The SCOTUS did no such thing. And those misdemeanors come standard with jail time. It's not jaywalking. The law is very clear--as is the basic human decency not to treat other people as she did. Fark her bullshit. She--and apparently you--think it's cool to harass and assault people who don't adhere to her religious beliefs. Consequences are the deterrent. And the fake-ass party of law and order just eliminated the deterrent for violent riots and for harassing people on religious grounds.

Half of the prison population have children at home. Again, not a free pass for criminal behavior or to abuse your fellow citizens. Perhaps she should have thought of her own responsibilities before criminally tormenting and assaulting perfect strangers. Party of law and order, my ass. Party of personal responsibility, my ass.

Nixon 1968 vs Trump 2024
Hodad replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
A difference? You mean that the first one is pure fiction? Indeed, that is different. -
Once again, you are just plain celebrating a nakedly partisan disregard for law and order. These people weren't arrested, tried and convicted for their beliefs. For example, there is a law that prohibits people from blocking or harassing people seeking health care or entering places of worship. The woman you mention literally assaulted clinic staff while flagrantly harassing and blocking access to the clinic. She's a criminal--and a vile person to boot. Just because you don't believe in dentistry doesn't mean you have a license to block and harrass other people to prevent them from accessing a dentist. Just because you don't believe in Judaism doesn't mean you have license to block people from entering a synagogue. We simply cannot allow such behavior in a functional society. She does NOT deserve a pardon. She deserves to serve her time and serve as an example to others.

Not On The National News
Hodad replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Ah, yes the party derided as the party of "big government" is also anti-government when that feels convenient. Anarchist-ish actovosts vandalizing buildings in Portland is, at this point, just any other day. -
Not On The National News
Hodad replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I'm not sure why vandalism of a county building should be national news, but since when is Newsweek not "national"? And it's hard to parse whatever it is you're trying to do in the commentary, but it's not working. -
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Sure, the others were all spectators. They had chased the legislators that far and smashed they window, but the were all there just to watch one woman go through. Try, try try to think about this even a little. She was the FIRST one through. The cop fired only after extensive retreat and multiple warnings. He put down the first person to come through, exactly as he should have, and the rest of the mob was cowed.

A. That's an obvious falsehood. Biden's COVID relief spending was nearly as much as Trump's. B. The numbers are wrong. Fox business Trump administration (1/20/17–1/20/21) Net borrowing: $8.4 trillion Net borrowing excluding COVID measures: $4.8 trillion Partisan borrowing: $1.9 trillion Bipartisan borrowing: $6.5 trillion Biden administration (1/20/21–6/21/24) Net borrowing: $4.3 trillion Borrowing excluding American Rescue Plan: $2.2 trillion Partisan borrowing: $3 trillion Bipartisan borrowing: $1.3 trillion ^^the caveat is that this runs through June, but I don't believe Biden signed any major spending in the last few months.

Nobody. At least not on a year-to-year basis. Trump lives up to his boast of being the " King of debt."

Trump added to the debt at a record pace last time. I'm sure he's the guy you undo his own damage. 🙄

What do you think of this plea?
Hodad replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Dude, Alex Acosta (appointed in Trump's last term) literally made the Epstein sweetheart deal. Literally let him go. Bondi didn't prosecute. I mean, a pedophile enabler is an upgrade from Gaetz, in that she's not herself a pedophile, but it continues to undermine WCM's absurd premise. Then there's also that little matter of Bondi dropping the Trump University fraud after the $25k donation from the Trump Foundation (which was also dissolved for fraud). But it wouldn't be a Trump administration if it weren't packed with corrupt lackeys. -

Epstein. Bondi let him off the hook in a deal nobody understands. It's been suggested that there were favors or bribery involved. It's that weird. You should look it up so you know something about these people you're swooning over. -

Thanks for bringing this thread full circle. Republicans, who allegedly don't like pedophiles, are champing at the bit to get Pam Bondi in office, who famously let Trump's rich pedophile buddy off the hook in Florida. In the Trump era, truth is almost always stranger than fiction. -

Wow, that's a lame attempt.
