  2. Yes, I believe in it too. The problem is we live next door to a very powerful country and in some things like agriculture, we just can't work in the same way as Americans. I don't agree with Socialism either and I agree government meddles in the economy way too much. The situation with a powerful country like America next door to us means we can't just allow them to completely take over our economy. So having some tools too protect ourselves from the powerful U.S. corporations and power is necessary in certain areas. I wouldn't call that Socialism. It is just acting in self defence in a few areas that are essential to us. If we let America do what it wants with our economy and businesses, we will get hammered. We need to have some walls or barriers to protect our economy from takeover.

The alternative would be to just let the Canadian farm industry freely compete with the American system which is more volatile and unstable and the American industry is many times the size of the Canadian industry.   5. Here is an interesting 3 minute video from Fox News. I never watch Fox News, but came across this short video that explains one interesting and important thing from the Bible. It is not the central message of the Bible, but could be a useful lesson that could help reduce heart attacks, strokes, mental issues, conflicts, stress, and other things if one pays attention. The lawyers argued the case up to the U.S. Supreme Court but lost when the court ruled that “the power of exclusion of foreigners [is an] incident of sovereignty belonging to the government of the United States” and “cannot be granted away or restrained on behalf of anyone.” Simply put, Chae Chan Ping v.   8. I live with reality all the time and am not fooling myself. Unfortunately, I think you have been fooled along with most of the world. How so you might say. That is a long story, but very briefly it all comes down to what God says in the Bible. I know you, like most here, don't want to hear about it, but it is the hard truth. The King James Bible explains it clearly. Man is a corrupt fallen sinner. That is the cause of all the hate in the world. Couldn't say it simpler. Get yourself a King James Bible and study it. Of course I can't abolish racism. Neither can you or anybody else on here abolish any of the evils in the world or change the world. I am only pointing out one of the big problems in the world. It is one subject of many that come up on the forum. Likely it will change nothing. But sometimes there is the odd person that learns something on a forum. Perhaps we do learn a little about how other people think.

  12. Looks like he is doing a poor job in almost every thing he is involved in. Look at the tariff mess. The deportation issue is a disaster. You think it is fine, but if you were a undocumented migrant trying to survive in a cruel world, you might not think what is happening is good. Trump claimed that when he becomes President, he would end the war in Ukraine in one day. Sure. He has been in office about five months. What happened? The middle east is a mess and seems to be getting worse. The only thing good I can think of is he motivated Canada to do a few things like tighten up the border and he helped push the government to increase military spending to reach at least 2% of GDP for NATO. It hasn't been done yet; we will see how well Carney does with it. But he seems hostile to much of the west and appears to want to appease Putin. What a disaster that is. Not sure yet how the Iran/Israel conflict will go and what he will do with that.

The Constitution says "nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law" Seems pretty clear to me. I already pointed out it says "any person" but you ignore it. I guess you prefer fascism. He prefers to appease his MAGA base who don't seem to have much respect for human rights or Constitutional law.

""nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws." (14th Amendment)" It says "any person". It does not say only an American citizen. Any person is any person, even illegal immigrants. The fact is there are many people in the U.S. who are not American citizens. There are lawful permanent residents or Green Card holders. There are visitors and tourists. There are foreign students and people with Visas. There are people with passports visiting or on business from other countries and there documented and undocumented immigrants. The 14th amendment applies to everyone.
  18. It looks like the part about Jan 6 was a part of a larger article I posted,which is an opinion piece. Opinions do not fit the definition of a lie in this case. Someone believes Jan 6 riots were more violent than LA event. That is someones opinion. Everyone has a right to their opinion sbout such things.
