OK...I do have to admit some of what's been happening of late, makes things "better" for some folks. But overall I'd have to say things have gotten worse. The open borders, first in Europe and of late in North America, have produced only strife for citizens. The idea that "green energy" is paramount when we are emerging from an economic disaster was stupid, economically stunting and down right selfish. The social issues such as all the sex warping and speech squelching has further rubbed salt in the open wounds. Our governments spending money like drunken sailors has turned all these self-imposed wounds in to gaping gashes. And then there's the wars. Brandon surrenders to terrorists and then blames Trump...an act of pure cowardice and a blatantly stupid move. The war in Ukraine...in which both NATO and the USA in particular, had a HUGE hand in fomenting. Now we spend even more money to what? Watch people die over a land nobody gave a rat's a55 about not more than a few years ago? A NATO reject? And then there's Israel and the Middle East. Frankly we should have surrounded the entire area decades ago and said...nobody and nothing goes in or out until you Semites resolve this bullsh1t. So...better? Improved? We are closer to nuclear extinction now that we've ever been. Is that better?

I find it sad to see some claim Canada is less than great. OK...so Pixie-Dust has managed to make us a global joke. That can be easily rectified by voting the useless tit out on his bony little a55. But Canada has greatness built in. We have Newfies. Anyone who's ever gotten into a scrap with one, knows their value. We have the original Acadians and the Meritimers, Les Quebecois, the hearty stock of northern Ontario and Manitoba, the strong backs of the western rig-pigs, ranchers and farmers. Then there's BC...I'm sure there value there other than as hospitality workers We have the Native people, who helped us beat the Yankees once already. Indeed, the heart and strength is there. We just don't have the numbers. But we have something else that few nations can boast. Natural resources and the Northern Passage. I see on the horizon, a new government dedicated to "common sense". The common sense to close our borders, to promote family values, respect and honour. And to unravel the bureaucratic and regulatory mess we now have so that our resource rich nation can take full advantage of all of them. PLUS...as the Northern Passage becomes more reliable...we have the shortest route from the west to the east for shipping lines to line up and use...for a modest fee of course. Indeed...if we play our cards well, Canada can become one of the most prosperous and successful nations on this planet. "Greatness" is in our grasp Canada. TAKE IT!

Quite some time ago, I started a thread to find out which side...Liberal or Conservative...starts the nasty discourse. I bet you can guess which side started with the sh1t-slinging. I and many others have told you people several times...you started this culture war...but we Conservatives will finish it. And now we uneducated blockheads, are finishing it. I can say similar about Libbies. The gender bullsh1t and boys in girls' sports. They desire to pay out student loans. The sanctuary city and state crap. And David Frum is a failed Canadian journalist I believe? TDS still lives on with endless lies and unsubstantiated accusations like...Conservatives are all uneducated.

I'm not saying they all must be removed. Sure the redundant and useless should be removed, but more important, most institutions need a well deserved...attitude adjustment.

This thread has gotten stupid. Daniel Penny witnessed a crazy fck on the subway, threatening to kill passengers. He found himself honour-bound to take action to protect the passengers. That is not a crime, its a commendable act.!

Its a classic case of real cognitive dissonance. @Michael Hardner has admitted he knows the institutions have failed us. But he assumes we want to reject all of them, instead of fixing them. I think that's his way of dealing with his own conflict. He knows they are destructive, but wants to assign a blind and complete teardown of all institutions in order to maintain that we "chuds" are a problem...instead of a solution.
