Liberal government destroyed the Crown
I am Groot replied to blackbird's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
In other words, that is our roots, our history, our origin. And that is what the Liberals have sought to eliminate at every turn in a feeble effort at having Canada be a bit less offensive to Quebec. -

Why should I ask myself that? Because of the battle on the plains of Abraham? Because of the Napoleonic wars? They've never liked English people. And they've DEFINITELY never liked English intruding upon the sacred French language. -
We are desperately importing people as fast as we can so they can be unemployed and homeless. But the Trudeau government won't even consider lowering immigration or even cutting back on foreign workers. Last week’s Labor Force Survey (LFS) showed historic growth for Canada’s working-age population. The country added 125k workers just that month, about 4.7% growth when annualized. While the headline data revealed a falling unemployment rate, we emphasized this was largely due to methodology. Increasingly the data considers more people as “long term unemployed,” due to giving up on trying to find employment. In short, the country is producing a lot of workers. Finding jobs for all of these workers is proving much more difficult than policymakers had anticipated. https://betterdwelling.com/canadas-labor-market-absorbing-its-population-boom-is-impossible-national-bank/

Russia and China are now cooperating in the Arctic. Both have their eyes on developing natural resources up there as the ice retreats. And neither has any respect for either Canada or its claims in the North. China has previously flouted international maritime law by claiming waters that belong to other nations in the South China Sea, and then simply building an artificial island in the middle, claiming it's an extension of their land mass, and pushing their claims out further while daring anyone to do anything about it. If that isn't ballsy I don't know what is. It's not even remotely difficult to imagine a similar event happening in the Arctic, where a Chinese company, backed by the Communist Party, decides to start drilling for oil in waters claimed by Canada, and saying it has permission from Russia. And what exactly is Canada going to do about it? Absolutely nothing. And they know it. Which is a big chunk of why they might do it. The Americans don't recognize some of our claims, but even if this is part they do does anyone think Donald Trump would stand behind Canada? Not a chance. He'd laugh in Trudeau's face. Using proprietary data, Strider found that during the 18 months from January, 2022, to June, 2023, 234 Chinese-owned companies registered to operate in Russian-controlled Arctic territory, an 87-per-cent increase compared with registrations in the two years prior. As of June, 2023, 359 Chinese-owned companies operate in the region, Strider said, the result of a surge in investment over the last three years. Strider proprietary data are aggregated from across corporate, transaction, and open-source data sets. Russia and China are also deepening their security ties, signing an agreement in April, 2023, to co-operate on maritime law enforcement. In August, 2023, they conducted joint exercises in the Bering Sea off the coast of Alaska – remaining in international waters. The Bering Sea is a gateway between the Arctic and Pacific oceans. Chinese-Russian collaboration in the Arctic is a scenario Canada’s military intelligence has warned MPs about. “I would definitely agree that if Russia and China were to co-operate in the Arctic, it would pose significant threats to Canada’s ability to protect its sovereignty,” Major-General Michael Wright, Commander of Canadian Forces Intelligence Command and Chief of Defence Intelligence, told the Commons defence committee in October, 2022, more than six months after Russia’s assault on Ukraine began. This is actually the norm for me, too. I have to experiment at eliminating those or that word and keep trying to post to see if that was the word. Yesterday a word was highlighted, though, and I was actually surprised. Edit: I guess maybe you made a change that worked. Thanks! On the other hand, for the first time today, a word got ***** out in my post instead of blocking the posting and being highlighted as banned. That's new. To me anyway.

I realize reading is hard for you, just like for the fat, diaper-boy god you worship, but including that part was to show you that the courts banned remain in Mexico under other laws. Trump then tried, a year later, to do it under emergency health legislation during the height of the covid hysteria - which by the way, was the same time you guys were screaming and howling and ranting like deranged methheads about border controls - and that too had been initially turned down by courts and was on its way to defeat before it was dropped. It would not be possible to even try to implement it again without another health crisis and if Diaper-Don tries it the courts will shut him down again. You imbecilic twat.

Do you think the Quebecois want to fly the maple leaf? Guess what, they don't. You won't find any flying at the Quebec assembly either, inside or outside. In fact, there's a law in Quebec that requires the fleur de lis (Hey, where did THAT symbol come from!?) be given precedence over any other flag anywhere in Quebec. So schools and government buildings in Quebec fly only the fleur-de-lis. That is most assuredly not the case elsewhere in Canada. The French want no part of you or your history. It isn't even taught, aside from the parts dealing with Quebec and its cruel oppression, at Quebec schools. And the instant they think they can make a go of it economically they will be out the door with a backward sneer toward you and your efforts at placating them. I grew up in Qeubec. It might surprise you the French don't like living in the same country as les maudit anglais. Much less the same province. Which is why they've been slow-motion ethnic cleansing their pure province of english speakers for years. You clearly don't know any Quebecers or much about their political or cultural views. -

What drugs were you on when you pounded out that bizarre rant? All conservatives want is for the government to stop pouring foreigners into their country. -
From the same cite you just listed, bozo. On November 9, 2018, then-U.S. president Donald Trump issued a proclamation suspending the right of asylum to any migrant crossing the US–Mexico border outside of a lawful port of entry.[8] U.S. District Judge Jon S. Tigar of the Northern California District Court issued a November 19 injunction against implementing the policy, which was upheld by the US Supreme Court on December 21, 2018.[9] His second attempt was to use Covid (it's just the flu!) as an excuse (It's not dangerous at all!) You'll note that it had failed in federal court and failed in the court of appeals. The SC had simply let it continue until they had heard the case. Biden ended it before that happened. September 2019, the Supreme Court stayed an injunction against the rule in Barr v. East Bay Sanctuary Covenant,[19] allowing the rule to take effect while legal challenges were pending.[20] On March 4, 2020, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ordered the "Remain in Mexico" program halted in the states under its jurisdiction, on the presumption that it violates statutory law; a lawsuit by various advocacy groups against the Department of Homeland Security is still awaiting final decision.[21] On March 11, 2020, the U.S. Supreme Court stayed the injunction,[22] allowing the Trump administration to continue the program while litigation continues

I did post them, which showed that a federal court, and appeal court banned 'remain in Mexico', and the supreme court refused to hear an appeal. Trump used a section of the health act to ban them during Covid. But that had already been found illegal by the first judge who saw it and was working its way up the ladder. Even if it was possible it would have been held to be legal under covid it obviously wouldn't work without covid. The rest of your brainless rant deleted as it contained nothing intelligent.

That's never going to happen and never happened under Trump either. If you wanted them out you'd have supported the bill. Just like if Trump wanted them out he would have supported the bill. Trump doesn't give a damn about illegal aliens. He employed them on his building sites. He's just spouting whatever the gullible will believe, just like he did when he was a real estate sales guy.

NATO membership isn't like leasing an overpriced condo in Trump Tower. It doesn't come with a guaranteed payment schedule. The two percent is a guideline, not a mandatory requirement. We do? Don't know much about geography or economics do you? Then again, Trump supporters rarely do. Just like Trump!

The cash injection didn't really happen until Russia launched its all-out invasion of Ukraine. That woke people up and even Germany doubled its military spending while Sweden brought the draft back. You probably don't know this because the only news you ever get is from FOX and One America. The rest of your time is spent sitting in a corner crying because you're not an American.

Are you suggesting a country can't ever decline? Perhaps due to bad leadership? Why does it offend you to say that life might have been better back when our population was half what it is is now? In what way has doubling our population made life better now? -
In my case the talking points ARE facts and intelligent comments. You just don't recognize such things. Actually, American immigration law says anyone claiming asylum has to be let in until their asylum claim is adjudicated. Now the law your god ordered voted down would have sped up those hearings and detained asylum claimants until they had them. But Trump didn't want that. He wanted them to keep flooding into the country and rape and murder people. Because he thinks it might be good for his election hopes.

How many miles did Trump build his first year in office? Zero. His second year? Zero. Then the Democrats get control of the House. Suddenly, he remembers the wall and starts pushing for it! And he illegally takes money from the military budget to use it for that! You haven't figured out yet Trump doesn't give a shit about the wall or illegal immigration? He's a salesman and you're the suckers he's lining up to buy his spiel - with no refunds allowed. Well, as long as you ignore the courts. You didn't notice that it also gave money to build big new detention facilities and hire more border patrolmen so those people who come across illegally can either be turned back or be detained rather than released?

Former President Donald Trump on Saturday said he would encourage Russia to do “whatever the hell they want” to any NATO member country that doesn’t meet spending guidelines on defense in a stunning admission he would not abide by the collective-defense clause at the heart of the alliance if reelected. Do I have to mention that would certainly include Canada? Trump says he would encourage Russia to ‘do whatever the hell they want’ to any NATO country that doesn’t pay enough (msn.com) Do I have to mention that would certainly include Canada?
