But is it any surprise that California has twice as many homeless? For starters… it’s obviously easier to be homeless in a warm climate. And the economic problem… once you lose your home, it’s incredibly difficult to get a job and find new housing. There simply is not any low cost/low income housing. At least, not close enough to meet demand. No place in America is implementing practical solutions to homelessness. Some places kick out the homeless, but that only solves the local problem. It doesn’t solve the actual problem. It’s a cruel thing to do which prioritizes some people over others.

Chain stores aren’t leaving California. They closed stores in SF, but they didn’t leave the state. I don’t think you comprehend how massive California is. Businesses leave the state for one main reason: It’s become incredibly expensive. It’s like doing business in Manhattan. Real estate has just become incredibly expensive, and it makes the cost of running a business very expensive. And if you can move out of state and keep your tech job, you can live like a king, especially if you sell your house on the way out.

California is a state of over 30 million. If it were a country, it would have the world’s fourth largest economy. It’s difficult to compare to a state of 400,000. There are several counties in California with more people than several entire states. California has lead the nation and the world in countless ways. Nuclear weapons, most of UNIX as we know it today, nuclear medicine, the movie industry. The first legalized gay marriages. The gay rights movement itself. Silicon Valley and most of high tech comes from California. Biotech as an industry began in California. And a massive agriculture industry. JPL. Electric cars, Apple Computer, Oracle, Cisco, Intel, AMD, countless more. There’s more high tech in California than in the rest of the nation combined. The state now has a lot of poor people. Not surprising… if you’re homeless, you won’t freeze to death in most of California. And poverty creates a lot of problems, especially when it’s next to billionaires. It might not be the utopia it once was, but it’s hardly a failure. So the answer? Yes, California is the state other states should aspire to be.

No rule of law? Donald Trump just called for terminating the United States Constitution. That would literally mean No Rule of Law and the end of our Democracy. “A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution.” That is dictatorship, from the guy who tried to violently overthrow the government in January 6.

The LIE about the Colorado night club killings.

If you want to call the law of Christ “pathetic,” that’s on you. Yes, Christ commands us to follow “the law,” whatever it may be, but He also said you’re an adulterer. You are, you know you are, according to His Holy Law, so stop pretending that you’re better than gay people. Cause, guess what? The Ten Commandments forbids adultery, but not homosexuality. So the gay people are better than you, unless they commit adultery. -
Of course, the SUPERIOR red state of Florida doesn't seem to have a problem with "To Kill A Mockingbird." During a Freshman writing/reading class in a local high school, the book came up in discussion. I was subbing for the class, (the teacher out with an extended illness.) All the horrific items in the book were explored in great detail. All the violence, the racism, etc. (Not surprising since the racists were all Democrats.) Personally I never cared for Harper Lee's books. I thought "Mockingbird" was poorly written and just seemed to ramble on. And "Go Set A Watchman" (the sequel to Mockingbird, where Atticus Finch wound up in the KKK) would have been a perfect substitute for Ambien, it was so boring. Then again, my historic author favorites were a much more eclectic class: Ayn Rand, Frank Yerby, Ludwig Von Mises, Adam Smith, Friedrich Hayek, etc. But somehow Harper Lee was able to parlay her friendship with that fag Truman Capote to get an inferior manuscript published. Oh, and those are OPINIONS. The fact that they might disagree with your bullshit does not automatically brand me a troll. The thread title was about a Pennsylvania school board deciding to violate state law and teach that one race is superior to another. But since you do not have the education to actually discuss the thread title because you think changing the subject will make you look clever, we're at this point in the discussion where I hurt a lot of retarded liberal feelings with my dislike of Harper Lee. When you are ready to grow a brain and discuss the actual subject of the thread, I'll be surprised, (as will the third grade teacher who flunked you out.) Your lies have already been pointed out, so we all know you’re just a troll. Too bad, because we could have an interesting discussion about whether any of the other eight prohibitions are warranted or not.

Don’t be ridiculous! Christian morals only matter when it applies to other people’s behavior. Try this: It is better to put people in chains and beat them with whips to raise cotton for me, because I am making them Christian. It’s for their own good! I get rich from it because Jesus is thanking me for forcing these people to be Christian. -

I know you’ve cheated on your wife, so cut the false morality. Before you deny this, consider what Jesus Christ said on the subject: “Whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” -
There is a proposed law. The law bans teaching NINE things. The article your quoted mentions only the first of the nine banned things: Teaching that any race is superior to another. (I’m happy you agree that people should not teach that. Big thumbs up for you!) So of course your panties are all in a twist over liberals who refuse to accept this. Except it’s some of the other eight things in the same proposed law which, whoops, you “conveniently” left out. THAT is the dishonesty. So here’s where we can go: Either STFU, or, discuss why the other eight things should also be banned. Since it’s an all or nothing deal.

I don’t think you’re normal. I don’t think ‘normal’ is about who your sex fantasies are about. So it’s fine with me that you get boners when you look at male strippers. I won’t even tell anybody. -
They are NOT Native Americans. They are INDIANS
Rebound replied to reason10's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Why does that matter to you? Cause I don’t give two sh!ts, and I doubt Native Americans give two sh!ts either. Or even one. In fact, this whole thread isn’t even worth half a sh!t. I keep asking you why it matters and you don’t seem to know either. -

Democrats in DENIAL about Fentanyl problem in US
Rebound replied to reason10's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
It’s horrible that Trump started this fentanyl epidemic and left this mess for democrats to clean up. But I don’t think that creating a board in New York would have stopped an overdose in California. -

Most English words have a root in some other language. Today, America is an English word. Your argument is completely pointless. -

The lawyer said the client wants to be referred to as They. That doesn’t mean that the person is homosexual. It means they want to be called they. Being non-binary has nothing to do with whether you’re homosexual, although I assume you’re probably both. -

You’re pretty stupid if you think America is not an English word. Is it not in your dictionary? https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/America The dictionary doesn’t care about your feelings Why does any of this matter? -

He also doesn’t understand that “America” is the English name of the continents and “Native Americans” is the English language name of these people.
