  1. You mean you with many others have pretty much done your best to condition some poor souls into expecting that? You think speech is entirely insignificant even though it can lead to the worst crimes? Mu`adh bin Jabal (radiallahu anh) reported: I asked the Messenger of Allah (salallahu 'alayhi wa sallam): "Inform me of an act which will cause me to enter Jannah and keep me far from Hell.'' He (salallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) replied, "You have asked me about a matter of great importance, but it is easy for one for whom Allah makes it easy.'' He added, "Worship Allah, associate nothing with Him in worship, offer As-Salat (the prayer), pay the Zakat, observe Saum (fasting) during Ramadan and perform Hajj (pilgrimage) to the House of Allah, if you can afford it.'' He (salallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) further said, "Shall I not guide you to the gates of goodness? Fasting is a screen (from Hell), charity extinguishes (i.e., removes) the sins as water extinguishes fire, and standing in prayers by a slave of Allah during the last third part of the night.'' Then he recited: "Their sides forsake their beds, to invoke their Rubb in fear and hope, and they spend (in charity in Allah's Cause) out of what We have bestowed on them. No person knows what is kept hidden for them of joy as a reward for what they used to do.'' (32:17,18) Then he added, "Shall I tell you of the root of the matter, its pillar and its highest point?'' I replied: "Yes! Certainly, O Prophet of Allah.'' He said, "The root of this matter (foundation) is Islam, its pillar (mainstay is) As-Salat (the prayer) and its highest point is Jihad (fighting in the Cause of Allah).'' Then he asked, "Shall I tell you of that which holds all these things?'' I said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah.'' So he took hold of his tongue and said, "Keep this in control.'' I asked: "O Messenger of Allah! Shall we really be accounted for what we talk about?'' He replied, "May your mother lose you! People will be thrown on their faces into the Hell on account of their tongues.' The name is the first problem. What jihad watch? The name of the site says, "I know nothing about Islam," the content tries to say, "this is Islam."
  2. Everyone already knows that. I'm confused. They say bystanders tackled the suspect, took his knives and pinned him down before the police arrived. And then it says the police shot him dead. What did I miss?
  3. You are underestimating the police. They have access to something more than the papers you choose to read. What would be the use of terrorists committing crimes in secret?
  4. That is the general rule. Not always, but usually it does as far as my experience goes. Evidence? Has it occurred to you that the officials of different countries may find hate speech and related phenomena to cause a lot of trouble? There is a big difference between criticism and hate speech. Criticism can be done in a sophisticated manner. A person can be both right and offending at the same time. Being right doesn't excuse them being offending though.
  5. Knowing that it doesn't. Most converts to Islam in the West are women.
  6. There was no mention of machetes in the article from Wikipedia. They are really just long knives. I suspects it's been known to people for some time now that knives can be used as a weapon. And then, there just aren't that many guns in UK.
  7. I used the word 'organized terrorism' because the word 'terrorism' by itself is vague. I think we all know where the focus is here.
  8. It said in 2017 during one two month period there were 928 crimes involving machetes, which has been counted to having been an average of one every 90 minutes. I do suspect if we count how many were before, say, attacks with knives involved, the amount wouldn't be shockingly less... Just a guess. Did you decide this was the reason? I can't find the word 'machete' from it.
  9. Oh I see, you read it too. It's strange you bring it up even though it said nothing about organized terrorism. Unless you count the mention of the two individuals of whom I don't know if they were part of any organized activity.
  10. Somehow I expected her to deduce that I am a female after I picked a female for my profile picture. I am, but that looks like a niqab to me. Even if it was a burqa by name — her hands show, her eyes show, it would be like a niqab. It would be difficult for an actual properly worn burqa to look pretty since it shows nothing of a person. It's dehumanizing if one is unwilling to wear it. I doubt you'd find all niqab wearing woman ugly. Within the laws of the country it is. I hear that often. I have never heard anyone say it should be forced on anyone. Even those who do probably mostly do so to their family members, in which case it is most likely not an issue of right and wrong at all, but a qestion of perception of honor and respect. But you just said you're not okay with them.? No, it's not. I just like the pic. I don't wear a niqab. It's also useful to be recognized as a Muslim right away.
  11. I searched machete attacks and got nearly nothing related to terrorism. Then I searched "machete attacks terrorists" and got about one per year starting from 2013. I also found an article saying that UK has had a significant increase in machetes used in "murders, rapes, robberies and burglaries". One reason possibly being that the police has stopped 'stop & search'. What did you find?
  12. Hey, I'm not a fan of your profile picture either. I still talk to you.
  13. Really? I've always thought the only thing they indicate is taste in general. Why don't you reply to my actual words?
  14. Do you have access to such information?
  15. "Islam" is a religion. It isn't capable of action in itself. I'm sure you realise that's an absurd statement.
  16. I don't care if some Muslims somewhere refuse to have dogs in their cab. The question with Daniel Pipes is obviously how misleading his bs is. They also refuse, drunken passangers and sick people. It's their affair who they drive and where. It isn't ideal to take a dog in a cab anyway. Surely someone with a dog will ask when they call the cab, can I bring my dog? Kind of like some people bring their dogs to buses and trains where they're not supposed to be. A sign with a dog and a red line over it means no dogs. It has a significance, but dog lovers think everyone should love their dog as much as they do.
  17. That's not evidence. And if you read amnesty's news letters you'll be convinced in two weeks that the human race has turned somehow more evil suddenly, or if you read WWF's newsletters you'll be convinced the earth will fail us withing two years and start growing vegetables on your balcony. That's what the 'information' is for. Not saying it isn't real. Much of it can be. But if you think about real statistics and compare them to other countries and then check how exactly they use your charity you'll see they're after your money more than anything. It's not enough it's from Daniel Pipes? Why do I feel that if I were you I'd say, "you have to prove it. You're the one making the claim." You already know your source isn't credible and neither are you.
  18. Your argumentation starts to sound like DoP and Argus. Gotta watch what company you keep. What is your evidence for what you say?
  19. Their saliva is considered impure. Not the dog. Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) cared for dogs. That's why one day he was told angels don't enter houses with dogs in them. Because he had a dog in his house one night. But who knows what it meant. He also ordered to kill dogs and other animals with rabies. Maybe the angel was referring to rabies? Maybe it wasn't a continuous order?
  20. That's nothing new. "adopted" children aren't considered the "adoptive parent's" children in Islam. Even the Qur'an speaks about marrying them. The rape of a minor part is all in your head of course.. Tawhidi is a fake Shia Imam. He says he has a bachelor's degree and a masters degree from Iranian Al-Mustafa University in islamic theology. Al-Mustafa University publicly affirms he has neither. He apparently has a connection to Grand Ayatollah Sayid Sadiq Husseini Shirazi whom he reveres and yet denies that his views have any connection with those of his teacher. His connection with his teacher in Islam is "private" apparently. He's known for making hate comments regarding Sunni Muslims and their books. He doesn't have a mosque. He isn't really recognized by anyone in the Islamic world except, apparently and possibly, by Grand Ayatollah Sayid Sadiq Husseini Shirazi. "In spite of given warnings and notifications, the above-named person did not take heed of them each time and had not satisfactory academic record in his courses … he was placed on probation and [dropped] out on March 27, 2012 … the aforesaid person has no educational degree (or any given score) in his profile … Al-Mustafa University does not recommend Mohammad Touhidi for lecturing in any way. Accordingly, he has no competency to do religious activities or to preach sermons." https://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2017-06-23/imam-tawhidi-the-problem-with-the-medias-favourite-muslim/8643726?pfmredir=sm Nice try anyway, Scribblet. You hang in there.
  21. Obviously you haven't met any. If you see a Muslim man (husband or single) in the west he's more than likely to be what could well be considered "progressive".
  22. It doesn't have to be black. Many do wear lighter colours, but it doesn't matter gthey probably won't be sitting in the sun. It protects from the sun as well though. Yes, it hotter than shorts and a light shirt. Yes, I've worn both.... Just saying if you choose all garments right it is much better than what people expect. But then you have to be able to endure occasional discomfort - like all people do when it's really hot.
  23. It is the presidents job first and foremost to represent the goverment. After that come the ministers. The other little people just do a regular job. And yes, a goverment employee can be Religious and dress so. It takes nothing away from the goverment. I'm sure the woman would very glad for that. Especially since the husband is paying for their living anyway.. Devoted? Most Muslim house wives go to the grocery themselves if they feel like it or if it fits their schedule. Muslims women who never leave their house are extremely rare. And no, you can't recognize them from the terrifying niqab. A Muslim woman's dress is actually very comfortable and not very hot. It is so wide it only is against the body around the shoulders and somewhat the arms. And they know how to dress underneath and what materials to use. Sometimes I'm embarrassed to read all your comments.
  24. There are plenty of women who like wearing it.
