Tim Walz Lied About His Military Service
Rebound replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Can you explain why it’s bad to have a law stating that schools must provide sanitary napkins to menstruating students who need them, between grades 4 and 12? The law doesn’t say where or how the products are to be distributed, just that they should be available at no charge. You guys made up the “boys bathroom” thing. -

And releasing the stupid birth certificate accomplished absolutely nothing whatsoever. Did you ever see Trump’s long form birth certificate? Or his short form birth certificate? Or Bush’s? Or Reagan’s? Or Eisenhower’s? No, no and no. The first seven US Presidents were not born in the United States. Never saw their birth certificate. -

That’s your attempt at “they’re all the same”. No; they are not all the same. You can twist anyone’s words around to claim they’re a liar. Walz was demoted for one single day and he’s being called a liar over it. Not in the same league as claiming that windmills cause cancer, that you have “alternative facts”, and on and on. Trump lies incessantly. He’s in the Liars Hall of Fame. -
Fact: If a 17 year-old Palestinian fires an RPG at an Israeli tank and the RPG explodes, Hamas officially reports it as a “civilian child casualty.” Insisting on sharing plans and ensuring that noncombatant casualties are minimized in those plans hurts Hamas. Their only real weapon is the deaths of their own innocents, which Hamas has caused.
-
I think it’s perfectly reasonable to insist on a post war strategy… which takes zero resources while executing the war. And telling them to show plans for minimizing unnecessary casualties is a Geneva Convention anyway. I don’t see how it’s given Hamas any advantage in this fight. Biden has stood strongly behind Israel even though he faced political pressure not to. As for whether we should firebomb the Gazans, my opinion is that Israel should wage war until they unconditionally surrender. If they don’t, Hamas will stroll right back in and attack Israel again. That is 100% not acceptable. So if 2,000 bombs don’t work, use 5,000 bombs. They need to surrender and that’s that.
-
You’re just making things up. Biden hasn’t told Israel to make the war take longer. Personslly, I think we should put 75,000 soldiers in Gaza and feed all those people while we root out the terrorists and establish a new government with the help of Saudi and the UAE. We wrote Japan’s constitution and we can write theirs, since these people have proven they can’t govern themselves at all. But that’s not gonna happen.

You pay Trump, you get the government to do what you want. That’s what Trump says and it is what he does. -
All three of those things are untrue. He signed a law that schools must provide free menstrual supplies to girls in grades 4-12. It doesn’t say that they need to be placed in any bathrooms, much less in boys’ bathrooms. He left the National Guard a year before his unit deployed, after 24 years of service. How long did you serve in the armed service? More than 24 years?

The purpose of NATO is to defend against a Soviet or Russian invasion of Western Europe. Telling Russia to invade a Western European nation does not make the NATO alliance stronger. Meanwhile, here’s an actual photo of Hamas’ new leader, Sinwar. And you wonder why so many Palestinian children are dying…

And as I said…. No Trump voter is changing their vote because Trump used a falsified medical report to evade the draft, so why on Earth do you think this will matter one iota to any voter? It’s just partisan nonsense. -

The truth is that he decided to retire from the Guard after 24 years, he announced his retirement, he had not completed his classes, and as a result, they demoted him the day before his retirement, which was a pretty vindictive, dick move in my opinion. A year later his unit got called to Iraq to provide artillery defense for an airfield. By then, Walz was in Congress. -

No, he clearly said that because of Elon Musk’s endorsement, he supports electric cars. He said that he HAS TO, because of Musk’s endorsement. Trump also said that windmills cause cancer. Did he mean that? It’s what he said but I don’t have magic Trump filtering that spins his word salad into logic. I just know he said that windmills cause cancer. -
Donald Trump Lied About Olympic Boxer
Rebound replied to Rebound's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
The thread is about Donald Trump being a fool and a liar and claiming that this boxer was born male. The athlete’s condition is irrelevant, unless perhaps you’re finally ready to admit that there are legitimate medical reasons why some people do have a reason to be transgender. -

What sort of thing is wrong? Women boxing? Oh no. Donald Trump’s been stupid all along. He still can’t speak in complete sentences. -

Oh please. If he keeps repeating it, there’s zero chance that you’ll say he’s wrong. -

His overall point was that she was born a man. And that is not true. But this is Trump. He won’t admit that he made a mistake, he will repeat his lie over and over until you fools believe it. Because that’s what you cult members do. -

What questions did the media ask him? -
Donald Trump, speaking at last night’s Atlanta rally: ”I’m for electric cars. I have to be, because Elon endorsed me. So I have no choice.” Pay to play politics: Give Trump money, he does what you want. Government for the highest bidder. Previously, Trump told a group of oil executives to give him $1 billion, and in return he would give them $500 billion in tax cuts. Government for the highest bidder. Bribery at work. And now, the Washington Post is deep into investigating a $10 million cash withdrawal made by Egyptian Intelligence very shortly before Trump made a personal $10 million cash contribution to his campaign back in 2016. Dictator Sisi of Egypt was the first foreign leader to visit newly elected Trump, and Trump described Sisi as “My favorite dictator.”

If the story is true and he was demoted, he still held the rank at one point and so he did not lie. Besides that, it’s all very irrelevant. My take is this: They vet VP candidates very thoroughly. It’s easy for the VP’s office to order service records, so it’s unlikely that your claim is true. Also, even if he omitted his demotion, it’s insignificant compared to the dishonesty of paying a doctor to submit falsified medical records to justify a deferment when others were being drafted into combat. Since Trump voters have no trouble looking the other way over that, I see no reason why anyone will refuse to vote for Walz over this unproven allegation.
