  1. Oh bullshit they are just raping and pillaging. They just laid off 300 members of the National Nuclear Security Administration then had to scramble to hire them back because they didn't even know what they do. Like oversea the nuclear stockpile, oversee the companies that make nukes and inspect weapons and facilities. You know, the kind of useless stuff. FFS they have given Musk a private citizen and world's richest man who donated over 250 million to Trump' campaign a carte blanche to do whatever he wants with government departments and their information. Can you really be this fvckng stupid?
  2. I believe that but how good would have those pack a day out of shape guys been if they were in shape non smokers. A majority of WW2 soldiers smoked but not many were overweight after going through a depression.
  3. Not surprised Canadian Brownshirts are supporting this. The will rant and rave about Covid restrictions yet support any of Trump and Musks abuses.
  4. Exactly, it will go from 1.2 trillion CAD to 31 trillion USD.
  5. Sheinbaum fires back. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/feb/14/mexico-gunmakers-lawsuit-terror Canada should join Mexico's suit. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/feb/13/claudia-sheinbaum-us-drug-cartel
  6. More blowback to Trump's BS. https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/business/2025/02/14/trade-dispute-has-made-outlook-for-new-pipelines-more-hopeful-tc-energy-cfo-says/
  7. The Canadian Army fought as a unit in WW1, commanded by Canadians even though overall command was British. Our regiments weren't split up among British brigades and divisions. There was a distinction.
  8. This election has gone from looking like a landslide to really exciting. Looking forward to it, whenever it is.
  9. Yes you did. Didn't really think about it.
  10. Newfoundland didn't become part of Canada until 1949. Their bloodbath was Beaumont Hamel.
  11. That was an Australian and Kiwi bloodbath, ours were Ypres, the Somme and Passendale. A nation of 7 million lost more than the US did in Vietnam. Almost 1% of our population. Would the US handle that kind of bloodbath today, even figuratively?
  12. Wonder how Trump will blame that on DEI.
  13. That's not true but then you wouldn't know because you never use it. He will also have plenty of opportunity during debates.
  14. Of course it would be concerning. PP is also going on about using the notwithstanding clause but that doesn’t seem to bother you.
  15. He didn’t say anything about postponing an election, he said they may be a factor in whether he calls one. The next scheduled election is in October unless the government loses a confidence motion.
  16. Trump strengthens Canadian nationalism. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6utoDGhoqs
  17. All of them have plans and so far none have been very specific about how they would carry them out or what they would cost. PP included. That is what I am waiting for.
  18. You read into it what you want, I listen to what the man says. He has said he would get rid of the carbon tax because it is too divisive, which it is, but keep the output based policy on big industrial emitters. He will provide incentives to make green choices, whatever that means. He will have to get much more specific. I'm waiting for the campaign and debates when candidates will have to be more specific and their promises costed, something PP hasn't done to date. Slogans will not be enough.
  19. Not like Tesla. In Europe, Tesla is way down, over 60% in France and 59% in Germany, way down in Scandinavian countries as well which are EV hotbeds. Overall EV sales in Europe were only down 3% in Europe last year.
  20. This is what Soros said, so who should we believe: him or you?
  21. One is an opinion piece in the Western Standard. Wow and you say you don't believe anything from the CBC because it is biased, The other is a post on X that specifically says green energy projects with an attached video where he doesn't mention them al all. It isn't up to me to go looking for sources to back up your claims. Government priorities are going to be dictated by what Trump does, regardless of who forms the next government.
  22. He doesn't say anything about green projects in that statement. He doesn't say what projects at all. That will have to come out in the election campaign. The difference between you and I is I actually listen to what he said, instead of repeating what someone else says he said.
