Yes, Omicron is a cold for most people. Yes, it is reasonable to consider it like that. Symptom wise, it is literally a cold. Coronaviruses lead to colds generally. Original sars cov 2 was deadlier. Delta was a bit less deadly. Omicron is much less deadly than Delta.
