  1. You call centrists leftists and then accuse others of being divisive.
  2. Concentration of power in the PMO and iron party discipline is something we have done to ourselves and not a feature in many other parliamentary systems like the UK where it is not uncommon for MP's to vote against the party line. That is not a left or right issue, both parties have been responsible.
  3. The fact is, most Canadians are fundamentally centrist and they see the Liberals as being closer to the centre than the CPC. Until the loony fringe of the CPC gets that into their thick sculls, the party will remain in opposition.
  4. We all get only one vote. Trudeau should have been kicking horse turds down the road after the last election if the CPC could ever get its shit together. I'm tired of holding my nose regardless of how I vote. I want someone to give me something I can vote for.
  5. I don't "defend the left", whatever the hell that means. You have a black and white view of the world where everything is left or right with no in between.
  6. How do you know? Because we may disagree on something you reserve the right to label me whether it is accurate or not.
  7. You label people you don't agree with.
  8. It isn't an admission of anything. I owe nothing to someone who calls me names and if you think you will convince anyone of anything by doing so, you are a fool.
  9. Of course there is but there is also right and CPC. There are also a multitude of shades in between. That’s why labels are not an argument, they are the opposite. You won’t convince those shades in between by calling them names, you will do the opposite. None of your business.
  10. It means people like you who see the "left" as some kind of entity. Your labeling me is proof you are just as much of a problem.
  11. Oh bullshit, no one is destroying Canada except hyper partisans who think uniting the country is accomplished by yelling louder and listening less.
  12. Bull, all you do is go on about the left which is no more a single thing than the right.
  13. And yet you think your discourse is somehow unifying.
  14. I don't presume to know what Albertans will do, just that breaking up this country will be a bad thing for everyone.
  15. California is also on a coast. What international bodies?
  16. So you are advocating a civil war? Why not just try and make a good thing better for everyone instead of throwing rocks at each other.
  17. Geography would also be the enemy of the RoC. Canada would lose access to the Pacific and BC would be cut off from the rest of Canada. It would be a lose, lose for everyone.
  18. Hydro provides only 20% of BC's total energy needs, the rest comes from fossil fuels. https://www.huffpost.com/archive/ca/entry/dispelling-some-myths-about-british-columbias-energy-picture_b_7969110 Just over half the existing TransMountain capacity goes to Washington State refineries. The US would not take kindly to them being cut off. Both sides of the Alberta separation argument are talklng out of their asses.
  19. BC couldn't shut off the pipelines if it wanted to. BC gets almost all its petroleum and most of its refined product from Alberta and Washington State refineries which are supplied by those lines. Make no mistake, Alberta separation would be bad news for everyone.
  20. I don't get why the USAF used missiles on the last three. Why wouldn't they use their gun instead of an expensive missile?
  21. You wonder why people do things like this. She did a lot of good work when she was the children's advocate in BC.
  22. I’m sure a civilization so advanced they could reach us across intergalactic space would send something so rudimentary as a balloon that could be easily shot down by backward humans.
  23. Where is the US launching these spy balloons from? To reach China from the US they would have to cross the Atlantic, Europe and all of Russia.
  24. Seems NORAD is changing their criteria when it comes to radar returns and now monitoring things that were ignored or filtered out before because they were so slow. Most air traffic control uses SSR which really just sees the transponders carried by aircraft.
