  1. Spoken like a true fascist. He can’t even lose with grace and respectfully disagree with the decision. Does he realize he appointed 2 of those judges who disagreed with him that he falsely accused of being under “foreign influence”? Lol what? All dictators expand their powers that’s how they become dictators
  2. Nope he’s doing everything he can to expand his powers, and has already attacked the judges, falsely accusing them of being under “foreign influence” and vowing to use other laws to circumvent them. Standard dictator stuff . Just because a villain’s plans are occasionally thwarted doesn’t mean he’s not actually a villain.
  3. That makes ZERO sense. The tariffs were a new tax on Americans imposed by Trump. None of those has anything to do with non-existent COVID mandates Does it mean MAGAtards will go back to claiming the Supreme Court is illegitimate again?
  4. Regardless of what you PERSONALLY did or what your selective memory conveniently has forgotten, the right obsessed over Epstein for years when they wrongly thought the scandal only involved Clinton and Democrats.
  5. Your analogy is wrong If a bank got robbed by my BEST FRIEND and I was questioned about it, as a criminal associate, that doesn’t prove I had no involvement. It certainly doesn’t prove I am an upstanding citizen. At worst it means I associate with degenerates. Look we all know that NOBODY BESIDES EPSTEIN was charged. The Republican Bush administration and Epstein’s Republican lawyers made sure Epstein got a sweet deal and nobody else was investigated Nobody assumes that means nobody besides Epstein did anything wrong. Especially when you consider that Trump then rewarded the people involved in that sweetheart deal and conveniently took Epstein into custody where he promptly died under suspicious circumstances
  6. Striking down his ridiculous and blatantly illegal “Liberation Day” tariffs which are one the centrepieces of his administration is definitely a major blow. Now the US government will have major financial problems returning the tariff taxes he illegally took from millions of Americans . Major blow indeed. Yep, a year later, in a rare exception to the norm.
  7. Supreme Court strikes down most of Trump's tariffs in a major blow to the president WASHINGTON — Delivering a major blow to President Donald Trump, the Supreme Court on Friday ruled that he exceeded his authority when imposing sweeping tariffs using a law reserved for a national emergency. The justices, divided 6-3, held that Trump's aggressive approach to tariffs on products entering the United States from across the world was not permitted under a 1977 law called the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). The ruling was authored by Chief Justice John Roberts, who was joined by three liberal justices and two fellow conservatives, Justices Neil Gorsuch and Amy Coney Barrett, in the majority. "The president asserts the extraordinary power to unilaterally impose tariffs of unlimited amount, duration and scope," Roberts wrote. But the Trump administration "points to no statute" in which Congress has previously said that the language in IEEPA could apply to tariffs, he added. As such, "we hold that IEEPA does not authorize the president to impose tariffs," Roberts wrote. … It is a rare setback for the administration at the Supreme Court, which has a 6-3 conservative majority, since Trump began his second term in January. The decision does not affect all of Trump's tariffs, leaving in place ones he imposed on steel and aluminum using different laws, for example. But it upends his tariffs in two categories. One is country-by-country or “reciprocal” tariffs, which range from 34% for China to a 10% baseline for the rest of the world. The other is a 25% tariff Trump imposed on some goods from Canada, China and Mexico for what the administration said was their failure to curb the flow of fentanyl. Trump could seek to reimpose some tariffs, using other laws. Companies that had to pay the tariffs may be able to seek a refund from the Treasury Department. Hundreds havealready sued. The court did not directly address that issue, but Kavanaugh, in dissent, said the effect on the U.S. Treasury could be significant. "The Court says nothing today about whether, and if so how, the Government should go about returning the billions of dollars that it has collected from importers," he wrote. … https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/supreme-court/supreme-court-strikes-trumps-tariffs-major-blow-president-rcna244827
  8. So what. He was questioned about Epstein because he was Epstein’s best buddy. It’s common for police to question a criminal’s closest associates. It doesn’t mean they’re all innocent, just that they’re not the focus of that particular investigation. It’s hilarious how the right went from obsessing over Epstein to completely ignoring it just as soon as Trump’s Epstein associations and his attempts to cover it up come to light. You people are truly a cult
  9. The first obvious falsehood is the suggestion that nobody knew who Epstein was jn 2015 when that was already years after he had been convicted and Conservatives had been screeching about alleged Epstein-Clinton connections. Of course Trump knew about Epstein he was one of Epstein’s closest friends and had been on Epstein’s Lolita Express multiple times and lied about it.
  10. 1) In no way shape or form is that a concentration of power 2) Trump has concentrated all power on his throne so yes half the population not only tolerates it but cheers it on
  11. Do tou actually believe the lies and fake news you post on here or are someone who knowingly spread things you know to be lies. I usually tend to think you’re one of the righties who is more stupid than dishonest but it’s often really hard to tell with you.
  12. Trump supporters now believe in attacking foreign countries to aid their citizens now? What ever happened to pretending that Democrats were the warmongers and claiming Ukraine should unilaterally surrender because peace above all else? No wonder Warmonger Trump, who is on his way to attacking his 7th country since he took office LAST YEAR, had to get one of his corrupt FIFA sycophants to award him a fake peace prize and then steal Machado’s real one.
  13. I notice these “trans” shooters are all male > female trans. And just about all the non-trans shooters of which there are HUNDREDS every year are male. Statistics still show that transgender shooters are a statistical zero compared to all shooters So the real commonality is just biological men regardless or race, religion ethnicity or gender identity are shooters. But I doubt any of the conservatives on here would support any profiling on that level because they only believe in discrimination that doesn’t include THEM personally.
  14. Except you conveniently left out the parts where you said: he doesn't want to cross the floor.” he’ll still be here to vote against the budget because he doesn't want to work with the liberals he's leaving politics. But he still supports the CPC And also from another post where you said You have been repeatedly wrong throughout this thread and stating objectively incorrect statements about how the budget and parliament works, blissfully ignorant that opposition parties propose amendments to the government’s budget and how the conservatives fouled that up (perhaps intentionally) while talking about non-existent “second readings” which aren’t a thing for budget bills. But the reason I am rubbing the salt in the wound here is because while making all these glaring basic errors of fact you wee insulting and falsely accusing others of not knowing what they were talking about when they were trying to educate you, which is a particularly annoying habit of yours.
  15. You are so deranged you don’t know what you’re talking about or complaining about. Carney didn’t cause this inflation but he’s giving Canadians a break on their taxes to help them manage affordability issues that Trump’s trade war on the world is exacerbating amd in some cases causing. And ye it comes back to Trump when a Trump worshipper like yourself tries to criticize others for things that are also happening under Trump and because of Trump Carney is leading in the polls and conservatives are crossing the floor to his team because people agree they are doing the right thing. Meanwhile Poilievre is increasingly unpopular and Trump has the lowest approval ratings in recent history
  16. LOL cheering that your team is winning is why republicans are supporting all of Trump’s abuse and corruption, mismanagement and even worse inflation, which in Trump’s case is largely self-inflicted with his stupid tariff tax on his own people. Anything to “pwn” the libs! Meanwhile in Canada there are also rebates for cost of living and groceries and the EV rebates are also for affordable EVs.
  17. Wow this post sure didn’t age well LMAO
  18. Just what we said would happen just a few months ago, while the conservative members of this forum shrieked their denials and insisted he was still a true blue conservative leaving politics for personal reasons. The best thing that ever happened to conservatives on this forum was disabling the search feature so they never have admit when they’re wrong.
  19. Conservative MP Matt Jeneroux crosses the floor to join the Liberals OTTAWA—Conservative MP Matt Jeneroux has crossed the floor putting the Liberal government within reach of a majority. Prime Minister Mark Carney made the announcement on social media Wednesday morning saying the Edmonton MP is joining the Liberal caucus. “I am honoured to welcome Matt Jeneroux to our caucus as the newest member of Canada’s new government,” said Carney online. “Building a stronger, more resilient, and more independent country will require ambition, collaboration, and occasionally, sacrifice. I am grateful to Matt and his family that he will continue his service as a strong voice for Edmonton Riverbend in Parliament.” Last fall, amid rumours that he was preparing to cross the floor, Jeneroux announced that he would instead resign his seat in Parliament sometime this spring. In his own statement posted online, Jeneroux said after talking with his family and constituents he realizes now he can best serve the country from the Liberal benches. “The events of the past year, and even of recent weeks, have presented Canada with unprecedented new global pressures on our prosperity, and accelerated threats to our sovereignty and unity,” he said. “For Canada, this is a moment that demands steady leadership, constructive collaboration between all parliamentarians, and a willingness to stand up and serve even when the path is not easy.” There are currently three vacant seats in Parliament where Carney is expected to hold byelections. The Liberals held those seats prior to them becoming vacant and if they continue to do so after the byelections the party will have a majority government. https://www.thestar.com/politics/federal/conservative-mp-matt-jeneroux-crosses-the-floor-to-join-the-liberals/article_589d86cb-9da9-4058-b7f8-04cb27c83ba5.html
  20. True but there is correlation between the two. Being a toxic combative SOB means people will not be open to your ideas or to cooperating with you. Most “great” ideas usually require collaboration or cooperation to refine them to their final form and always when it comes to actual execution.
  21. Omg is this stupid fake news thread still going? Here is CBC coverage with supposed “embarrassing” line - which is not embarrassing at all - completely intact https://www.cbc.ca/player/play/video/9.7053609 And here is a CBC article entitled “Carney and the nee world order” https://www.cbc.ca/radio/frontburner/mark-carney-and-the-new-world-order-9.7052164 This thread is so fking stupid, just regurgitating social media fake news slop
  22. 1) As I said that’s fascist talk and fascist logic 2) Your alleged misconduct of Obama and Biden is false and/or grossly exaggerated. It’s all just a convenient excuse for the unlimited corruption and depravity of the Trump regime, which you hope to make a permanent feature of American society.
  23. No it’s clear you haven’t and you’re just bluffing. The affidavit for the search warrant just cited old debunked claims from 2020: Following the November 3, 2020, presidential election, there were many allegations of electoral impropriety relating to the voting process and ballot counting in Fulton County, Georgia. Some of those allegations have been disproven while some of those allegations have been substantiated, including through admissions by Fulton County.” To be clear there was NO substantiated “impropriety” or admissions from the county There were random human errors and gaps that they admitted to but nothing that established any pattern of misconduct or skewed the results in one way or another The investigation was referred to the FBI by a Trump-appointed election denier conspiracy kook. Tulsi Gabbard whose portfolio doesn’t even include this investigation was personally on scene in Georgia providing Trump live updates over the phone as it unfolded. This witch hunt came from the top Again there is ZERO evidence Biden ordered the search of mar-a-lago and it is a fact that Trump stole those documents and lied about having them. We aaw them carting those boxes away. You can’t pretend that he didn’t take them and that it was somehow a political persecution to take them back. You are seriously asking how is it fascist to say that corruption and abuse of power is justified to “teach a lesson” to your critics and political rivals? You’re right there is no conspiracy. Trump actually did take those documents amd lie about it. And we have the record of the National Archives going back and forth with Trump’s people quietly trying to get them back long before the case was referred to FBI. Unlike this nonsense. But this reminds me of something else because on the Venezuela thread you had claimed that the fact that the military followed Trump’s orders PROVED the attack was justified. You said that I was suggesting an absurd grand “conspiracy” in the military because if Trump’s orders weren’t justified the military would simply refuse to obey (after also suggesting military have no right to disobey illegal orders, another twist of the pretzel logic). But now here you are suggesting that under Biden the DOJ amd FBI followed his unjustified orders By your own logic either the fact that the search warrant carried out on Trump was justified because otherwise it’s an absurdly implausible conspiracy. Which is it. Like I already pointed out that’s exactly what the fascists say. Whether or not you have remorse is irrelevant. We all know republicans are incapable of remorse. No sane person could honestly believe that after Trump’s reign of vindictive vengeful political abuse for “payback”that there will come a point where everyone will be satisfied and everything will go back to being rainbows and butterflies and rule of law will return. It’s absurd to think that. . The path Trump is taking America down is a one-way street. Trump is trying to NORMALIZE these abuses and them a ROUTINE FEATURE. not a bug of American politics. Your argument has no moral or ethical ground to stand on It feels good to abuse people you hate bit that is not a valid argument FURTHERMORE let’s not pretend that Trump’s abuse is simply aimed at punishing democrats. He also goes after fellow republicans. He lines his own pockets with bribes. He shakes down and extorts American businesses and causing long-term damage to entire sectors of the economy. He’s destroying alliances. None of this has anything to do with punishing Democrats. Does that feel good?
  24. The 2020 election was over 5 years ago. Thanks to Trump’s lies it was the most investigated and audited election ever and not one SHRED of evidence was found to support any of those election lies. And there is no new evidence for those investigation it’s just the same old debunked claims. Meanwhile Trump actually DID steal those files and have them hidden in Mar-a-Lago and actually DID lie about having them. Spoken like a true fascist Only a fascist would say that. Pretending for one minute that your Biden DOJ conspiracies were even true, anyone who truly believed in democracy would say “never again” not “now my turn, but 10 times worse”. The people who say the later reveal their true motives. Only a fool would think that the way to end corruption and abuse of power is to become the most corrupt and abusive regime ever just to “teach people a lesson”. I mean the argument doesn’t even make sense logically. Do you really think Trump being so corrupt in his second term somehow proves he was wrongly accused of corruption in his first term? And then there’s the issue that most of your “Biden DOJ” claims are greatly exaggerated if not false and every day that you openly endorse Trump’s actual corruption and abuse in plain sight you only prove the accusations against him were warranted in the first place.
