Just saying. One political party is not much better than the other once they get in office. In Canada, we seem to tolerate one party for a while then we throw then out and get the other... for a while. The primary difference in the past number of years is the everyday persons overwhelming personal attachment to one party or the other. We used to be tolerant but now we are confrontational. 2 years into a mandate, we start to whine about who is in power.

Looking at this with 20/20 hindsight, yeah maybe but, Canada still kicked him out for Justin. Justin and his libs gained 148 seats.... Harper lost almost 70. The promise of legalized marijuana (in my opinion) put Trudeau on top and that was enough. In the 2 elections since, the conservatives have not had enough to convince Canadians they were getting anything better. I certainly hope whomever the cons get as a leader will get all the cons on the same page and enough to oust Trudeau and the liberals (and the NDP too). Don't know why Ontario has this hard on for the libs, too many McGuinty/Wynne fans still there I guess.

Canada has failed it's Military since just post WW II. As soon as Lester Pearson helped create the UN Peacekeeping force, the governments of Canada have not helped or supported the Military and let it decay to todays levels.

Canadians have never lived up to it's NATO commitment of 2%, ever. Be it Conservative or Liberal governments. That has been a major problem and complaint from the beginning of NATO. Mulroney talked a great line as did Harper but we have always let down our NATO partners. The NDP has been anti military since Tommy Douglas founded it.
