It is obvious they intended to kill someone. If someone really did have a real gun pointing at people, both those officers would have been dead. He literally endangered his own life, his officer life and the public safety unnecessarily. No assessment of the situation. No stopping or drive around to see if kids are in the area or in the park, no parking 100 meters away and speaking over the loud speakers. Given you have a car drive 5 feet away from the kid and a man jump out the car shooting, I doubt anyone would have gotten out that situation alive, the cop made up his mind to kill on sight. The fact that they left him on the ground for 4 minutes to die and did not administer any first aid, clearly shows their intentions. At this rate, one day the civilians are simpling just going to start killing cops for fun... again... like they did in the 60s and 70s and they did in the 1700s and wild west towns. It seems like cops just want to be killed in large numbers again, and I am not sure America is going to survive a bunch of major riots again.

No, you cannot react to a command in 1.5 seconds when you are being ambushed. It takes time to hear the command, recognized who is giving the command etc. If you are expecting lets say a command you can probably react faster. If a cop blind sided you , and you didn't know it was a cop, you wouldn't be able to react. Tell that diversity sticht to people in chinatown, pole town, jewtown, little italy, greektown, koreatown, corktown (ireland), little india, little iran, little pakistan, little portugal,. Why should the original canadian be forced into the school with the italian catholics, when the italian catholics purposely separate themselves from the French Catholics and british secular people and jew schools? I think white kids can get their own schools. It is my view that this currently already occurs though. Most schools have their curriculum designed on the board level, which is usually white majority. Additionally, if Italian, roman catholic, german, russian, ukranian, irish protestant, english secular, french catholic, french secular are not white schools, I am not sure what would be "White" enough to qualify. I certainly think of a roman catholic school named after rome in europe to be white and white centric. I am curious, if you feel the current model is not white enough, how would you make it more white? There are hardly any non-whites in the books or the curriculum. I actually agree with this comment largely. I have seen the polls where 47% of Canadians oppose non-white immigration, then I find it weird how trudeau wins a landslide election on the platform to import 50,000 non-white immigrants. Maybe Canadian voters are hypocrits themselves! I understand the business elite need a source of urban poor to work in their factories. In fact, I know many rich whites who own businesses and lost their tfw under Harper, so sponsored dozens of refugees just to get 24 workers to cook and clean in their hotels out east.

The Mosaic vs the melting pot deal with how the government approach immigration and that is all. It is the official policy, people are free humans, they can do as they please. As for differences in languages, there can be multiple factors. 1 is that America is the number one receiver of immigrants on the face of the earth for the last 200+ years. America receives several times the immigrants Canada does on a yearly basis. america also neighbours Mexico which is linguistically quiet rich which sends over tons of illegal immigrants. People coming from Asia or African villages never heard of canada, but everyone knows America. Additionally, US has way more diverse American Indian groups. There are over 400 federally recognized tribes, whose contribute to 216 of those 422 languages. In otherwords, There are more languages spoken by American Indians than ALL of the Canadians combined. So if America never had a single immigrant, it would STILL be more diverse than Canada

There is certainly alot of pushback on this board, don't get me wrong, but this is not the position of the federal, government, neither the conservatives or liberals (the text I saw were under conservative governments). And you cannot honestly think Harper opposed this type of ethnci enclaves when he brought in so many Chinese into the country and Israeli jews, who tend to be amongst the more insular groups who create these ethnic type enclaves. You'll have Chinatowns or jewtowns. Some immigrant groups don't build these but they weren't invited in. Firstly, the immigrants who tend to do the best are the ones who rely on their countrymen already here to find them opportunities and this tends to be the case more so in the ones who are poorly assimilated and least integrated who build up their own communities with clearly ethnic identifying marks. The Chinese, the jews, with jew temples, jew buildings, jew real estate developments etc. Now I may indeed agree with you that it CAN be problematic, and I might agree, if presented with evidence it is a bad idea, I don't know that to be the ccase, but the federal government goes to China, india, israel etc. saying you can come to canada and form your own ethnic based ethnic enclave, it include the Harper conservatives who helped constructed these in markham (chinese) and Brampton (Indian). It is my view politicians may prefer this because when people are in nice groups, you get to play to the group instead of the individual. An argument could be made Canada is in practice showing many elements of a melting pot. Of course any country with a large group of mixed ethnic groups will have some degree of interactions. However it was planned as a mosaic and advertised as a mosaic. I cannot say immigrants want a melting pot, the federal government is advertising the nation as a mosaic where you can come to Canada, practice your home culture and more or less keep on living how you were iving before and that is part of the mosaic. You do not have to integrate, you do not have to assimilate, you do not have to learn English and you do not have to interact with people who don't speak your language or come where you come from. I've also noticed hypocrisy in that when I travel around the world and find expat groups/immigrants, I'll find Americans, Uk, English, Canadians, Aussies and South Africans living in 3rd world nations for decade + and not assimilating. I think you are underestimating the difficulty it takes to make friends with locals who have a different culture, language and life outlook and values that an immigrant. Its like you go to Thailand and will see groups of white western men all sticking together and not integrating, and I am not talking about tourist here. And I don't see any white people lining up to learn cree and ojibwe.

Canada has a unique type of multiculturalism. Cultural mosaic. USA has a melting pot. LINK Canada has a mosaic. LINK In America, doesn't matter what you were before, you come to America, you become an American. In Canada, notice how all the nationalities are keeping their nationalities and to themselves. No one "becomes" Canadian, there is no forced concept of assimilation and become Canadian.. The Brazilian will stay Brazlian, they Israeli will stay Israeli, look at all the different nations who make up Canada. You stay in your own little ethnic area and that forms the mosaic. That is the multiculturalism the federal government promised. The chinese in Richmond are just doing what the federal government told them they could do. Come to canada, stay in their ethnic enclave and not leave it and still be full Canadians. Is it the Chinese who should be blamed or a federal government which refused to assimilate French Canadians and make them speak English and set the bad example for all other groups to follow. You are indeed being duplicitous. I don't think those who support africentric schools are claiming this anymore than italian centric, germancentric, english, french and other white culutral centric, o and asians, jews and muslim centrics are claiming this. If there was a single school system, then there might be grounds for such an argument, but toronto has over 70+ cultural/linguistic/ethnic schools. At this point it is just plain discriminatory that indians, hindus, muslims, jews, italians, greeks, germans, ukranians, french, english, irish, native indian, lgbt, punjab, chinese and so on and so forth all get their own centric schools but a large minority in the city is denied it. The studies recommended the schools to boost student scoring and fix dropout rates. Eurocentric curriculum combined with a broader eurocentric culture, and racism from teachers, students, and administrators is toxic and poisionius to these children, and it creates an environment where 40% say they'd rather not go and take that harassment. It isn't worth that to get a degree. The africentric school removes alot of these racism and eurocentrism, and shows these students they matter and they are important and that the african experience is central to humanity. The Eurocentric education tells them they are worthless largely by omission but partly by portraying them in constantly negative ways aka (you always either the help or the butler or in the alternative you mlk movie or nwa movie). You can go through k-12 education do well and not know a single thing about your own peoples.

So what do you call -greek language schools german school board french school board roman catholic school board ukranian catholic schools english schools and lgbt schools irish protestant schools "Art" schools aka white art/european arts like "Drama" and "Dance" and notice the music is 95% european classical instruments coming from orchestra. What, we pay taxes to a government who promises to maintain roads. Damn right you should be able to sue a negligent government who makes no attempt to fulfill their legal obligation to have drive-able roads. I remember many times in Toronto days where no snow trucks would clean the streets. These people are paid by the city, the city has a responsibility to fulfill its obligations, if the government has no obligations then we need to abolish all tax.

I doubt that is the case, there are thousands of independent operators, not all of them were protesting, but many were.
