  1. This regionalism does not work in the US. There are federal anti monopoly laws against this. Farmers would sometimes sell at a loss or destroy their crop. What often happens though, is someone find a new and novel way to produce new product out of the excess supply.
  2. Just no. India and China are both rapidly aging society. https://www.newsweek.com/india-fertility-rate-alarm-2122755 The places that hasn’t industrialized by now is Never going to industrialize. They simply lack the geography and by virtue, mineral access that supports industrialization. We are all globally aging. This means that consumption habits changes with age. Technological development will slow down as the money supply and young labor talent decline. It’s the people in their 20s and 30s that innovate. Stop thinking Canada has an alternative, no one has an alternative to America. Trump knows this, that’s why you all got slapped with tariffs. He got you all by balls. Best you realize that and pucker up.
  3. My main critique here is about substance. You are missing the main reason for this shall we say “renegotiation” of the world order. The western allies are no longer war ravaged and does not warrant special trade permission with the United States, they have also aged out and can no longer provide a meaningful market for trade much less a worker force that can pay for a new trade deal. Lastly and the most important, there is no longer a big bad Soviet wolf out to steal the American’s lunch. So two pillars of economic and security, that have created your world view is now no longer applicable in this brave new world. The American empire is pulling back, from its global presence to figure out this new era. We’re in the middle of figuring that out for ourselves. So until such time that the Americans feel the need to re-engage with the world, you’ll see a quickening of the economic decline, war and famine amongst previous allies and reemergence of old rivalries. See Pakistan and Afghanistan as an example. The American post world war 2 order only momentarily paused history. What you’re seeing now is more typical of history, when nations pursue their own interests and policies.
  4. Have you read this list? You got him good. Robo just hasn't realized it yet.
  5. I'd argue mostly no. While we are all born with innate desires for adventure, we are still our own worse enemy. Until Humanity can come to a successful unification of the planet, there would be no benefit to colonising another planet. The evils of humanity would just spread into a different world. No amount of Technology will conquer our own worse enemy that lies in our own hearts.
  6. You’d be invaded the next day. Canada could use more freedom
  7. And unlike the politicians that came before him, willing to speak his mind. Right wrong or indifferent. Something that Governor Trudeau and Carney lack the balls to do.
  8. The best all American America has to offer, Canadians can only fantasise.
  9. Nah, you could just bend the knee and this would be over tomorrow. Or you could become a state and avoid all that pleasantries.
  10. I don’t think you fully understand the scale of what you’re implying. First of all ,your male fighting age population 18-24 is less than America’s peacetime military. Second, your population is similar to Ukraine. Third the US population is three times the size of Russia’s . Lastly, our guns work, devastatingly so, and on our home turf. Your cities would be overwhelmed in days. You won’t have time to mobilize a response. Ukraine survive because of American support. Canada would be out of munition with no resupply. You're on an Island, specifically, America's island. Don't be a fool.
  11. Look if you all insist on fighting back, realize what the American want in the first place. A minining and minerall processing hub. We're disentangling Russia and China (one is a mineral extractor and the other a mineral processor). There you go Canucks, that's a free tip from Muricah. I suggest you negotiate along those line since you'll need American Capital investment to build out said industry. This reindustrialization can extend to Canada, you just have to maximize the potential and leverage said potential. @CdnFox
  12. We both know how this will end. With Canada on it's knees begging for...
  13. Sounds like you all are ripe for conquest, a chain of dominoe. All it takes is for one province to go and the rest will fall. Who will it be first?
  14. There is a third option. You can be a North American isolationist and still enjoy affordable TV computers cars and clothing. Yes, it would mean trading your soul to America. This is the power of being the world currency reserve. Print endless money .
  15. You don’t understand, Trump is going for the jugular. He’s accelerating your capital flight and de-industrialization. You are headed for monetary freefall into Zimbabwe style monopoly money. I’ve warned you all the consequences of your elbows up approach. It was either statehood or fourth world artic Somalia. You all chose snow Somalia. Don’t think your retirement funds are safe either. Canadian dollars are headed for toilet paper territory. A fiscal collapse. And from Trump’s perspective that’s just fine. He’ll be able to snatch up Canadian assets for cents on the American dollar.
  16. Just give up, you can’t win. All America needs to do is let Canada go into free fall. If you can’t swallow statehood now, then atleast do what the emperor wants. This ideotic move by Ford is just accelerating your own economic collapse.
  17. Explain the copium math to me. How would financially distress Canucks who can’t even afford food, manage to buy a new vehicle again? Since you all retired, your fuel and vehicle consumption has also decreased. Not only that, labor cost is high in Canada, that requires more capital investment upfront for a new plant for automation. With a shrinking consumer base, how is this even possible??
  18. mmhmmm let me know when Canada decides they want free trade. Why don't you start by dropping the provincial trade barrier oh wait...
  19. Well there it is, are you going to start a concentration camp and start deporting people to Africa? If not, take a seat.
  20. Your industry isn’t even globally competitive, there’s no one to sell to. Canada is becoming Bankrupt. Leave it to Canucks to ruin access to the world richest market . However did you managed to messed that up? Good on you Canada. Sovereignty is more important than poverty it seems.
  21. Stubborn Canucks, why do you all keep insisting on humiliating yourself. Canada has zero chance of economic independence from the United States. You want to be wealthy again, make a deal with the United States. Do what you’re told and you can remain in the Sun. It’s not America that wanted this Canucks, it’s you, your stubborn pride.
  22. Ah yes, more xenophobic remarks by a typical Canuck. Try to be an open minded bigot. The no go zone are the same as corporate districts, there are rules because you don't try and encroach on another Gang's territory. The rules, without them, we live with the animals.
  23. No you all aged out and your population is in decline. Well that is before you all decided to import more foreigners which created a skyrocket housing bubble and potentially car though this is a much easier problem to solve by just driving across the border to buy them. With housing it's not that simple.
  24. That would be the Ozzy down under. We’re putting Canada on time out until you rethink this non-American identity you fabricated for yourselves and petition for statehood. We do, we just don't care. American isolationism is entirely an American luxury, we're self sufficient or powerful enough to get what we want and have things our way. Yes we're quite aware of Canadian bigoted tendency, it's a national sport. You elected a PM whose winning premise was about being a better bigot than the next guy.
  25. Why would you u want a boring banker from the UK to be your head of state. Who wouldn’t want a president like Trump. You’re all lucky to have such an emperor.
