America under President Trump
Yzermandius19 replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Maybe he should stop defending every communist regime under the sun, the dude has basically never met a communist he didn't like and he has sung their praises for decades. It's not Bernie Derangement Syndrome to point out he's a commie sympathizer, that's simply an accurate description, there is so much proof of it that it's undeniable to anyone with half of a brain. -

You ignore the data that shows he is highly popular, and then assume some people walking out of a 100,000 person stadium means everyone hates him. -

Bribing the Indians into dependence is not the way to let the Indians up, that's how you hold them down. -

The "Green Fascists" have already taken over Canada, and it will incite a right wing backlash when the bill comes due on their watch and people can't afford to blow money on their boondoggles anymore, until then the "Authoritarian Capitalists" are going nowhere around here. Canada likely won't even be a nation anymore when that backlash comes, or it won't be for much longer after it does. -

The "Green Fascists" do more fake news, political control of the justice system, cronyism and protectionism than the "Authoritarian Capitalists", so I'm gonna have to go with "Authoritarian Capitalism" hands down on that one. Obvious lesser of evils is obvious. Green Fascism ain't winning any election in America any time soon, the Democrats can't run on that platform and win. I disagree with your whole notion that both political parties are moving towards the extreme's, it's just the Democrats and only for now, they can't keep it up without continuing to lose, also Trump is moving the Republicans away from the far right, not towards it. The Democrats are becoming more extreme, but doing so will not win them elections, the Republicans are becoming less extreme, and doing so will help them win elections, moving towards the extreme's is a loser politically speaking, therefore if that trend started to happen, it would eventually self correct after losing all the time makes them change course or perish. -

Wrong Canada is moving towards the Chinese and Russian model, and America is holding the line against that nonsense. Trump has taken America away from the Chinese or Russian model, while Russia and China double down and Canada gets in bed with the Chicoms. America was closer to the Chinese or Russian model under Obama than under Trump and even then America was nowhere close to the Chinese or Russian model. The sky is not falling, and if you don't want America to move in the direction of the Chinese or Russian model, Bernie Sanders is that guy, not Donald Trump. -

The Trump haters refuse to believe that every foreign nation that isn't also a nation they hate could like Trump. The only nations that like Trump that they will concede, are nations that they view to be the bad guys. -

As bad as the Republic of Zeitgeist is, the Hereditary Chiefdom of Eyeball is far worse. -

If you want to let the Indians up, you can't do that in Confederation. Confederation is all about keeping the french in, keeping the americans out, and keeping the indians down. -

Trying to negate the results of elections is not democracy in action, that's the exact opposite. -

He did not slur all latinos, he slurred illegal immigrants who happen to be rapists and drug dealers, some of whom happen to be latino. You may not be able to tell the difference, but I can. -

Yet I didn't hear the media claiming it was racist until Trump thought it was a good idea. When Clinton wanted to do it, then it was just common sense. -

Last I checked, Spain is not a race, Mexico is not a race, Illegal Immigrants are not a race. Claims of Trump being "racist" for wanting to build a border wall to reduce illegal immigration are just ridiculous on the face of it. -

Build the wall is an anti-illegal immigration chant. Trump didn't call all Latino's rapists, he said some were good people, and some were rapists, the same could be said about any group, it's not racist to point out that rapists exist among illegal immigrants, especially when people getting raped by Coyotes is such a big issue when crossing the border illegally, which is obviously what Trump was referring to. If you honestly think that Trump thinks all latino's or even all illegal immigrants are rapists, even the little babies, you have to be absolutely insane. -

I see no parallel because I'm not wearing Godwin's colored glasses. Build That Wall is not an anti-latino chant, it's an anti-illegal immigration chant, not that a racist like yourself can tell the difference, as you seem to assume all illegal immigrants are latino or that walls are only a barrier to people of a certain race. I don't know how else someone could be lead to believe that building a border wall is racist, unless they are projecting their own racism on the concept. -

It's like I say, wishful thinking is a helluva drug. The Thunberg Cult is a prime example. The key to advancing civilization is Liberty. Liberty attracts wealth, and with wealth comes a lower birth rate. Birth control takes care of itself as civilization advances and people on aggregate choose to have less kids for self serving reasons, there are no first world nations with huge birth control issues for example, it's a third world problem predominantly. The societies that have a birth rate around replacement levels also tend to be the freest and wealthiest societies, and the societies that have the highest birth rates tend to be the least free and wealthy societies. -

No. The wall is being built, and Mexico paying for it was never important, it was just a fun chant at a rally. -

You simply want to create a narrative in your head that allows you to easily dismiss my criticism of your criticism without having to critically reflect on the holes in your logic. Talk about intellectually lazy, you can't address the argument points so you just claim bias is the only reason I hold my opinion, when I claim you are being biased, I at least put forward an argument as to why that is the case and why your argument sucks, which is far less lazy than what you are doing, which is just claiming bias with no explanation, just to shut down a discussion you know you are losing. I like your criticisms of Corbyn because they are more well thought through, if you applied the same rigor to your criticisms of Trump and Bojo, I would tell you so, you just don't. If you go reaching to attack Corbyn, I'll still call you out on it, no matter how much I dislike the dude, you just do that less often than you do with Trump and Bojo, hence I call you out for the latter a lot more often. If you start attacking Corbyn for dubious reasons as often as the other two, I'll call you out for Corbyn Derangement Syndrome as often as I call you out for TDS and BDS. -

Not true at all. You just pick your battles very poorly when it comes to Trump and Bojo and you don't like that I call you out on it. When you pick your battles better, I give you credit for it, when you don't, I don't give you credit for a thing you didn't do. -

That's because your attacks on Corbyn are far better than your attacks on Bojo. With Corbyn you know you are biased against him and wear it as a badge of honor but you don't need to reach to attack him and don't do it nearly as often, but with Bojo you refuse to admit you are biased against him and you reach for straws to attack him all the time. That's the difference.
