Toxic Masculinity ad from Gillette.
QuebecOverCanada replied to Boges's topic in Media and Broadcasting
Violence does exist, in various forms. Bullying exists. Rape does exist. Some males do those things, but they are far from the majority of males to do it. Just so a minority of females are harpies and gold digging whores. Both sexes do things that are unacceptable. So for me it's two things; 1) To amalgamate all the issues of violence/social transgressions to masculinity or 'toxic masculinity' is simplistic, and to reduce it to one gender is just trying to put the working class against one another (men versus women), period. 2) We hear this message everywhere against 'toxic masculinity'. Everywhere. No one dares to call out women on their own undesirable behaviours. -

When we talk about women's issues, we imply that there are issues living as a woman -not being a woman being the problem-. I have never ever seen something pushed by cultural Marxists that was remotely saying that women had issues of character that had to be taken care of. Never. Find me an advertisement about what I just described. One. It doesn't exist. But with men, free ride. Teach men how not to be rapists. Teach men how not to be bullies. Because if you don't teach those things; men are going to be those. And explain to me, why the focus on men with the BBQs in line saying 'boys will be boys'? -

I'm French, excuse my poor English, but thank you for correcting me. You seem to forget that it only implies that one sex has to do things to change, like it is the problematic sex. Like always. -

The ad is implying that all men need to remembered not to be bullies and not to sexually harass, just like it is part of their nature to be these things. It's incredibly insulting to all of us. We never imply that all women need to be taught a lesson on how to not manipulate others for example, yet it's a negative characteristic of femininity, just as bullying and raping is a negative characteristic of masculinity. -

Gillette thinks that as well. So do the other corporations, academia and the clown in my profile picture. -

Sure, men have to be remembered to not harass women and not be bullies. Because if they were not told, they would be. Thank you Gillette for being the moral high ground, after reports state that you exploit children overseas. -

Let's say there is a company that claimed the same message, but to the opposite sex. 'Women have to behave better. Women will be better by not being money hungry whores that divorce from rich men and not manipulate everyone's emotions' What do you think? -

It's not a conspiracy anymore. It's out in the open. White men, we have difficult times ahead and will have to act upon it. All the corporations are against us and push an agenda against us. They are willing to spit on their profit and their customer base just to pander to cultural marxism. Gillette didn't run this advertisement for money, they did it for political reasons, it's obvious. Stating otherwise is either sarcasm or total non sense. It has been revealed today that Google and Youtube were actively manipulating, consciously, manually the search results in favour of the Marxists. The academic institutions are plagued with anti white men doctrine, plagued with Marxists. The current government openly stated that choosing ministers based on their sex rather than qualification was a 'current year thing'. The corporate environment is becoming plagued with lawsuits towards those who do not comply to the rigid ideology of diversity AND also 'muh protect wuhmuhn fom seggual harrasmen'. This is not going to end well. -

Believe it or not, but I exchange a lot on different francophone forums about politics, one in Québec particularly. One of its member is a huge commie supporter -even Venezuela- and he's interested in the economic program of the Islamic Party because the party promises to abolish interests. I'm sure if the Islamic Party can present itself as 'moderates' like they did in Turkey, the Islamic Party in Ontario has a really bright future ahead. Plus, they seem to have the knowledge of the laws of our land, since they base most of their social program on the fact that the Charter of Rights and Freedoms sides with their religious freedom to do and say whatever they want. -

Ok I just read the Islamic Party program and it's pretty hilarious/as backward as the muslims who wrote this garbage, and using the Charter of Rights and Freedoms to their advantage. -

As I stated in another thread, I'm a young buck, I am 23 years old. I know the people of my generation more than most of you on this forum, especially those who attended college from 2015 to 2018. There are lots, and lots of muslim extremists, even in the ranks of the well off and well educated. Being a religious extremist has nothing to do with the West messing with the Middle East. This is a religious doctrine, and thank you for stating the obvious, because it is not understood by the ignorant at all. Read the Quran, and you'll understand there is a tone to act upon certain rules instead of being guided by principles -wrong or not- of Christian or Jewish doctrines. I wish people were more knowledgeable about islam, because it is really a societal cancer. -

The thing is, we're seeing this phenomenon in another civilized country called... Belgium. There's a party called 'ISLAM' over there, and at first was not concerning; they just wanted family tribunals for muslims when the party was founded in 2002. But then, afterwards, it became more and more radical, since there are lot more muslims in Belgium, thus supporting djihadism and other extremist doctrines of the religion of islam. They now support a totalitarian islamic state in Belgium for all Belgians. Give a hand to a muslim, he'll chop off your arm. -

I think that the Christian Heritage Party has no future, because the demography and the willingness for Christians to vote for this party isn't concerning. For muslims, I think we should take it way less lightly, as most muslims live for their religion and push for proselytism in an even more aggressive manner than Christians do, and trust me, I'm not a believer in any religion at all, but muslims are way more radical and tend to invade the public sphere way more than other religions. -
You know what, that made for an ever bigger shit show about the European Union. Industrial production went down for France, Germany and Italy drastically last November and the Euro Zone may enter a stagnation/recession period really soon, while France is burning right now. It seems that the people want to have a say in the decision making, duh, and the yellow vests are demanding civic referendums, which the power in place refuse, stating word for word that it would make it so immigration would be voted to be reduced and maybe the death penalty reestablished. That's what one MP of the party in power said in an interview recently.

Should Canada suspend relations with China?
QuebecOverCanada replied to turningrite's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Should we suspend relations? I mean, it would be their loss, since they're exporting way more to us than the other way around.
