  1. No you don’t understand this thread. As usual. Nobody is saying lying George Santos changed the honest and honourable Republican Party into a party of liars. The OP states quite clearly that the Republican Party has degenerated so much thanks to shameless bald face liars from Trump to MTG that people like Santos are the new normal now. As fo Biden you seem to be mistaken that people worship him as a superman the same way you worship Trump and Tucker. We don’t. We are adults who understand that Biden’s a politician and all politicians lie. We don’t have your juvenile need to worship at the feet of a GREAT AND MIGHTY INFALLIBLE SAVIOUR and unlike most Republicans we are mature enough to know such people don’t really exist. That said the lies a d dangerous false conspiracy beliefs of the MAGA leaders take things to levels never seen before and in ways that threaten society and democracy itself THE BIG LIE, the assault on the capitol, the Whitmer kidnapping plot and support Vladimir Putin are all clear examples… as are your lies and conspiracies to try and justify/minimize deny these things
  2. Another day of being amused at Republicans expense. The repeated failures of your party in congress are hilarious.
  3. Lol no I don’t. I don’t worship any politicians or pundits as goods the way you folks do. I understand what I read and I develop my own opinions. You parrot propaganda that you don’t even understand and subscribe to all sorts of crazy conspiracies and beliefs that are not just false but don’t even make sense I bet you can’t even tell the difference between something that is false but makes sense and something that is false and doesn’t even make sense. In the mind of your brainwashed MAGA ilk anything you wish to be true is automatically true and anything you wish to be false is automatically false. Your entire system of “knowledge” if you can even call it that is based on “memorizing” the things you want to believe to be true rather than “understanding” and thinking them This focus on memorizing rather than understanding is why you’re so easily suckered by improbable and gibberish beliefs.
  4. 1. I wonder what time period that was. Pre-WW2? Pre-Depression? But at any rate subsequent generations were able to do better. The factory work wasn’t a muti-generational poverty trap for those who stay in the job. 2. Yes and this is how populists and conservatives make inroads with people. They know many people tend make decisions based on emotion and narrow self-interest, and less so on facts and reason. Neoliberalism relies on people only using the first 2 due to the fact that the world is a complex place and people today are busier and more self-centred than ever. Everything boils down to “Get MAD that something is being TAKEN FROM YOU” (e.g. taxes) or “GET MAD that someone else is getting something that YOU DON’T” (e.g public benefits) or GET MAD they YOU’RENOT ALLOWED TO DO WHATEVER YOU WANT” (eg own a bunch of prohibited firearms). 3. Yes its the job of government to provide services demanded by the people in response to realities of modern life. Government does so using pooled resources collected from the people. Neoliberalism opposes any sort of pooled or cooperative activity on the part of citizens. Notably neoliberalism does not object to pooled or collective action on the part of businesses or ultra-wealthy….to the extent that neoliberals will even acknowledge such things exist they portray them as “natural market forces.”
  5. Just because you’re easily suckered in by baseless conspiracies and you apply ZERO reasoning to any of your superstitious beliefs doesn’t mean things you don’t understand are “substandard reasoning”. Your whole “reasoning” if you can even call it that is: “Because Tucker Carlson said so”
  6. ^ Proved correct again within a matter of minutes
  7. You just can’t handle inconvenient truths The more you respond with empty generic insults, and nothing of substance, the more you prove me correct
  8. Remember in the 1990s when the right’s BIG CONSPIRACY was that the UN was trying to “take over the world” and was secretly controlled by the Russians who were secretly still Communist and had staged a fake collapse of the USSR ? ?
  9. Considering that Russia is supposedly a global superpower and they’re getting their ass handed to them by a second-rate country that barely had any military to speak of at the time of invasion…..I would say the Russian army collapsed long before this invasion started and this conflict is just confirmation of that.
  10. Go ahead and cheer on Russia and Iran killing innocent civilians. That shows your true colours alright. But hey: Did you hear about the recent Ukrainian HIMARS attack that killed hundreds of Russian soldiers with just 4 rockets? The incompetent Russian army commanders figured that there’s no harm in having all their troops sleep together in a large group right next to an ammo dump that’s within range of enemy artillery. Some people just have to learn the hard way.
  11. Whatever, get back to me when the Russian army actually succeeds
  12. It was Republicans who got Trumps longtime buddy Epstein the sweetheart deal and Trump very recently used the same Republican lawyer Epstein did - a Republican lawyer who recently had to resign from a university position for covering up sex crimes that happened there. And then Trump suddenly takes Epstein into custody where almost immediately he suspiciously and conveniently dies ….Obviously Hillary did it. ?
  13. Wrong. Its defending because he’s whining that this rapist sex trafficker is being treated too harshly and he’s worried that the rapist sex trafficker is getting a worse deal than the sweetheart deal Republicans arranged for Epstein.
  14. Ukraine Is Already Paying Us Back Our investments in Ukrainian democracy are paying off. Now is not the time to pull back. DANIEL TWINING Daniel Twining is the president of the International Republican Institute (IRI), a nonpartisan nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing democracy worldwide. IRI has worked in Ukraine for nearly 30 years. Ukraine is doing something no one thought possible: defeating the Russian army and, in doing so, crippling one of America’s most dangerous adversaries. This is primarily a credit to the fortitude, patriotism, and skill of the Ukrainian people. But it’s also something Americans can take pride in — and not just because of our decisive role supplying weaponry and training. For decades, Washington has invested in supporting the institutions that enabled Ukraine to take a different path than Russia, a path toward democracy and independence and away from autocracy and subservience, and to tackle corruption to serve citizens instead of fostering kleptocracy to steal from them. … When Ukraine set about forging its democracy after breaking free from the Soviet empire in 1991, it faced an uphill battle. Nearly 70 years under communism had left Ukraine with weak institutions ill-equipped to manage the transition to the free market. Ukrainians were unfamiliar with democratic processes and norms. As in other former Soviet republics, the mismanaged privatization of state-owned enterprises created an oligarch class that left Ukraine’s government vulnerable to corruption and manipulation by the Kremlin. Extraordinarily, Ukrainians have had three peaceful revolutions to push its course towards freedom — the break from Soviet control in 1991, the 2004 Orange Revolution ushering in pro-Western leadership and the 2014 Revolution of Dignity that deposed a Kremlin-backed president in favor of a pro-European future. This ushered in a new phase of reforms to strengthen the parliament, foster an independent judiciary, advance electoral integrity, decentralize decision-making and combat corruption. Because of these efforts, Ukraine now has strong governing institutions — so strong that they have continued to function under the onslaught of Russia’s attack in the biggest war in Europe since the 1940s. The Ukrainian people have created an independent democratic alternative to the vassal state Putin seeks — one that is worth fighting for. It is an outcome American tax dollars made possible by supporting programs to build democratic institutions from the ground up, beginning in the early days of independence and continuing today. With strong bipartisan support, nonprofits like the International Republican Institute and the National Democratic Institute have worked with partners in Ukraine to establish and strengthen core elements of democracy — including transparent electoral processes, a vibrant multiparty system, devolution of power and rule of law. …. The resilience shown by Ukraine’s democratic institutions in the face of existential threat demonstrates not only the wisdom of America’s investment, but the reliability of Ukraine’s stewardship of U.S. assistance. It’s also a rejoinder to autocratic adversaries like Russia and China that peddle the fiction that some countries or cultures simply aren’t suited to democracy .…. The worst possible outcome for Vladimir Putin would be for Ukraine not only to emerge victorious, but even more resolutely committed to pursuing a democratic, pro-Western future. If that happens, the return on America’s investment in Ukraine’s democracy would be incalculable. https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2023/01/04/ukraine-democracy-investment-00076180
  15. LMAO that was 2 out of 14. There you go again pretending a grain of sand is a mountain and a mountain is a grain of sand How about all those who were found or pleaded GUILTY? “Pay no attention! Pay no attention!”
  16. It will last a lifetime and then some
  17. Right on cue, once again you resort to lame generic Insults when you get owned. Yeah you are no good at this, man
  18. Yeah he is: “but but it’s not as bad as Epstein”. And FTR: Epstein got a ridiculous sweetheart deal from his Republican lawyer Ken Starr (who was recently Trump’s impeachment lawyer) and the Republican administration of George W Bush. How’s that for a “fact-based discussion” @WestCanMan?
  19. LMAO now defending rape and human trafficking. Anything to “pwn” the libs. The MAGA cesspool has no bottom.
  20. False. You’re “kind of hoping Russia utterly destroys Ukraine”. Your words buddy once again shoved down your throat. You are terrible at this.
  21. No I’m loving how incompetent they are. Their repeated failures are very amusing.
  22. Of course criminals always hate law enforcement. All but 2 of your Michigan kidnap plotters who have seen trial have been convicted or pleaded guilty. The jury has spoken. Literally. The use of informants to catch criminals is not new or controversial
  23. You keep asking us that and we keep showing you. Do you have dementia or something? You said it right here:
  24. It really sucks to be Russian
