in a better situation. A case could be made that life might be better for the descendants of slaves in America, OR DESCENDANTS OF SLAVE TRADERS, LIKE KAMALA THE UGANDAN GIANT. Let's not forget that being sold into slavery (in African cultures like Ashanti, Fologia, etc) was often considered a punishment for some crime; a way of parents dealing with teenage children who were uncontrollable, or with family members wanting to get rid of someone in order to gain an upper hand in the family. (Africans who sold their OWN into slavery were much more evil than the Americans who bought the slaves at the auctions.) This thread is basically a LIE. Kamala the Ugandan Giant is LYING about Florida's African studies program, where allegedly blacks were better off with skills they learned as slaves. This thread isn't about the horrors of slavery. It's about a RACIST entitled Vice President DELIBERATELY LYING about how the state of Florida handles its public education, (which is REALLY stupid since we have the best schools in the state.)

Here's the source material (for the reeetards here who bitccch about using memes) https://edgarcountywatchdogs.com/2016/11/lake-land-college-blows-1017697-20-into-the-wind/ Lake Land College Blows $1,017,697.20 “Into the Wind” Think electric cars are so superior. Fine. Charge them ONLY with wind or solar power. NO Fossil fuels. See how cheap they are to drive at that point. The rest of us will tool by in our internal combustion air conditioned cars LAUGHING OUR ASSES OFF.

Boys and girls, look at Oprah Winfrey. She is one of the RICHEST black women in the world. Had her ancestors NOT been brought to America in slavery in the 19th Century, do you think living in some jungle she would have magically made those millions? Is there REALLY that much cash in trading leopard skins? Personally, I would have been happier if slavery had never existed and the only blacks who made their way to our shores came here voluntarily and helped build this country. I've about had it up to HERE with the small and loud group of entitled blacks who want me and my kids to pay THEM for what happened to people I had nothing to do with. When you find a reliable link, try again. Anyone can quote a far left NAzi rag.

Uh, NO. Trump BOUGHT a lot of merch from China, SAME AS EVERYONE ELSE, you mor0n. He single handedly built a nine billion dollar real estate empire, and a lot of the furnishings and Air Conditioning units came from China as well as South Korea. Your ghetto family might buy castoffs from Goodwill or the Dollar Store, but brilliant self made billionaires like Trump go first class.

Convince us of WHAT? Hurricanes are NATURAL, same as blizzards, tornadoes and thunderstorms. And if you somehow think that putting a carbon tax on AMERICAN ONLY fossil fuel use (since you Nazis are afraid to approach China, who uses more than anyone else) will stop hurricanes entirely, you REALLY are stupid. I'd be more worried if I were you, living in a ghetto , overtaxed poorly educated blue state, where the welfare state guarantees higher crime rates. Since I moved here, (in 1984) I've experienced TWO major hurricanes that involved structure damage and power loss. I was also in Texas in 83 for Hurricane Alicia, which tore the shit out of Houston. Between that time and now, hurricanes tore the hell out of Mexico and other Gulf spots. Hurricanes are a part of nature. Only an extra chromosome mor0n somehow thinks hurricanes didn't exist before weather people decided to name them. And only a fool thinks American fossil fuel use causes hurricanes. I worry more about a NAZI regime (formerly known as the Democrats) turning America into a Venezueal type socialist shithole. Weather doesn't scare me. You goose steppers do. Already, there are no more legitimate elections. That's the first step.

Nope. Democrats are past and present racism. Woke is Democrat. Everything woke is racist, retttarded and totally unAmerican. I use educated definitions, which is why you have so much trouble recognizing them. Kinda hard since you dropped out of the third grade, JETHRO/. -
You're FOS as usual. Nope. I'm just right again. And I didn't draw those charts. They come from the National hurricane center, you MOR0n. IOW, we're at the start of peak (96%) activity. We've got two months of worry left. A big one could charge at us from Cabo Verde or the next two months could wind up just like the last couple of weeks, with little storms not making it much past the middle of the Atlantic. Even in a major storm season, Florida is safer than it would be from uneducated Blue state retttards like you coming down here because you can't afford the taxes of the shithole you voted for. Florida has survived Hurricanes Donna, Charley, Irma and Ian, but HURRICANE BLUE STATE IDI0T can do some real damage. But not to worry. We're sending you the animals who swim the Rio Grande and who unelected Joe try to send to Florida. A mor0n like you mentioning climate science is like a downs syndrome baby mentioning quantum physics. Way beyond your blue state second grade dropout level, JETHRO.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/ron-desantis-why-hes-standing-his-ground-against-kamala-harris-its-wrong-let-false-narratives-stand DeSantis on why he's standing his ground against VP Harris: 'It's wrong to let false narratives stand' CONCORD, N.H. — Gov. Ron DeSantis says he is "ready to roll" when it comes to debating face-to-face with Vice President Harris in the controversy over a line in Florida’s new African-American history curriculum that mentions "how slaves developed skills which, in some instances, could be applied for their personal benefit." Hours after sending a letter to Harris in which he invited her to come to Tallahassee to debate him, DeSantis told reporters Tuesday that he had invited the vice president "to come to Florida to debate Florida’s education standards." The Republican 2024 presidential candidate, during a campaign stop at a diner in New Hampshire’s capital city, said that Harris "seemed to have a lot to say about it. None of which has been true. And so, we are ready to have that debate." When asked by Fox News if he had heard back from Harris or the vice president’s office, DeSantis said that "she has not" responded to the invitation. I guess she's worried about this little inconvenient fact coming out. This OTHER Kamala is a lot more credible.

...WHY is New York's Mayor trying to turn away more illegal alien animals from his island paradise? https://www.foxnews.com/politics/mayor-eric-adams-says-new-york-city-has-run-room-migrants-not-going-get-better Mayor Eric Adams says New York City has 'run out of room’ for migrants: ‘It’s not going to get any better’ New York City Mayor Eric Adams said on Monday that there's no longer room for migrants to stay in the city, stating that the city is at a boiling point. Adams made the comments during a violence prevention task force briefing on Monday alongside several city and state officials, including Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul. "Our next phase of this strategy, now that we have run out of room, we have to figure out how we're going to localize the inevitable that there's no more room indoors," Adams said. "Here's where we are right now. Yes, there were people sleeping in cooling vans. There were people along the sidewalk. We have to localize this madness. We have to figure out a way of how we don't have what's in other municipalities where you have tent cities all over the city," Adams said. Gee! What about those wonderful multi million dollar homes in Long Island? If New York is so SUPERIOR, just put the wetbacks in those homes. What's the problem?

https://www.foxnews.com/media/ohio-youth-center-sponsors-program-teach-kids-how-drag-queens-fundamentals-drag Ohio youth center sponsors program to teach kids how to be drag queens: The ‘fundamentals of drag’ The Colors+ Youth Center in Fairview, Ohio announced that it will host monthly workshops showing minors how to become drag queens. Activities such as drag queen story hours and other events with children have become sources of national controversy over the past few years. The Colors+ Youth Center in Ohio, as one such example. It hosts all manner of LGBTQ+-themed events aimed at children, such as "monthly Drag Storytimes" that feature "a drag performer reading an age-appropriate book with positive themes for LGBTQ+ youth highlighting inclusivity, creativity, and love." The Cuyahoga Arts & Culture (CAC) website explains the taxpayer support: "In November 2015, Cuyahoga County voters overwhelmingly supported Issue 8, the penny-and-a-half tax and revenue source for Cuyahoga Arts & Culture. The renewed tax provides CAC with funding through January 2027 to invest in the local arts and culture sector." THIS is child abuse.

So far in the middle of Hurricane Season (which according to the extra chromosome crowd here are TOTALLY caused by American fossil fuel use ONLY) there's been a lot of fizzling out. Atlantic Pacific These are two systems that should have pounded the hell out of the Atlantic Coast and the Gulf states. And they are fizzling out and heading the other way, even with all those record warmest waters here. Gee! I guess the Chicken Littles will have to find another issue other than hurricanes to bash Capitalism. Because I live in Florida, I go to the National Hurricane Center site every day. One small speck coming out of Cabo Verde and the whole state watches. So far, wind shear has taken these potential storms down the way a conservative kicks a liberal's ass in a debate.

reason10 replied to NYLefty's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Gee, if New York is so wonderful, then you liberals won't have any problem with Florida and Texas shipping all those ILLEGAL ALIEN animals there. They can have a better life. The RACIST Martha's Vineyard didn't want them. Guess there's a problem with colored folk on that island. -

It's like he told the country after kicking Hillary's Nazi ass: He's not a politician. He doesn't think in those terms. He thinks in the same BUSINESS terms that got him a nine billion dollar international real estate empire which he built single handedly. If anything, he should have trusted a political advisor with a lot of his moves in Washington, because business is different from dealing with Nazis. -

Excuse me SHIT FOR BRAINS, but forced labor, rape, torture, murder, child abduction and child trafficking ARE STILL TAKING PLACE TODAY. The United States is the ONLY country that fought a fcking CIVIL WAR to end the process of importing slaves from Africa FROM A CONTINENT THAT SOLD ITS OWN FCKING PEOPLE IN TO SLAVERY IN THE FIRST PLACE, as well as maintaining slavery today. There is STILL slavery taking place in Africa, you mor0n. Kamala the Ugandan Giant is LYING about that slavery skills bullshit. I proved it with the facts. Grow a brain, idi0t.

The WONDERFUL uses for Fossil Fuels
reason10 replied to reason10's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Once again, i have to put the idi0t in his place. In the first place, nobody anywhere is contemplating the elimination of fossil fuel. Can you get that through your skull? Nobody is saying that because it is unnecessary and impossible. You goose steppers want to eliminate all fossil fuels, even though they are NOT warming or cooling the planet in any way, shape or form. Your unelected PEDOPHILE has ATTACKED the US Domestic energy industry based on the global HOAX. And that's why gasoline is so high today. Trains, you knucklehead, run on TRACKS. There are lots and lots and lots of electric trains all around the world. They work great. And the diesel trains you mention, by the way, are nearly diesel-electric, meaning, the drive to the wheels is ELECTRIC Electricity that is produced by FCKING FOSSIL FUELS, shit for brains. Ten acres of windmills couldn't power a single electric city bus for a day. Electric cars are FASTER than gas powered cars and have far better acceleration. Are the fastest EV’s expensive? Yes, but so are Porsches and Corvettes. And electric cars use electricity that is CREATED SOLELY BY FOSSIL FUELS. It is just my imagination or are you REALLY too FCKING STUPID to get that? It's the whole point of this thread, you mor0n. The technology works, you’re just too pigheaded to admit it. And here’s why: It’s cause you’re TOO DUMB to realize that ALL of the anti-climate change thought has been created by OIL COMPANIES. They’re f-ing all of us over. The truth they don’t want you to know is that we can deploy renewable electrical generation that’s vastly cheaper than oil and will result in not only clean energy but UNLIMITED energy. No one is saying electric technology doesn't work, YOU LYING SACK OF SHIT. What those of us are saying is ALL that ELECTRICITY is produced by FOSSIL FUELS. Oh, and we'll wait patiently while you produce even ONE reliable source linking fossil fuel companies to debunking the CLIMATE CHANGE LIE. (I produced a thread of SCIENTIFIC SOURCES, but we'll wait for you to check with your ONLY source of information.) Check out what Fervo Energy is doing. It’s incredible: They basically convert water into unlimited electricity, nearly anywhere, by using hydraulic fracking technology to drill into heat-generating fissures. They pump water into these fissures, thereby creating geothermal plants nearly anywhere. And most of the water is recaptured. Oil is done for. If America doesn’t capitalize on this, we will be a second place nation. And the ELECTRICITY to do all that comes from electricity that is generated from FOSSIL FUELS, you idi0t. When your wonderfully limp wristed green eco energy concerns (and all the miraculous Marty McFly electric cars) are UNPLUGGED from the fossil fuel outlet, you'll have room to talk. Right now, you once again have made a colossal fool out of your self, and I have OWNED you, dog. -

https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/desantis-appointed-district-abolishes-disney-boards-dei-race-based-programs-illegal-unamerican DeSantis-appointed district abolishes Disney board's DEI and race-based programs: 'illegal' and 'unAmerica FIRST ON FOX – The Florida district that governs the iconic Walt Disney World theme park and resort announced Tuesday it is abolishing all of its diversity, equity and inclusion programs and race-based hiring practices. Glenton Gilzean, director of the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District – a unique governing body that dictates economic, tax and other policies for the nearly 25,000-acre theme park – said the change is a reversal of the Disney-appointed Reedy Creek Improvement District polices. "The so-called diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives were advanced during the tenure of the previous board and they were illegal and simply unAmerican," said Gilzean. "Our district will no longer participate in any attempt to divide us by race or advance the notion that we are not created equal," he said. Gee, boys and girls! Imagine that! An American governor who has actually read THE CONSTITUTION. (By the way, DISNEY was violating the Civil Rights Act in hiring with its own human resources department. It was called CASTING, a term that allegedly shielded the company from racial discrimination suits. If it's HIRING, the law applies, but Disney apparently believed that CASTING would allow illegal racial discrimination.)
