Experiencing Technical Difficulties
herbie replied to herbie's topic in Health, Science and Technology
THe Bank called and asked me to drop off a stack of business cards. It's almost Christmas so the basket cases are clicking every phishing link and email they see. -
Yoon had an opposition. Didn't own the Courts, the Legislature and the Executive. Sometimes a 2nd amendment is needed if what Opposition left is still fumbling around for their own asses in the dark.

No longer a British colony, Canada becomes the 51st US state.

You seem to have lived down there too damn long, your brain has fried. Go clubbing in downtown Toronto with your MAGA hat and see if you can make it in the door. -
You can just walk into any govt office in BC and say "Hey! I'm a junkie, gimme fentanyl" and they have to. Free! It's true, I heard it from a guy. Everyone is saying that. They pick a random taxpayer with the computer and ding them $40 to pay for it. Or take the house you live in because you don't have the papers 20 years later proving where you got the money to buy it. If you protest they send you to gulags up north they call 'logging camps', and are short of doctors because they pay them the same as Wendys does. Yuh, yuh, yuh... what do them experts know anyways? Everyone knows they're stoopid.

Trump is being an arsehole, because that's what he is. And the USA has decided it likes arseholes because that's how the school bully kept others in line, so that's the natural order of things. I doesn't bother them or him if he breaks the very trade deals he bragged about "winning" or imposes a tariff on 60% of their imported oil because they think someone else pays the tariff and their gas will get even cheaper. Just like they have no idea they're paying $10k more to build their house and other countries should act like North Korea and seal their borders to protect them. No, no, everyone else is acting ignorant and entitled, that's what they are told by the arseholes they so love. -
Just how dumb are you? The point was they got nailed for refusing to fly the flag rather than simply not flying a rainbow flag. Got it? They made a f*cking point about the subject which was discriminatory and paid the price. WTF do you think, that an elected official can stand in front of a news camera and shout "I hate them fags, f*ck 'em" and that's their freedumb of speech? I suppose you're one of them arses demanding your town ban rainbow crosswalks too?

Neither. If Poland was still holding off Hitler at the frontier in 1941, they wouldn't have been shitting bricks. Who's threatening us that new guns and tanks will stop? Who's got a Navy that subs will? Will shiny new weapons cause a rush of recruits? Or do any of you sword wavers even know what the security threats are and modern warfare is? Has no one thought we need to start by giving a reason to sign up, like better pay? Like planes and carriers made battleships obsolete satellites, drones and missiles make bombers, armour and battle formations so too. It's 2024 not 1924.

As ignorant as Trump himself. Boorishness is next to Godliness, eh? -

Oh FFS the Old Orange Fool shows what a complete boor he is by saying such a thing and you disloyal pigs are criticizing our PM for it. Of course he was joking, but a total imbecile like Trump doesn't even have the sense of when or where to not blab such shit out loud. Are you offended he didn't offer to "buy" Canada like he did Greenland? -
Duh. That was how they sold the very idea to the public.

If military might is your definition of respect, go back to 1933 Germany please.

Certainly seems that the political right has a lock on the illiterati demographic.

I suppose if the mayor decides the city will not fly a Canadian Flag on Canada Day is just f*cking fine then? Their 'freedumb' to choose? There are 2 reasons not to fly a Pride flag, they don't have one or they don't have a flag pole. If they don't want to because they don't support it, that's grounds for what they got. If they just didn't and STFU about it, there would be no issue. They made the issue by refusing to. Wanna merely be an arsehole? It comes with consequences.

Australia launches bill to ban social media for children under 16

Held a service a couple years ago for the wife on a sunny hot day in the middle of summer. The park and the beach are around the corner about 150m from my house. Every single kid 10 to 18, cousins from distant towns who hadn't seen each other in months or years, friends they dragged along and the kids of local friends were inside the house piled on couches and the floor absorbed in their cell phones. None of them even asked my wifi password. Even the adults - there were like 3 that didn't have their phone on the picnic tables in front of them. This bullshit has to stop. Three kids in the backseat of my car on a 2 hours journey and I hear only the odd giggle. Their shoulders are rubbing and they're texting each other...... I wanted to smack a friend's wife in the head. Telling us all the reasons her kid in Grade 5 "needed" an iPhone. -
Keep in mind that those supporting a complete abandonment of ethics when it comes to politics are celebrating democracies biggest flaw. The 500 of us have decided the 499 of you and all those who didn't or couldn't vote are vermin. That's democracy at it's "finest".... in their book.

The rush to emulate Putin's kleptocracy of thieves continues. If you're a pervert, a diaper sniper, a tax evader or simple con-man you might get appointed as a henchman by The Penguin himself. Trump wants Charles Kushner, father of son-in-law Jared, as U.S. ambassador to France Pardoned by Trump 4 years ago after pleading guilty to tax evasion, illegal donations
